i have x10 mini pro and by mistake equid rom gingerxperia v8 from that time i turn on my mobile phone and it stucks where it says "sony ericsson"(welcome screen)I log on x-recovery but its corrupted and i use my cell phone. Thanks for listening hope you give me a solution.
Hmm. It could be that you need to reflash the phone. Thankfully this is fairly straightforward on our device. You just need Sony Ericsson Update Service, otherwise known as SEUS. Download it from the SE website, along with PC Companion if you don't already have the phone's drivers on your computer, run it...wait a few minutes...and your phone's been reset.
You will lose all your data on the phone, apart from anything on the SD card, but there's no way round that. I'm assuming you backed up before you tried the ROM..?

I have managed to brick my X10 mini pro by trying to instal CWM Recovery, and now am stuck at SE logo screen.
So far i've tried:
1. Seus - it says my x10 mini pro is up to date and no update available
2. PC Companion - i tried the repair option, but in the end it doesn't let me repair
3. FlashTool - tryed flashing original kernel, new kernel, 1.6android kernel.... and after flashing it keeps getting me to reboot it, and activate debugging mode, which i can't because i'm still stuck at SE logo screen
4. Omnius - payed for a 1 day licence. I can flash it, but still nothing happens. I can't flash read my SE, and can't find any repair option in it...
Is there anything that can whipe it clean, and put the original stuff back again? Or any other solution?
P.S. I can't turn of the screen, not even with home+backbutton+power, only if i get the battery out.
I never thought the repair option in PC Companion wouldn't work if i ever bricked my phone, but ... as I can see for myself it doesn't .
Thank you in advance... hope to get it running, even if it costs me some money
And once again seus ! But remeber seus is not pc companion
Hey there,
If you take out your battery for over a minute and then put it back in, it should stop trying to boot up.
Also, when u connect your phone to the computer while keeping the back button pressed, SEUS should be able to install stock software/firmware regardless of it's opinion that u already have the latest.
This thread is very detailed about unbricking your phone too --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040149 (helped me lots before as well)
and you might also wanna install the file added to this thread's openingspost --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030902
Goodluck with your phone
Hello,
I do not wish to annoy anyone. I seek some help. Before posting and mostly before doing anything with my phone I read all information I could find.
Unlocking bootloader (hardware and official way), rooting, the autoinstaller for CWM. The flashtool, the wotan server, SEUS.
Yesterday I've upgraded my firmware via PC Companion to .62. However this unrooted my phone and I wanted to go back to the old firmware so
I flashed it with WotanServer
After this my phone didnt start and after the SE logo a sign with excalmation mark and phone appeared.
Please, help me. Tell me what should be my next step. Can i fix it myself? Should i pay to someone in the local shop with neon advertisment to fix it?
Please.
Anton.
Download SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Software), and repair your phone with it.
I got same problem with WotanServer, SEUS solved it.
@tomassz82,
can you point me to a working link. All links that I have for SEUS redirect me to a sony support page?
I also forgot to mention that I have done a backup via CWM but I don't know how to restore it as I can't go into CWM anymore.
Ok. Fixed. Thank you tomassz82 for the hope
For future reference: SEUS is an outdated piece of software.
Sony Ericcson PC Companion is its successor.
Intially PC companion fails to recognize the device because it's not turned on completely (by completely i mean booted to the Android).
I restarted my computer. When I connect the phone and start PC Companion somehow, seemingly at random it still doesn't allow to update but it will recognize it once or twice and offer repair. Do it!
Wipe personal settings bla bla..
I could not manage to repair the phone with PCC, but SEUS worked like a charm.
@tomassz82
Which verions of SEUS are you running and where did you downloaded from?
Gentlemen, I couldn't find a section for Xperia Pro, please excuse me if this is misplaced.
I rooted my MK16i from ICS 4.0. according to a guide here on XDA forum, with no problems (from 4.1.a.435 .. i think).*
Then I installed system tuner and backed up the bloatware and what I believed was obviously named as packages that support them. Things were working great and the phone gained some performance improvements.
UNTIL, I installed Viber and Skype, and niether were working. I thought I would fix it by restoring all the backed up services and apps. Once I did that and rebooted the phone, it became useless
THe phone keeps rebooting. I get to the XPERIA loading screen and then it restarts again
I tried to connect it to the PC to flash another ROM with the Flashtool, but it is not recognized. All I get is in the computer screen a removable disk drive, that is not accessible.
Note: I didnt update the firmware after I rooted.
Can anybody help?
have you worked with flashtool before ? because there hardly could be any wrong with flashtool. use the latest version with proper drivers.
and since you have rooted phone, have you unlocked your bootloader ? if yes, then flash any custom kernel, go to CWM, then place rom zip on sdcard and stright flash rom via CWM.
flashtool should work though. you can try on different computer.
If flashing a kernel or installing custom ROM sounds a bit out-of-reach, you can always go for the repair option in PC Companion. It worked for me when I had soft-bricked my Neo V (it wouldn't go past the SONY logo). However, be advised that this repair option will erase your phone's internal memory. Also, your phone will be brought on the latest stock ROM, so you will need to root your phone again.
Good Luck!!! :good:

I tried to do somethingn like this but sony companion itself cannot detect the phone either.
My question is, is there a brick that cannot be fixed? I took it to a shop today and still they cannot fix it.
Have you tried to use sony update service?
How are you connecting your phone to flashtool?
Can you show us log from flashtool?
New development:
Now I tried to flash the phone with flashtool 32bit rather than 64-bit and it detected the phone! I could even flash the only firmware in Aeonworld's post Here.
Now I can see the phone connected in my computer.
However, the phone still won't boot but when I power on it gives black screen and after a short while, the led on the side becomes green.
For some reason though, I cannot continue with the rooting steps in his guide.
So anyways, after the second reboot, not the first for some reason, the phone gets detected in PC Companion, and I installed the update and now it is working again :victory:
Thank you all for your support.

Good to hear that bro!!! R&D always makes a man better
I have been trying to reinstall the OS on X10 using the Sony PC comp and also tried with the Sony Update service but get stuck at the same stage in both.
Everything goes ok till downloading the files from the internet i.e preparatory stage. It then tells me to remove and turn off the phone and reattach while continuously pressing the back key (IMAGE 01). It says to select USB connected and mount the SD card. I am following the instructions to the T but nothing forward happens. I have repeated it over 50 times but no reward. It just does not go into the next stage of installation even after waiting 30-45 mins but sends out an error (Image 2)
I thought maybe xrecovery, OS Monitor, superuser, Antivirus might be interfering so I removed them too. Has rooting got anything to do with it?
Searched Google and here but did not find anyone who has encountered like this.
Any suggestions or solutions would be highly appreciated.

Try the flashtool instead. [GUIDE] All Things XPERIA - Debranding - Rooting & More...
Thanks dude but that's a lot of reading and understanding...wud visit the SE service center.
I rooted my sony z2 phone with king root and then replaced it with supersu apk
they told me to reboot my sony and after rebooting my phone turns on but it stays on the flashing colours for ages! They told me to try the pc companion repair thing but it wont even connect. its been on the colour thing for like an hour
and am willing to not lose my data
Any help please
download and install Flashtool for Xperia, go to the Drivers folder under C: Program files/Flashtool/drivers , then download Z2 5.0.2 FTF and connect your phone to flashtool, and flash it
However, you might have to lose your data, since the phone's internal memory IS wiped during this process.
If your data is on the external SD card, then you are perfectly safe, just make sure to remove it before flashing anything.
