Wow that's what I'm talking about sprint can you tell me everything that is included in the update
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
Sprint customer service--in the past 6 years anyway--has never let me down and never fails to impress me.
The only listed item is for calendar entries that were force closing when they were being edited. Beyond that we have no information that anything else was included. The issue seems to have been enough to warrant a maintenance release apparently.

If you are who you say you are, any reason why this isn't unlocked? I mean, for real. Think about it... The devs on xda pretty much decide shoot to which phones are purchased due to the customability and let me just say, after 100's of hours of deving on the EVO, I will not be happy if the 3d isn't rooted sooner than later..
Kick it in gear and get us the unlock update

What information do you have on the (what I presume would be an) OTA that will address the crypto-signed bootloader that HTC promised to "unlock" for us?
...and if not an OTA form will it be an RUU? If not that, then what? This is a MAJOR ISSUE to all of us here...if it is not addressed to our satisfaction I don't think it is an exaggeration to say that +95% of us WILL return our phones in 30 days.
In summation, how will this issue be address by HTC and/or Sprint?

I'd imagine the fact that hundreds of thousands of phones were already manufactured and packaged played into this...not to mention the corporate rigamarole involved in software development and then the politics involved in every department, subsidiary, manager and then the same at Sprint having to play their game...

And a simple ota would solve all that. I'm sticking with my original thoughts. Seriously, how many people follow myn or virus and decide to get phone they use because of what team synergy is working on? Trust me, 2 million hits on rl5 alone for myn. Tmartin and myself watched 150k hits in a couple days when we ported the first sense 3 to the EVO.... Before kingdom... Trust me...non devs get like phones of great devs and a simple ota to unlock it is an easy fix... Not to mention keep strong loyalty for future evos... And better yet, sell a lot more once it hits xda that its rootable.
Just a thought

I don't know....XDA is a rather renowned entity these days, especially in this business. i wouldn't be shocked to hear they devoted one $12 an hour lacky to keep an eye on it...though, I'd also be surprised if that lacky had the meaty information we actually want.
...then why send him here?
But then again, Sprint reps I've talked to are universally less useful than most people on here (excepting, of course, Sprint employees who work here--never met one)...
..but then again, that would further illustrate how out of touch they are...
...but then again that would be a fantastic trolling angle...

HTC to unlock BOOTLOADERZ!!1 (NSFW)

ohhai guyz! I just wanted to share that I THINK HTC is going to unlock the bootloadrz on our phones!!!!1
I got this email from someone from there customer support thing in response to my email asking them to pretty please unlock teh fon!
"Dear unlockthebootlloaders,
Yeah, you and all your little buddies have already emailed us about a hundred times about the god damned bootloader on the EVO 3D. And guess what, because YOU asked, where not going to do it anymore. We told you we where working on it didn't we?. Jesus, I know you all post these emails on the forums and **** so I know they all know, ok? So now we aren't, because you won't shut the **** up about it. So, you can go eat 1 metric ****ton of dicks. That's right, and tell all your little 1337 hax0rz buddies they can split a metric ****ton of dicks amongst themselves.
in fact, just for all the **** you keep asking and bugging us about, and flooding our Facebook wall with (thanks for that by the way, dickheads) we are going to turn on a special feature for everyone who emailed us. Now, whenever you answer a call, there is a 60% chance your phone will rape your ear hole. have fun with that, ****stick.
P.S. don't bother filling out the survey."
So...
....I think we are finally getting za bootloaders!
You're doing it wrong.
Uhm... what?

Megaupload Shut Down Due To Piracy

Yes, this is also in "Android General", but I figured it'd be worth a re-link here...
http://www.neowin.net/news/megaupload-charged-with-piracy-shut-down
Go, MultiUpload from now on in the Dev & Apps/Themes section from now on?
Absolutely REEKS of SOPA/PIPA (Also known as FASA, the First Amendment Sunset Act).
So why did congress say they needed SOPA now?
So they shut down a site who did nothing illegal, they just hosted illegal files that were uploaded by a third party.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I usually am, but wouldn't this be like shutting down Ford because drug couriers used Ford Mustangs to transport their cocaine?

Although it may seem like this was because of SOPA and PIPA, none have passed yet thus it can't do anything. yet.
Plus, a lot of the supporters don't care about piracy - they were sold out by corporations - so the bill isn't really aimed and piracy and won't stop piracy.
If you want some more (and probably the most informative) information on SOPA, head over to reddit.com/r/sopa.

Not exactly. A better comparison would be shutting down Ford because it was distributing drugs. The illegal files were contained/hosted on the website and being distributed by the website. Basically, megaupload had the files and was giving the illegal files to people.

This is what the DoJ had to say, it goes along the same line of what you say:
"By actively supporting the use of third-party linking sites to publicise infringing content, the conspirators did not need to publicise such content on the Megaupload site."
The owners are accused of:
"Copyright infringement, conspiracies to commit racketeering, copyright infringement and money laundering."
"Instead, the indictment alleges that the conspirators manipulated the perception of content available on their servers by not providing a public search function on the Megaupload site and by not including popular infringing content on the publicly available lists of top content downloaded by its users."

What I love about the whole SOPA and PIPA acts is that they only go after the sites that publish what they call "copyrighted material", but I've never seen any lawmaker or official of any kind in both sides of the table think about this:
In order for an unpublished album or movie (or whatever) to hit the web, the publishing has to come from with in. Most of the servers (to not say all) that host this type of information are offline (unless their System Administrators are dumb enough to give them freedom of access to the world...)
So my question is: Why is it that we never hear in the news about the people involved in steeling the media and publishing it? Why aren't there more strict measures against the employees who have access or close to that kind of media???
America has fallen captive of the lobbyists and Movie corporations and they plan to make our life controlled by their greed. Congress no longer remembers that as a Democracy they work for ALL of us, not a few.
Since this happen now there gonna say see we shoukd pass this bill i smell a setup on this bs

Not exactly. It would be more like shutting down a storage facility and arresting the owners of the storage facility because someone who rented or had access to a storage locker was storing illegal drugs inside. The only way Megaupload could police every file on their site would be to have access to every file AND violate the privacy of their customers by actively inspecting every file.

Its just general rules of the forum in the sticky above, not trying to be uptight, just keep XDA awesome:
6. Do not post warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, either pay or find your cracks and serials somewhere else. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained.

Thanks for posting the link. Like i said in the 1 post, I downloaded long time ago somewhere in this website and don't know where it is. Been using it with the Galaxy S2 and like it that's why i share
Off topic a bit: To be honest, i doubted if no one has never done installed/downloaded a paid app/music/movie for free. They come to the room and pretending "I'm a virgin" make me laugh
i think some people thought this was the city app that came with the phone, but its different, and is indeed free. probably should have just been posted in the apps section
its funny though in the app the developer says "help" he's being sued lol
I have no problem with it, I was just stating what warez is. I actually installed it myself and thank you for the link.
I also agree with the app stealing virgins.
Be real if you know enough to be able to flash roms and root your phone, you can't tell me you never downloaded an apk for free from a paid app.
Thanks again OP
