Is anyone aware of a way to remove the size limit of a mms. I have tried apps like handcent and gosms but they only let me increase the limit to 1mb for sending video, 1 MB isn't much with the high quality of our phones camera. I am running unnamed 2.1.1. Any help would be great.

The limit is imposed by att. There is nothing you can do to increase it.

Actually I have previously increase the size where I could send MP3 files and HD pictures and videos on a WindowsMobile 6.1 phone.
So my point is its not imposed by att because I have successfully send files. So there must be a way.
.... http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=34458&cv=820...The messages that are too big are compressed. Now that says broadband I'm assuming they mean their network, but I have heard of people sending up to like 1 megabyte or something. I dunno I can send everything I need to hehe
MMS size limit
I dont know about what ATT says but i have succesfully done it with a Windows Mobile 6.1 phone through registry editing.
(Device PalmPro)
Well that was 2 years ago...
Unless the changes were recent.. than thats a different story...
This is why we have email, Dropbox, Drive etc.

Gmail won't let you attach larger than 25mb... so a video larger than 1 minute long still usually be to large.
Ridiculous if you ask me.

Before anyone flames you let me clear this up. It's *Unlimited, and not Unlimited. After 5GB they throttle you down below 2G speeds until the end of the current billing cycle. There isn't much you can do about it. Next month try to take it easy with the streaming.
Oh I see. Thanks for that!! I Watch Netflix on my phone cause the home internet got cut! Lol!

Imagine if it wasn't and you had no texting plan.
Throttled and being charged an extra .25 for the text. That would be just terrible and lulzy on T-Mobile's part.
Dood complain to T-mobile.
People that have been hitting their cap has usually been for tethering and thats a BIG no no you cant complain if you get throttled if you tether because thats your fault. Under normal use you should never hit your cap. But with a heavy dose of Pandora, web browsing, pod cast downloads, mp3 downloads, downloading thru the stock media hub, using 3G for apps like geocaching, and now the ability to stream movies with apps like netflix. All of that combined I believe people will start getting closer to their cap or even start to go over. I believe this is a game changer and service providers are gonna have to provide more bandwidth. We just have to complain when we hit the cap under normal use. And thats the kicker. You should not have werking netflix on your specific device as its not "officially" werking for the Vibrant (yet) so its still not normal use for us. Just don't tell them that i guess, lol. Tell them you have some other phone. Good luck!
I use handcent and the default app. I've set them both to delete messages after 4350 per thread is reached but neither of them actually do it. It results in breaking the stock app around 4600 messages. Any ideas?

I'm gonna be that guy and say you probably shouldn't try to save 4k+ texts per thread. Lower it to like, 500 or something. Problem solved.

I always thought 300 KB was the limit for text messages, but my friends been sending me pics over 300kb.. and also she sends me 2minute long videos... my sgs2 videos never convert down, how does she do it? I always get really clear pictures from her, but I can never send any like that... even if I try to forward a text she sends me, it says the file is too large to send.. so what gives?

As far as I know MMS size is network dependent. It was a few years back (say 2008). Could easily have changed since tho.
anyone else know what's up

I've heard people who would be using Dropbox from SGS III will be getting free 50GB dropbox storage.
Can anyone come out with some app showing dropbox tht we've logged in through Galaxy S3??? Something like that???

What's the purpose of this if one doesn't have truly unlimited data? If everywhere i go i need to stream crap, I'm going to max my data plan well before the month is out. I know wifi is different, but it still sounds like a pain in the ass. Am i missing something?

But the service will only be valid for a period of 24 months maximum

What does this have to do with streaming?
Do you know what dropbox is exactly?

Yeah, i have an account. I guess i was more or less thinking this was some sort of solution or compromise for not including an sd card slot. I should have said downloading, not streaming, my bad. I was probably just looking at it from the wrong angle.
Edit: I was probably more confused than I originally thought. I thought the S3 wasn't going to have an SD card slot. It's hell getting old...

Just had something funny happen, was using my edge when it gave me a notification about a new sharing mode in my messaging app. It now allows me to share up to 1GB of pictures and videos in my messaging app! Thats pretty AWESOME, but i wonder has anyone else gotten this same upgrade to messaging?
