Still can't get a single contact tile on the home screen, just the main contacts app tile. Does this launcher allow you to pin contacts to the home screen, there isn't an option to do it in wp7 contact.

Just go with the miui theme. Good anyways though

this is a better option then the rom because on the rom on the dev board has an issue with the mic volume....you have to scream for ppl to hear you....I just used tdj miui and put the theme on it...great battery life and works just the same very smooth and responsive

[CM7 Theme Chooser] Crispy Bread - LDPI goodness for Wildfire (RC4 - 20/3)

Wassup guys?!?
As you may know, the Wildfire has a low-res screen - with a relatively small number of pixels/inch (pixel density) - this is called low density or LDPI. However, CM7 currently uses MDPI resources - which are higher-res and are made for screens with higher pixel density.
So why should this bother you? Because these images are scaled down by the system to fit our screen - and they lose their sharpness and goodness as intended by Google, and the result is... yucky. Gradients get choppy and weird unintended colours pop up. And, the icons are small enough that due to our low pixel density, they use very few pixels and are washed out and ugly.
That's where this theme comes in. It turns out, AOSP has complete LDPI support for the main framework, so I ported those resources and resized/cropped/edited SystemUI resources to better fit our screen. Also, the icons are larger and easier/more pleasant to see on our low-res screen. Gradients are now how they were always meant to be - a smooth transition from one colour to another.
Download here.
Enjoy LDPI goodness. I doubt you won't like this if you're a fan of stock gingerbread.
What's themed
-Entire framework (dialogs, spinners, buttons, backgrounds, etc)
-Status bar icons and notification dropdown
-Settings icons
-Smooth indeterminate progress bars (stock is so choppy)
-Battery percentage / supercircle mod (separate versions)
To Install
Install apk file like normal from a file manager.
Open theme manager. Choose the one with the screenshot below for the preview, and hit Apply and then Apply anyway.
REBOOT REBOOT REBOOT to see all changes.
Changelog
1.0 RC4 [20/3] - Themed some missed out notification icons (music, gmail, email, calendar), themed music app, and music/news&weather widget backgrounds. Also some other stuff... can't remember
1.0 RC3u2 [19/3] - Crisped up the notification power widget icons.
1.0 RC3u1 [17/3] - Added themed keyboard
1.0 RC3 [17/3] - Added Cyanbread version, fixed clear notifications button, minor changes, themed phone call background. GMail show pictures button not working, got rid of ugly edges though. Coming up - themed keyboard.
1.0 RC2u2 [10/3] - fixed green progress bars (lol me)
1.0 RC2u1 [9/3] - minor update, fixed weird tabs. I think this theme is preeeety much done, unless someone finds another bug
1.0 RC2 [9/3] - fixed alarm icon, headset icon (why google, why have you made such a dumb one and given me extra work?), touched up the chat icon, fixed a couple bugs which i bet nobody noticed, added battery%/supercircle versions.
Files are now in my dropbox for easy uploading.
1.0 RC1 [8/3] - Initial release

Not only icons, I ported the ldpi framework from AOSP and I'm in the process of ldpi-izing SystemUI.
That means pretty much anything with a gradient looks waaaay better now.

If you are talking about the bar that has the "wifi/mobile data/gps" type stuff in it.
On CM7 ROMs it's built into the notifications pull down.
menu button > settings > CM Settings > Interface > Notifications Power Widget > Widget Buttons
They're probably coded into the ROM framework. I don't think it's a separate apk.
I agree with jdkoren. I asked about the same kind of thing when our phones first got root. This was pretty much the consensus. A bunch of people mentioned that it was coded into the settings.apk and it wasn't possible just to pull it and install as a seperate apk. I have heard of apps that do put a power control widget in the notification bar, but I cannot remember their names. I did see them in the home screen screenshot thread in the themes & apps forum though.
If you just want the widget, use extended control from the market. Not sure about notification buttons.

The power widget is part of the CM7 Settings.apk, it cannot be used on another ROM. Switchpro Widget is a fairly close approximation.

[Q] [MIUI]is it possible to slide down the statusbar when locked?

I'm using a Desire-z with miui 2.1.13
I want to slide down my statusbar when locked.
I think this is possible if you can change something in a theme file (.mtz)
Is there somebody who knows a good site with info about miui theming, or someone who can tell me what I need to write and where?
Miui has alot of amazing lockscreen but for what you are looking for download an app called widgetlocker. It allows you to slide the notification bar down while locked.

4.2.2<4.1.2?

Am I the only one who thinks Google messed up many android features in 4.2?
1) Notification power widgets . now you need a 2nd panel for that.
2) AOKP allows revert to old style power widgets, but they are laid out poorly and less elegant compared to <4.2
3) Lockscreen widgets. Can someone PLEASE explain how this is faster/,more efficient than simply setting a lockscreen target? For example, soundhound ID now can be a lockscreen target. If you set it as a lockscreen widget, it takes more swipes/effort to get to.
.if you agre e or have any helpful workarounds for googles ridiculous decisions, I'd love to hear. Much thanks, all.

I 100% agree.
The lock screen widgets, very sadly, remind me of windows 8. There is no need to have x amount of lock screens. Press the power button and move the lock ring to what ever app you wanna open.
Aren't the notification toggles CM based tho?

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but if using cm10.1 you can enable the old style toggles in settings/system/notification drawer, check power widget and configure. You can also disable lockscreen widgets using an app from the Playstore named lockscreen policy. That pretty much solves your issues. Also, as mentioned those toggles were from cm not Google. 4.2+ are the first builds to have toggles.
Sent from my LTEvo
At first I preferred 4.1.2 but after using 4.2.2 for awhile I really like it. I ignore the lockscreen widgets and with the toggles set to pull down from either right or left on the status bar it works really well.
I figured I had to adapt to stay current and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. :victory:

i just use CMs notification widgets its the same as the old one and i make sure the other ones dont pop up. as for lockscreen widgets. i dont use them much but i do like widgetlocker. that thing has so many different addons for notifications its pretty badass. better than the old one of just clock and weather and calendar. i dont use much of the other widgets for anything else though. you can set the lockscreen to always have targets as the primary when waking up so you dont have push the lock button then target what you want to open. then it ends up just working like 4.1.2 just you have a better lockscreen clock/notifications display.

Honestly i feel as 4.2 simply added more "sweets" to 4.1, and we have the choice to ignored these features.i love the toggles, one of the features im impatiently waiting for in the Evo 4.2 Sense 5 update. As far as lock screen widgets go i use one and only 1 widget, daily motivational quotes widget i disable all other ones (Even the camera widget), but for each their own. we could have updates like IOS where we get little to no new eyecandy to play and show off *Shurgs*
