Is there a rom that works well together for the galaxy s2 and galaxy tab?
Has anyone made one for both that integrates good?
Cheers guys
Bump anyone ?
The SGS2 is on 2.3.X and Tab on HC so mechanically there can't be a common ROM. I have a SGS2 and haven't seen any matching themes. Even the wallpaper from my SGS2 looks like crap on the higher res screen of the Tab. So the short answer is no, there's no common ROMs or themes the two can share.

I've just gotten hold of one of these to use in the car as a media/sat nav gadget !
I was wondering if any techies might know if it was closer to an S1 or S2?
It has only come with android 2.2 but so far it seems pretty much as quick as my s2 but it would be good to get a newer rom on it
Any S2 devs going to get one? Hint hint!
Anyone? There doesn't seem to be much info on this android device at all yet its a pretty sweet mini tablet/media player!
It's basically samsungs answer to the ipod touch
Closer to the Galaxy S I since it has the same 1ghz processor. http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdamaster&posted=1&cpu=a10010
Gday friends,
Ive just bought a 10.1 as i dropped my 10.1v and it now has a line down the middle needless to say this is unacceptable so i bought the new one.
So im after advice as to which rom you would recommend for my 10.1 3g.
I was looking at Tasks rom but its only wifi which is a shame.
I gather i am unable to run a 10.1v rom on my tab?
any suggestion would be welcomed.
Thanks
Overcome rom
seems like the only option at this stage.
Overcome rom
We shall overcome Rom
As I am very close to rooting/ROMing, what are the main differences between Task and Overcome?
I've read the feature lists, but honestly, it all just blurs together and my eyes gloss over. (I've done so much reading on both 10.1 ROMs and Epic 4G Touch ROMs that my brain has melted down.)
Thanks for input.
t-mobile
Hey everyone,
I have a t-mobile galaxy tab 10.1 Model SGH-t859. Anyone know if the overcome rom will work with it?
It's listed for the p75xx but I'm not sure if I can run that on my device.

Hi guys:
I want to get a Galaxy S2 from Rogers, and I was wondering if I can flash the stock stock stock ICS rom onto the GS2 (I'm not a fan of the touchwiz)
Thanks
Bill
No you can't because the Rogers Galaxy SII is a different phone that uses a different chipset, making it incompatible with the ICS rom.
Even if you got the Bell one, which is the international variant, there are no fully functional stock ICS roms yet. If it's what you want, get yourself a Galaxy Nexus.
Sorry I should I have made it a bit clear, what I meant is, can I flash the phone with a stock version of the android operating system? since I'm not a fan of the touchwiz, nor am I a fan of the Rogers apps that they install on the phone.
(Or can I turn off TouchWiz?)
Thanks!
Instead of TouchWiz launcher, you can find other launchers in Google Play (Market). I've used ADW laucher ex (small cost) and Go Launcher (free) with great success.
I really don't care for TouchWiz either. Limited number of icons in the launch bar across the bottom and it doesn't handle my custom lcd density.
I'm running the Roger's branded Samsung Galaxy SII LTE (sgh-i727r).
I realize this question was posted a while ago but hopefully my response is of some assistance.
Good luck.

FYI, you should probably be looking for help/information/firmware/etc in the SGH-I727 forum, not the GT-I9100 forum... I know the forum title actually says "AT&T Skyrocket", but it's the same phone, (SGH-I727) really...
I'm not the OP, just replying since I have the device the OP was considering.
You are right however, that most of the content related to Galaxy SII Skyrocket (sgh-i727) applies to the Rogers branded Galaxy SII device.

I thought it worth mentioning, since you are a new member, (only 2 posts at the time of this writing) and I've seen many many MANY users of other Galaxy SII variants screw themselves over by flashing I9100 firmwares or kernels.
Hey I need a little insight you those of you who have knowledge on the Galaxy tab 10.1 or 8.9 wifi or HP touchpad ICS ROM. I've been doing some reading and from the looks of it, it seems there are many more problems with the ICS ROM's for the Galaxy Tab than the HP touchpad. I have a touchpad w/ ICS and it's Awesome, no real issues other than the camera but that's minor.I wanna get the Galaxy Tab because it's different and I believe the hardware is better, but I'm a bit discouraged because all the issues I've read with the current ICS ROM's.
What do you guys think? Touchpad or Galaxy Tab 10.1 or 8.9?

What issues are you talking about? I've not got ICS on my Galaxy Tab but from what I've read there's only the camera not working, which seems to be a universal issue for knife-and-forked ROMs. I'm actually considering flashing it this afternoon, even though I'm VERY happy with it running the latest stock HC.

I've read some people having wifi, rotation, and calendar syncing issues amongst other things with their G-Tab. Just search the Cyanogen 9 ICS thread and you'll see for yourself. To me it doesn't seem as polished as CM9 for the Touchpad. If you decide to give it a try let me know how it goes.
i thinks galaxy tab is a best choose!android more and good apps
Hi guys. Sorry if this has been answered before. I searched with no results.
Im curious to know if the new Jelly Bean update for our Samsung Galaxy S2 will have the latest TouchWiz 5 Interface in it. For those who are not familiar with this Touchwiz 5 word, well, to make it more simple to you, will the new Jelly Bean update for the S2 have the interface like the one is Samsung Galaxy S3.
Ive seen a lot of the new low/mid-end phones made by Samsung are being made with TouchWiz 5, so I thought this has not to do with hardware as it has to do with software, so Im sure our S2 is good enough to handle TouchWiz 5.
If someone of you have any information, i'd be happy to know.
Thanks.
