Hi,
I am new to this forum and also I am not an expert in mobile technologies. I am using android mobile for my small business calling purpose. I am using an app named 'My sales dialer' as a power dialer. And this dialer is main profit center for me. Now I want to switch to windows mobile! can I run this dialer in windows mobile or I have to use my existing mobile? Is there any dialer same like my sales dialer (mobile based CRM & power dialer) available for windows mobile?

Why can I not find a Today Plugin with typical mobilephone functions, like signal, sms icon etc (just like on a mobile phone)? It also must have little dial keys to dial directly.
The only plugin there is is the PhoneToday from http://www.Burroak.on.ca, but is not complete.
So, developers, try to make such a application!

This may be a stupid question from a noob...
Hi everyone. I've recently owned an XDA Exec PPC device (which is very marvelous by the way) and I'm trying to synchronize it with my Vista Ultimate computer. I haven't installed anything on my computer and and that I should download a Windows Mobile Device Center ver 6.1 instead of installing ActiveSync. I've already followed the instructions on the site and my device is able to "successfully connect" with my computer. However it didn't "synchronize" my data.
My question now is... if it successfully connected with my computer, why does my device or the computer have the same data? I've checked the Windows Calendar and the Windows Contacts and it still doesn't show any changes. Could it be a problem with my computer? Or on my device?
I've read some article somewhere that ActiveSync should still be used even though there is already a Windows Mobile Device Center as this compliments it. Is this true? Should I need to download ActiveSync?
Thanks for you time guys. I hope you can help me out.

Mobile device center replaces activesync. You cannot use activesync under vista (and you cannot use mdc under XP)
Thanks for the response
@ Doodle
Thank you for your response . Yes you are correct on that. My question now is where can I find the data the I have synchronize between my XDA device and computer? I've checked both Windows Calendar and Contacts and it doesn't seem to have transferred the data although the connections are okay. This also goes to the device. Please help.
Cheerios,
P.S.
I've already establish the connections (e.g. Contacts, Tasks, Calendar, etc.) on the MDC 6.1.

You've just missed the most important step, buy MS Outlook in order to show your syncronized data.
Thanks!
@ Cayotte,
Thank you very much for your response. I was assuming that MS would use the default Calendar and Contact applications on Vista for the WMDC. I've successfully synchronize my device and Outlook '07.
To Doodle and Cayotte, thanks again guys for all your help. I really appreciate it.
Cheerios,
Quick question:
with the new program, will Notes on the WM6 device sync and install notes on the desktop Outlook program?
Brief Introduction:
BlackBerry Connect allows you to have access to the BlackBerry's push e-mail functions as well as receive BlackBerry Messenger IMs from BlackBerry users. This program does not allow you to send new IMs from your device.
BlackBerry Application Suite (BAS) allows you to run a virtual BlackBerry on your Windows Mobile device. This allows you to access the functions of many BlackBerry applications including BlackBerry Messenger, but is currently being testing on on GSM models.
Now, my main goal is to find someone that can allow BlackBerry Messenger to have full functionality on a Windows Mobile CDMA device. I don't care about any other application.
Can anybody take on this project and succeed? Theoretically it is possible we just need someone with the knowledge to do it.
Who can help out the many that are unable to help themselves?
bump any news on this?

I believe this would require someone at RIM to be involved as you would need a BlackBerry PIN number, which would get you access to their server. There is an app out there which allows you to receive BB messages but other than what has been developed by RIM nothing I am aware of that will allow you to send.
It's not possible on any non-RIM device.
The PIN you get when you sign up for bb-connect is only used an as a means of identifying your account in the RIM provisioning tool.

Today I came across another Application (Free) Efficasoft Mobile Express for Sending/Managing SMS from PC via Mobile Device. Hope this is what you may be looking for? The main advantage is that I can easyly compose sms from PC while working and send those via Mobile Phone .

Thank you friend. I have just installed and loved the App.
Thank you all.
Is it possible to join a Microsoft Office Communicator call via VPN? At the moment I am able to connect to my office VPN (via Cisco AnyConnect app) , but I am lost as to how I can take my communicator calls on my phone.
Right now I have to boot up my laptop, connect to the VPN and take the call on my laptop, which is quite inconvenient especially when I'm out and about. It would be great if I could just do all this on my phone (a 1st gen Galaxy Note)
Thank in advance!:good:
Anyone? No ideas? I really need this for work and if anyone knows of any client apps for Office Communicator your advice would be great.
after a few days of research, I am able to somewhat answer my own question
I installed the Xavy client from the play store, and was able to configure it using my office communicator credentials. Its not the slickest of apps and is not very intuitive, with most of the hardware buttons rendered useless - but I am able to look up and add contacts, and best of all, make calls as if I was using the desktop Office Communicator client itself!..well, almost...as there is no way to bring up the dialer while within a call, you cannot do things such as dial the operator, then input a local number. Other then that directly calling someone in your contacts list is easy enough. Another downside though is for some reason the volume buttons do not work and you cannot adjust voice volume..
The app is listed as free on the play store, so I'm assuming support will be at a minimum.
I am yet to test it over VPN, but I believe it should work.
On a side note, I can't believe the lack of information there is online on topics such as this...I would think that many major companies would be implementing some manner of VOIP technology to minimize communications costs for their mobile employees...
