So now i can't turn on my phone... It always turns and turns but not fully, just to that step where writes samsung galaxy s II... :O what to doo!! ?? Only way is odin? and how? pls i need full explanation :/
Can you get into recovery or download mode?? Also show some respect for the devs work rather than calling it "****"

Did you make a Nandroid backup before flashing? (then just go into recovery and restore).
If not,
Go into download mode (volume down + home button + power button) and flash your stock rom with ODIN. Download your correct firmware here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
(there are also instructions on how to do it)
Do a factory reset and wipe your cache first before you do this (in recovery mode).
I can use only odin i think, cuz i can't turn on the phone so there is not any other possibility...:/
can i download listening room 6.1 and instal because that's only i found via odin.. exept that u said me here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 ?
I made only titanium backup... that doesnt help right?
Btw how can i know what is my karnel version ? i mean... last i instal was listening room 6.1 and i instal it just now bia odin... but phone still doesnt works... so? what to do? :O before litening room was dark knight and before knight was MIUI 2.3.7 v10 smth like that... and all those versions i instaled today...:O
Just use a stock rom first. I think a 3 parted with a pit file is the best way ;-)

You say that you can't turn on the phone? Even to download mode? (hold volume down + home, then press power and hold all three) If the phone doesn't come on at all, it sounds like you are screwed, and have to take the phone to a service center. Or get a jig. And I have doubts that a jig will work.
yes, it can to download mode, just i didnt know how it calles i meant it is odin nvm... what to do now? just if you start with explaining... give me full explanation so i can't mess up again

I'd grab one of the later stock ROMs from Intratech's thread here. That thread also has detailed instructions in the first post.
But first of all, how sure are you that you have a GT-I9100? Look under your battery at the label. What model number does that label say? You want to make sure you use a ROM intended for your model of phone. Otherwise you will end up right where you're starting now - with your phone not working.
If you have an I9100 device Go to the thread given to you in the previous posts and read the first few posts calmly and thoroughly till you understand it.
Odin will be your best bet.
Download mode on your device is power+home+volume down all pressed together until it's boots.
Read the info in intratechs thread that you were linked to its all there.

Why not ? sounds like his partition scheme got a little messed up ion the process, couldn't hurt to repartition.. I do it all the time, tried it accidentally the first time, it didin't even wipe the contents of my internal SD (probably because the same partition layout got flashed than the one that was on the device).
Nowadays I do it everytime I flash a stock rom that provides a .PIT file. I mean if it's packaged with the ROM, it's certainly not for nothing, they can't be that dumb at samsung..

Hey,
first question:
You are able to get in download mode? (volume down + home button + power button)
If yes, be cool
So when u are able, flash a stock Rom with "re-partition".
This means also that you must have a stock Rom with 3 files (or sometimes more), but not the one .tar file.
If you've done this, your phone should work normal.
Then try to root again with the right "cf-root" for the android version, you flashed.
Good luck!

Just out of curiosity: I always read, you should never select "re-partition".
Why do you suggest this here right now for a StockRom?
Thanks in advance.

What I have read it only works if pit file is available, but even then re-partition should not be used. And a one-file tar generally contains the same files (phone, modem, csc) as the three-file-combo.
That's why I'm so confused.
Im honestly glad you guys know what your talking about

The .pit file is only needed by three-file-combo.
Then you can check also the repartition.
If you have one file .tar, the .pit-file is senseless and never should check repartition.
Sure in one file you have nearly the same "files" like in three, but in three-file they can be written separatly on right partition.
Mates don't get me wrong but just accept it
I'm not a dev or scripter but but flashed a lot.
Never bricked my phone but often hanging in bootloop and so on.
And like you see the way with re-partition can help.
I Never flashed a stock Rom since I had my SGS II, but like I said I'm flashing a lot and I had the SGS before, too
Hope all question are answered.
If not pls ask devs for more info.
But that's the general things I can tell you

Wrong, you can use it with both single tarball archive or with the 3 component tarball. You don't need to repartition the device unless you need to change the partition layout for whatever reason or you've damaged your partition layout.

2) No you shouldn't use it by one file flash!

When i tried to do factory reset, it says it can't mount.
I've attached two pictures.

Have you tried to wipe the cache and whatnot? If so take a look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498421
What are you using to flash a rom?
Just a comment to you: this is not a hard brick. It is hard bricked if you cannot turn it on at all. This is a soft brick.

Maybe it is because i didnt understand it. i think so.
So i will be great if you just explain to me little bit easier and more wt i should do..

