Need help with changing my messaging background to black. The part is where the speech bubbles sit on. Currently its a greyish color. Ive read you need to edit some XML's but im unsure which ones.
Can anyone help?

Anyone interested in modifying the framework-res.apk file in stock 1.1.0 to change the text and background colors from the gray text on white background to stock android configuration? The problem is that many apps have hard to read or ghost dialogs and settings boxes. I was thinking that we could use apktool to correct the colors repack and resign to resolve the issue.
Thoughts? Volunteers?

Yes, definitely. For some kind of app, black/dark gray text with black background, and some others white text with white/light background. I can't read anything. Terrible...

I'm trying to make a holo light theme. I changed most things, but the letters in the call log screen are in white, I've tried everything but still not working.
Does anyone know what I should modify to change the color?

Hey I'm running CM10.1 on my HTC One x. I was wondering how to remove the black shade ontop of the lockscreen background and just have your background clear and not darkened. I've been looking around framework-res and trying to edit stuff but had no luck, I have no experience in coding, just flashing custom roms and decompiling apks.
In CM7 there is an option to set an image as background for the lockscreen, check in the CM Settings, maybe you can do it.
Putting a custom image for your lockscreen doesn't remove the translucent black shade unfortunately.
Excuse me for reposting but I'm still wondering if anyone can help me with this, it seems like a pretty simple mod.
I am currently theming 'framework-res.apk', and I can't seem to change the text color in buttons (holo light) from black to white, though I have successfully changed them in action bars. I have tried several attempts like creating .xml files and linking them with 'Widget.Holo.Light.Button' from styles.xml (I am trying to change the text color in holo light theme), but no luck (holo light themed apps keep force closing).
