It's best if you flash a custom rom (e.g. CM7), then you'll be able to move most apps to the SD card.

Hey guys I have just come from a HTC imagio which is a windows mobile device with no option of having android, Although recently I bought a HTC HD2 which does have the option to put android on it.
Now my question to you is WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE between Nand and SD card rooting? ( I think that's the right terminology).
And are there relitivly simple ways of roming android onto my device other than rooting like with the imagio all I had to do was Hardspl then rom?
Just some info about what i'm getting my head into would be nice.
If this breaks any forum rules just delete it Mr Moderator.

To root, you need to flash a rooted kernel (CF is closest to stock with root) through Odin.

Hi
Have a galaxy s2 with an 8 GB sd card. Was experimenting with making an app in eclipse (ubuntu). Downloaded the app to the phone after which my sd card just doesn't show up....either on the phone or on the linux machine.
Help would be appreciated.

Hi All,
I'm doing a bit of research before going on to root my HTC Salsa.
I wanna know that after rooting will I be able to flash ANY new ROM that comes into the market?
Or is there any hardware restriction as such?
My HTC Salsa currently has the following specs -
Android 2.3.3, HTC Sence 2.1
So if a new ROM comes out and has got Sense 3.5, ICS Update, Beats Audio etc etc.. will I be able to install it on my device or will there be any hardware problems?
Regards,
Sameer
You will only be able to install things built FOR the Salsa which is here

me too
Hi. No help I think, but I'm having the same problem with my Sensation (standard one rather than xl). Shortly after update I got the "sd card unexpectedly removed" error message. A reboot fixed it briefly but the message occurred again & now I can't access the sd card at all & can't use any apps on it.
Hopefully that's some useful extra info.
I'm in the UK with Orange updating my sensation to version 4.0.3
I'll post anything I find elsewhere here.
Thanks,
Chris
yes i am getting this issue also, spoke to HTC care online and they want me to take it in to a shop for them to install it......
