Hi guys
I have installed the leajmked ics Tom on this site and I am having many issues with it. Previously I somehow had a Indian version of gingerbread installed so going back isn't an option. I hear 3 mobile have released an update to ics here in the UK today. How can I put my phone on a stock 3 mobile rom for Ginger and update to ics over kies? I have tried many links that don't seen to work. Thanks folks

Be far far easier if you downloaded the 3uk ICS rom via CHECKFUS and flashed via Odin .

I just got my phone yesterday.
Firmware info :
I9300XXALE8
Connected my phone to kies and found out that there is an upgrade already. I guess it's the LE9
Anybody upgraded the phone to this firmware?
Any clues about what's new in it ?

I'm on carrier branded Optus in Australia; it says mine is up to date with LE8 (hey, I'm a poet and didn't realise)
But I did get a samsung kies update first when I opened it.
What country/carrier etc are you on?
Mine is an international version, I'm in Egypt

I am on the leaked version with baseband version 1777UCLC2, and I want to go to the offical version, but in Kies it says your device does not support software upgrading via kies
does any one know what I could do?

What nick said, and read. I know it's been mentioned in the (countless) other Official ICS threads.

Hello. I'm a spanish Galaxy s2 user. Since I learn to change Roms whith Odin, I've tried several Roms, all of them official. Now I'd like someone to tell me how to update using Kies again. I mean, if I'm using a 4.0.3 official Rom and I want to update to 4.1 official in september-october, what should I do to do update through Kies again?
I think that I have to use a 4.0.3 official spanish Rom, but I'm not sure.Thank you so much.
You need to use stock rom from your carrier.

Well when it gets released you can download it from WWW.sammobile.com. or you can revert back to GB with your stock firmware and wait for the ota update nearer to when its going to be released.
Have you considered shooting and updating to a jb rom now? Rootbox is stable and amazing. I would recommend it

My carrier is Vodafone Spain but my phone is unlocked since its birthday.
I thought I could update from 4.0.3 insteadof 2.3...
Thanks anyway.
My question is when the official update is released by Samsung would it be wise to do a factory reset? I hear with people flashing their phones with the latest roms leaked who encounter problems being told to factory wipe/Reset. All I have done is flashed the latest firmware when it gets released by Sam mobile. So would it be wise for me to do so or not and why do others who flash their phones with latest roms do so?

Cool cheers. Actually I should still get the OTA update even though I've flashed my own none carrier firmware shouldn't I? It's not going to not work for whatever reason and I'm left wondering where my update is?!

If it's an official firmware from Samsung, you should get OTA updates. Even if it's not the firmware your S3 has been delivered with.
