Ever since I got my x2 some pics have odd colors mainly brown on them in blotchy spots. Not pics the camera takes but pics from say facebook. Anyone else have this? Is there a fix?

Gimme a min and ill screen shot one.
Here is a pic it does it in. Not sure of it is just an incompatible resolution or what. Doesn't do it with all photos. This pic is fine in the computer though
Mainly thought the spots show up in pics of people. I know...its kinda weird

Looks like pixilation due to low Res
But I see that same type of blurriness when watching movies on Netflix . especially action movies

Thats what I was thinking. I think all she has is a very low end samsung so its probably 1.3MP or something
Yea I would try to look at another picture on the web with a higher res and see if it does the same thing.

Will the camera improve once we get the official 2.3.4 update?
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Does your camera have a PROBLEM or is it just unsatisfactory?
The upgrade you're talking about hasn't improved camera quality. Some say it's worse, with a few minor improvements... but it's difficult to judge. What I'm confident about though is that it probably isn't going to dazzle anyone judging from the preliminary feedback. No one is ranting and raving about it unfortunately.
Agree, the camera does not produce very good pictures, mine are not focused, blury, dull etc., have not complained since it is not on top of my list but would be very happy if it could be improved, as it is at the moment not much use for taking acceptable pictures.
lol, NO ONE knows how much it will improve the camera or not, only Motorola does im sure, or testers. we have topics covering this. i have posted a topic about it with many pictures. we wont know how much the camera will be improved until the "real" release (OTA). the hongkong or whatever one isnt the official release. the people thinking the camera in that one is what it will look like in the OTA need to think again. There is a app called Camera 360 you should download and try, if you like it buy it. it improves the quality/color alot. if you put it on enhance or HDR mode.
The issue i have is the flash in the stock at, it doesnt capture at the right moment lol. with focus it think it does very well. also make you wipe it off well, it gets dirty easy i have noticed. when HTC releases the mytouch 4gslide i will most likely go to it cause its supposed to have a great camera, etc. as well as nokias N9 that looks great.
My pictures are just fine. This isn't an slr or even a point-n-shoot. It's a camera phone with a lens 3/16th of an inch in diameter.
First thing anyone should do with any phone is clean the lens before taking pictures. Grease and dirt from your hands will make pictures appear to be dull, out of focus, and blurry. My phone takes decent pictures. Could it be better? Yes. Is it good enough? Also a yes for a phone camera.

I wanted to say this, but my post count isn't high enough. I ASSUMED that people would know this. And oddly, I didn't have as much of an issue with needing to make sure the lens is clean on my last phone as I do with the Atrix. I wonder if it's because my last phone had the lens in the middle and the Atrix lens is at the edge?

I think the camera is much better than my iPhone. I can understand everyones complaints but after dragging the pictures to my comp they are much my h better to view. Also the video is awesome, not so my h when watching on the phone itself but after transfer to comp its amazing. Stop *****ing about all these little things and just go buy a different phone and stop sh**ing up the Attic forum.
using additional programs like Vigette dose not make photos better?

I came to the Atrix from an iPhone 4. Generally, I love Android and everything about my Atrix, to the point where I even bought the hyper-expensive webtop thing (with the debian mod, of course). But the camera being better than the iPhone? I would say you're seeing through rose-colored glasses, but given how the Atrix takes pictures, tulip-colored glasses may be more appropriate.
Don't know what all the qq is about. I just shot 300 pictures of a vacation. Only a few bad apples.
I don't know why but all of a sudden my screen resolution has gone down.
Everything have a lesser quality to it.
I've read in a topic that you need to Reflash or so a Hard reset... I've change a ROM and it look the same.
Did you installed a screen protector? lol i know this sounds dumb but anyways needed to be asked
I've ZAGG InvisibleShield, but I've placed him before this problem has happened.
The most notable thing I've notice about the screen quality dropping was me being able to see those Transverse lines across me screen when ever I look in black things and in some other colors and parts of my phone.
someone told me something about being able to up grading the screen to 24bit
By any chance can you take an actual photo AND a screen shot of the display ?

That's not resolution, that's colour depth where you end up with banding. Have you installed a new rom, or an update for a rom lately?
Read this and you'll have some more knowledge on the situation:

Sorry for the double post but can someone tell my how can I chane my screen from 16 to 24 bits.
Nothing help with this problem and this is the only think I didn't try doing.
Maybe you can't see a different from an ordinary SGS2 screen, but when I look at the alarm clock notes and a lot of other screen I can clearly see vertical lines when going from one color tune to a more darker one.
Hahahahaha. Dude, everyone with an SGS2 hates the fact that everything is 16 bit. The whole firmware needs to have rewritten drivers for us to get more than 16 bits! It's impossible as of yet.
So I bought the ffc and installed it but I'm getting multi colored lines across the screen for the back camera and the front is way fuzzy. Any tips/ideas for this? I'm running passion v11, let me know, thanks!
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Lol, yeah you got a 1st generation camera and that's going to happen with the lines unless you get a gen 2 camera. As far as the fuzziness, I'm gonna guess you didn't focus the super tiny ring on the outside of it? Not laughing at you, just the sutuation.
Dam you gotta be kidding. So I'm screwed here or what?

The lines should only occur in dark settings. I have a rev 1 from awhile ago I'm OK with it. Not like i Skype in the dark.

Well the lines only seam to occur in the viewfinder. When I take the picture, they're either gone or nearly completely invisible. So for 20 bucks this turned out to be a good deal
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
Yeah the lines are harder to see in the actual picture but it can be annoying when taking pictures in darker settings. As for the focus on the front cam, it's a little hard cause you need to have the camera plugged in to see when it is actually in focus. I just used some tweesers and angled the camera towards me a little so I could still see on the screen what the cam was pointing at and focused it that way. It's still a good setup for the average user, so $20 isn't a loss.

Could be due to high resolution. Most of the apps images are build for standard resolution.
Lack of high res apps might be one of the reasons but yeah the phone has 720p screen and 16m colors !

true...but if the resolution of the image isn't there, it's not there notice the pixelation as well on those examples? They just don't scale well...
Exactly, as well as some apps are just not written for this screen resolution

It's not an issue in the phone. It's an issue in the app using a low-quality image.
Your 2 year old desire does not have a high enough resolution or color depth to show this, but if it did, you would see the same thing.

I'm actually more concerned with why my screen looks so different from kdadone's. Same phone and same application.. His pic looks at least much more acceptable than mine.
Does using the root image from development section affect anything in terms of 'display driver' that renders the screen?

I have exactly the same as you have. I think his is the same as well, just resized to a smaller version. Think the resize smooths it out a bit.

I've had my note for about two months. I came from the one x. One thing i don't like about the note is the grain and noise on dark pictures and video. Guess its just due to the amolded screen. I know being under good light will fix the ones you take but anything I can do to sharpen the image on videos and pics I'm browsing?

Are you referring to recorded videos only? Make sure to change the setting for video to 1080p because I'm pretty sure it's set to 720p by default. Hope that helps.
