Can't get Bluetooth mouse working - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Just got a Bluetooth mouse. It worked with my laptop. Try connecting to phone and it pairs but wont connect. It did connect once somehow but wasn't even working. Now I can't get it to connect at all. It looks like it connects for a split second then goes back to just saying paired.
I'm on shostock rom. Does it not work with 2.3.6.
Any help is appreciated

Well luckily I had a restored to stock sgs2 right next to me (exchange through warranty department for defective screen) and it worked perfectly on that with no problems.
So looks like its either this Rom or android 2.3.6.
Is there a way I can put Bluetooth from 2.3.4 on this Rom?

Bluetooth broken in gingerbread

I don't use bluetooth often but my wife's new car has bluetooth and when I had froyoi could connect no problem. Now that I'm running gingerbread (have the issue with simply honey 3.5 and 3.6) It says failed to connect every time I try to pair it. Anyone else having bluetooth issues or know of a fix?

Bluetooth keyboard

Has anyone used/tried a Bluetooth keyboard with this phone, I am finding myself missing tactile keys since moving to this phone. Are there any compatibly issues to worry about or will any Bluetooth keyboard be able to work on the phone?

Bluetooth keyboards AND mouses (mice?) work. Here's the caveat: on any 2.3.6 ROMS, they load once then after you shut bluetooth off and turn it back on, you're done. It cycles on and off continuously. It's a problem with all 2.3.6 ROMS, and it's not a kernel issue, it's a bug within the Android System itself.
Meanwhile, if you have a 2.3.4 ROM or 2.3.7 (CM7 and MIUI are these builds) the keyboard and mouse will work without a hitch. I've tested it, and it's pretty legit man, not gonna lie.

The bthid issue has been fixed in the kk6 build as well as newer releases, thanks to Entropy512, his newest kernel has it working again.

I bought a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and found it actually works much much better on my GS2 than it does on the tab. Wasn't able to sync the mouse to my phone though, not that it would be that useful with a mouse anyways.

Bluetooth phone book issues

I have updated to LPQ hoping the Bluetooth phone book issue would be fixed but it is not Does anyone know if cm9 rom has the same problem on the sgs2? Let me know so I can decide on putting my phone on sale or install the right ICS rom

I actually think ICS has a compatibility issue with certain BT devices.
I bet you ran in to no issues on the GB platform.
My BT crashes my phone when paired with my car stereo and streaming music. And I cant get my phone book to work either.
Actually I did.

Bluetooth A2DP

Hoping a fellow xda member has found a way around this issue before. So I connect my amaze to my cars stereo to stream using A2DP, I use to do this with my galaxy s 2 as well. One thing I find annoying about the amaze is that unlike my gs2 it doesnt connect automatically and I have to enter the pin code everytime can someone share a way to get the amaze to automatically do this? Tried some autoconnect Bluetooth app from the market but it still made me type in the pin code.

In my car you have to register the phone to the head unit in order for it to connect automatically. Have you done this?
Hope it helps,

It works with my truck 100%. It may be your radio. I have an aftermarket Sony radio unit and my Amaze connects to it with no problem. My music plays through my speakers and I do not have to enter a pin code besides pairing it up for the first time.

Well I'm using a pioneer and my galaxy s 2 did this just fine. Everything else works fine which is weird I can flip through songs from the head unit. Another issue I see is the amaze only connects media or phone depending on which screen I'm on with my pioneer the only way to connect both is by going into the settings and doing it manually.

Which pioneer do you have? My brother has the AVH-5200DVD and his works with no problem. I connected it for him and it works.

Are you on ICS or GB? I'm thinking of you should probably install ICS for the updated radio. It may give you a better connectivity.
I'm on ics it didn't work on either maybe my phone isnt paired as the primary or there is something I can reset in the stereo?

Hmm, gonna go mess with it don't see any reason for it not to work the way it does for you

You guys were right it connects rediculously fast with ics I got it figured out, has to register the phone permanently apparently the Bluetooth unit can connect for just a one time connect and permanent registration.

I have a 08 lancer gts with a navigation. It's connects to Bluetooth automatically. I recently added a2dp Bluetooth aux and I now have it connect automatically to that whenever I turn in the car. Only had to enter the pin once.

This might not be much of an answer but since noone has yet I'll bite..... I tried to set it up in my 2011 Kia Sorento through the "ipod" dock and it kept going like it wanted to connect. Started charging the phone everything. Im having an unrelated problem with my charging port/battery charge somethingorother so it wouldnt lock on but I would say its a definite possibility when I get my issues fixed it will work. I say that because when I was on GB or ICS and tried to do it, it would immediately say no media connected and cease charging. This actually tried to connect and I feel if I didnt have my other issues it would have. Hope that at least gives ya some idea!
USB Audio Out...
Does not work without a dock on our phones, and even if you have a dock, it doesn't work on any CM based ROM. We need to have a Touchwiz based ROM to enjoy audio out via USB.
I love CM9 ICS and it kills me that I can't use my car dock fully.