The problem on the other post was the same as yours. However he used rom manager to flash the rom which was the source of his problem as he told rom manager that he was using a different device to what he was using.
What version of odin are you using? Also just checking, when you flash, you are putting it in PDA and have all the things that need to be ticked/ unticked, ticked or unticked.
I think that you're problem is that you have lost your partition tables. So this is what you should do: odin3 rebuild partitions, with valid pit file and one package in PDA

ROM Manager is a app of market, past that I dont know much as it hard bricks my device the moment you grant it sudo permissions, but Cyanogenmod likes it as you can wirelessly "send" ROMS to your phone.
Ill see if i can get a 16G PIT
- Edit, only can find PITs for the 4.0 version 16GB, but I assums as the hardware stays the same (only size of solid state drive changes) it should work, good luck.
One package in PDA and yes, it is the firmware file, it contains boot, systemrfs, csc and modem perhaps- not to sure as its not a phone. but it has all you need.
so... ur telling me to use 4.0 PIT and 5.0 firmware? is that right?
and isnt rom manager a app in android device? how can u use that to flash a rom?

Im note sure about your first question but harry will know that. I would have thought that you would use 4.0 pit and 4.0 firmware, maybe harry thought you had a 5.0, I will check with him.
But yes you can flash a rom with rom manager however I would not recommend it as it is likely that it will brick your device. Check other people trying it on your 4.0 though, I wont use it because I do not fancy I hard brick. There are however many other applications that do the same but I would stick to odin if I were you. If you did decide to use a mobile rom flasher then I would say mobile odin would be your best choice but once again I have not used it myself.
If you choose to use rom mangager then check out this for a full explanation: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/koush/32771-faq-what-rom-manager-how-do-i-use.html

I would use pit for 5.0 8gb and firmware for 5.0, korean and see how it goes if you can't find the 16gb pit. This is because only the size of drive changes, no other hardware nor software. The kernel should be exactly the same. So I would not recommend using 4.0 pit otherwise you may brick or come into another problem. If the 8gb pit does not work then ask around on the forums for the 16gb pit, and if no one has it then give the 4.0 16gb pit a go.
Sorry I got a bit confused there, I was helping someone out who has a 4.0.
I would stay away from 4.0 stuff for your 5.0 if I were you

Hi all!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which I since a week cannot start. It get stuck on the black/white samsung logo. I cannot enter recovery mode, nothing happens when releasing the power button after pressing volumeup+home+power buttons. I can however reach download mode. I'm not sure what caused this problem, one day I just couldn't start it. I read on forums that many similar problems seem to have occurred when upgrading android but I'm not sure this is the case here (unless the phone made an automatic update while I was asleep). I'm not sure what version of android I'm running, but I'm pretty sure it is at least the ICS.
I would like to hard reset my phone if possible. It seems to be easiest through the recovery mode which I cannot get into.. I read things about Odin, connecting the phone to the computer and downloading android to the phone but haven't quite grasped it. Could anyone explain this option for me or point me in the right direction? Are there other options?
I would appreciate any help, especially since my 1-year warranty expired a month ago!
Best regards,
Marcus

Sounds like the symptoms of a NAND RW corruption. Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
Hi Marcus,
I had the same problem few days back.
If it's not broken by you trying something fancy, the best solution is to take it to service centre. If you have rooted your device, had installed some custom firmware or are not willing to visit the service centre for some other reason, please read ahead.
All I did was,
Installed USB connectivity drivers through Kies.
Installed ODIN 1.83
Ensured that Kies or any of its processes are not running in background.
Downloaded the official SGS2 firmware
Flashed the firmware through ODIN.
It took around 10 minutes for the full process and I was having my mobile up and running. Using ODIN sounds scary initially if you haven't used it. I have slowly started gaining confidence in it after using it a few times.
Please note that though the process is well proven to be safe, there is still an amount of risk involved.

Download a siyah kernel(like v4.0.1) .tar file and flash through odin.
See if that makes it boot/lets you into recovery.

A couple of things..ensure KIES is not running on your computer in the background. If possible delete it completely. Also ensure your phone is connected to a USB port directly on the computer and not via a hub or to a USB port on a keyboard or something. Odin is a finicky s/w..so..
Also, try different versions. If v1.85 doesn't work try v3.4

Lol at underlining. if you flash a custom kernel like siyah, you'll be rooted and get CWM. Using that you can install a custom ROM.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
And youll be safe from the 4.0.4 brickbug if you flash siyah.
You flash a kernel for various reasons like it has emmc cap disabled, you can tweak it etc.
You can flash siyah kernel and stop there.Or you can move onto a custom rom.
Whatever, when its done-backup your efs and make a nand backup.
And yesterday I was downgrading my wifes phone onto 4.0.3.I was using odin and kept getting "failed".After 3 attempts I realised I hadnt put the phone into download mode..........how stupids that......lol
hi there, just wondering, after Flashing the stock firmware through ODIN, do you lose everything in your phone? i need to get all the notes that I have in my phone (notes from the samsung stock apps). I dont have any external sd card in the phone. thanks in advance for the reply.

