I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 rooted with original KE7 firmware.
I have a pink spot in the photos/videos.
There is a solution to resolve this bug?
Yes and no. I have it too and found out that the automatic white-balance is a problem factor. When I use another preset it's much better. But here comes the problem:
There are only a few presets.
Besides that you can only get your phone replaced or use post-processing.

I'm not sure you are referring to the issue that made the screen gradually faded to a lighter color on one side, that was a software issue fixed on recent ROM releases.
99% have that tint? Ive never seen it in real life... Mine is normal, no yellow/blue tint, I got it at release day.

And you've seen 5,999,999 phones to be able to draw this conclusion? Some people have problems and in certain regions exchanges seem to be coming from the same batches so I can see why it may seem widespread. It's not or more people on the forum would be *****ing.
Mine had this issue and after replacing screen it has it again but little less. Mine frend has it too. so conclusion is only blind people think they dont have it

I don't think I am that blind compared my screen to a new sg2 I don't see the yellow or blue ting I purchased mine Aug 3rd. Is anyone who purchased their SGII in North America having this issue or is it just the first release batch outside of North America that is having this problem? Some on asked for a screen shot so we can all see what your looking at how about it.

None of tge SGS II has a yellow lcd display issue.... the SGS II doesn't have lcd but oled
Anyway it's a non-issue, if you really don't like the color balance of your display you just change it using chainfire3d pro

you know what they say thou beauty is in the eye of the beholder , so im guessing most people either a don’t notice it , or b simply live with it.
I showed my first phone which was quite bad to numerous people some people spotted it straight away and was shocked like me, others didn’t but did notice it when pointed out, but said they could live with it on another note they all noticed the pink spot instantly anyhow .....
I’ve had 2 now both from different batches and awaiting third tomorrow ive checked the device out in numerous shops and they all had it to various degrees along with smear / ghosting text (which not many people seem to complain about). Reminds me of when Sony released there flagship tv the x3500 followed by the led version the x4500 both of these flagship tvs had smear / ghosting. This was acknowledged as a draw back of that technology as the panel needed to warm up.
However Samsung haven’t said anything in relation to this i.e. if its a fault or a drawback with the technology which leaves most people who are unhappy with there device swapping it endlessly looking for a perfect / working model free from yellow tint or pink spot when in reality there is no such device.
thanks bcoz of ur replays.
but today i c one of my friends that have sgs2 and they sgs2 have not this issue )
i root and install cm7,criscelo,Villain,litening but i never c yellow issue in left side
NOW I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW SGS2 WITH OK LED :d
THANKS

You can replace the screen a million times, the software is the culprit... the issue has been fixed by Samsung. They adjusted the screen sensors to distribute evenly the light intensity.
Fun test for yawl... If you find the "tint" noticeable... Go to display settings, turn OFF the option that says "Auto adjust screen power"
viola.
No more tint.
however, only a true black pixel is "off" now, and battery might suffer, I haven't played too much with it, but I noticed it.
It is a software issue, but the reason some people see it more often than others, is simply the color of the images and text that they display on their screen more often. OLED will always have "warmer" tones than a standard LCD, you can tweak the software to cool them, but they are noted for VIVID color, not accurate color

Weli i have the latest software there is xxxkh4 but the issue remains
Last week monday I got my Galaxy SII. Fantastic Device! But the screen had an ugly yellowish/brownish tint on the left side of the screen so I decided to send it back and ask for a return unit.
Yesterday I finally got it, only to realize that it also has the yellowish tint on the left side, especially on low brightness levels but you can still notice it on the highest brightness level ( the seal of the box was closed so I'm sure ist was a new one).
I don't think I can live with the screen. So I'will probably have to return it again.
So my question is, does your phone also have this Problem?
Or do think the shop I ordered from recieved a faulty batch?
Lol!! Most of the s2 models have this problem, flash some latest rom and your problem will be gone.
Considering you as a newbie, search before posting next time, this problem has been discussed so many times, and even a separate thread is running for that.

Search before u post
Sorry for creating a new thread, I normally use the search function but I was writing from my phone and the battery was dying.
I'm on the newest firmware KK5 (2.3.6) and the Problem is still there, though not as bad as in version 2.3.3 that the device shipped with.
Can you name a firmware that doesn't have this Problem?
On a different note: how can a device that has been out for more than 6 month still have problems like this? :mad

Mine have this problem. Sure it's a software related problem? (I can't find the related posts)
Recently my customer sent me a Galaxy S2 for flashing to Malaysia stock rom. It works smoothly on Gingerbread 2.3.6. But when I flashed it with ICS 4.03, the ON/OFF menu went missing. And some time error messages keep appearing.
I can’t help noticing the difference between this unit and normal retail unit sold in Malaysia. The locations of following components are different: battery connector, simcard holder, memory holder and signal amplifier. Besides that, it works with Kies. Having SuperAMOLED display. Camera produce good quality photo. Imei on battery compartment is matching with *#06#.
This is the first time I encounter with this type of Galaxy S2. Wishing some one can point out, whether it is fake one, or just a variant production. Thanks.
* I can't post the photo of the mentioned unit, as I new to the forum. I wonder if any member can post the photo on behalf? Thanks. Here is the link (need to add http: at the front the link):

I have rooted my I9100 GT model several times, this is for the first time facing the challenge after installing some fonts using root manager on 4.1.2 leaked stock rom.
I went to samsung service centre last day and they tried by changing LCD display without having any serious test. still the problem is there, I reverted back to my original screen. I tried many official/custom roms. Now my screen often goes all pink for a split second. Some times the screen looks fine sometimes like purple/pink ink spilled here and there..Even the authorised service centre guys don't know to resolve..:crying:
Any idea anyone faced this challege?? Please help me to solve this issue..plzzzzzzzz
Still no solutions, suggestions, replies
Look for LCD test code(ussd) then try all colors.

A friend of mine had an similar problem with his SII.
a pink field began to grow in a corner of the screen and it went bigger and bigger until the whole Screen had very strange colors. He was very lucky because Samsung changed his display for free because of warranty.
It looked very similar to your photo...

Hm wierd because the display should new.
But sadly i dont have the reciept for the phone. Maybe i can just talk to samsung directly, and ask if its still supported by the warranty.
But thank you very much for your input!
i would still like to here if there is a quick fix or anything.