I had a similar problem, stuck at boot with Biftor v12, which happened after I tried to update SuperSU binary through CWM/TWRP. I don't know why it stuck at boot and why it wouldn't reboot to Recovery. Download mode was still working, so I had no choice but to flash new kernel through ODIN and see if it works.
So if your symptoms sound similar to mine, here's what I did to be able to boot again:
I REPEAT, SIMILAR TO MINE. MY SOLUTION MIGHT NOT NECESSARILY APPLY TO YOURS.
1. Download a suitable kernel in tar.md5 format. I used PhilZ-cwm6 v4.93.6 for XWLSN firmware (see OP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877270)
2. Download ODIN, if you don't have it, found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
3. Once installed, boot your phone in Download mode by pressing Vol Down+Home+Power together until you see a warning dialog. Press Vol UP to get into download mode.
4. Make sure ODIN is running, and NO KIES processes are running.
5. Connect your phone with USB cable to your PC.
6. In ODIN, you should see a COM port with yellow background.
7. Click the PDA button ONLY.
8. Select the kernel file you downloaded.
9. Press Start and nothing else.
10. If everything went as expected, your phone should reboot after a while with a working Recovery.
Only do the steps if you are absolutely sure. This worked for me, and I hope it gives some tips for your problem as well.

Hi Flash-IS-Bright
I have the exact same problem with SuperSU on my rooted Galaxy S2. I updated the SuperSU app, and when I opened it, it recommended me to update the binary, I selected the CWM/TWRP option and then my phone tried to reboot but is now stuck. It can only access download mode.
In doing the process above, you only flashed the kernel? Did this totally work? And all your apps/messages were left intact on your phone?
Any help is appreciated.

when ur updating the binary u should always choose the 'Normal' thing instead of the 'CWM/TWRP' one ma8
if u flash a kernel it will not delete anything on ur phone, all u have to do is to select the right kernel like 'Philz' for example (if ur on a stock JB firmware) and flash the same through 'ODIN' and reboot ur phone

Thanks for your help. I've originally had Jeboo 1.2 kernel on my phone and tried to reflash that again through Odin. It passed, however I'm still encountering the same problem of the bootloop.
Would flashing a different kernel help? I'm on stock JB firmware but with a Jeboo kernel. I am happy to try another kernel (if that would not brick my phone)
Do you have any other suggestions to help me solve this?
Again thanks for your help

You could try flashing hawkerpaul's kernel wiper first and then install another stock kernel like PhilZ or Apollo, and see if that helps.
Neat Rom lite, suddenly struck in boot loop after 1 month of operation.
Dear All,
I have installed the "I9100XWLSZ_NeatROM_Lite_v5.0.1" custom rom and after 1 month of successful usage, today suddenly the phone was dead.(probably due to autoupdates over wifi) . I tried to reboot, but didnt. Tried to restart but got stuck in the logo screen with yellow triangle.
Tried to enter recovery mode, but no use. Only download mode is possible.
Tried to flash the stock rom using odin, but no use, Nand write failed.
Can somebody help me how to come out of this situation. Shall I install a different kernal and see?
Regards,
Maka11

Try reflashing the original rom through ODIN first, probably best..

try http://www.hotfile.com/dl/177306141/248b29e/I9300XXDLJ4_I9300OXADLJ4_BTU.zip.html
its unbranded and the latest uk one but should have your language.
thanks, hope that will work (no more rooting for me ) but will the region codes will be alright?
Yes, you can check after you've started the phone - use CSC Selector from the Play Store.
alright, well ill let u know how im doing when the download completes...
I've had the same thing happen to me too, although my phone won't switch on , it gets tot he galaxy s III white screen and then just stops on a black screen, makes a noise and thats it, just stays black with the blue charging light on.
I can connect it to the computer and it is rooted with CWM installed.
Would love to save the data if poss but i'm guessing that i may have to wipe it.
can you get into download mode?
if so, just flash the stock rom through ODIN as above.

herez another thread you should read.
and if youre gonna perform stock firmware flashing. try to flash what you had before to be safe with coroupted IMEI and EFS problems.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/fix-s3-to-factory-unroot-stock-recovery-t2323847
in this guide, you may directly start with 4th step.
and use ODIN 1.85 and make sure device drivers gets installed in download mode. to do that, install latest kies (depending on if you were on 4.1.2 or 4.3) but make sure kies isn't running when you use ODIN. hope this helps.

cant you get into stock recovery? as samsung logo boots up, its probably you can and try to perform a reset from there. is you can get in, your android version will be there. if you can post a pic here.
oh and in case, press vol up + home + power button and keep pressing untill you see samsung logo appars 2 times to get into the recovery.
Download stock rom and flash it using odin then go into recovery mod by pressing volume up+home +power key and do factory data reset and wipe cache and then reboot
