There are quite a few actually. I have one myself, and I was able to install many new ROMs. What you can do is going to sammobile.com
There, in the firmware section, you can install one of the new ROM versions (there were releases up to december, last time I checked).
If you need further assistance, kindly let me know.

Hey,
Here's the link : http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9100G&r=2#regiona
There you can select the Malaysian firmware for instance (since it's the latest amongst)
But first find your own firmware (the KI1) and save it on your laptop just in case you needed to fallback.
As for the procedure of flashing it's very simple, it has been listed by so many users on the forum here.
What I usually follow is this one:
###Downloads###
1- Install Samsung Kies from samsung.com
2- download the package from sammobile (it will mostly redirect you to hotfile.com, and you will have to download a (340MB ZIP)
3- Download Odin3 V1.83, it is the most appropriate with the GT-I9100G
####INSTALLATIONS#####
1- Install Samsung Kies [Needed later by ODIN for driver use]
2- Once Kies is installed and is able to run, close it and kill all the KIES processes in the Windows TASK Manager.
3- Make a directory in the C:\tmp for your update [name it without spaces]
4- Place the firmware pkg and Odin pkg there
5- Extract the firmware ZIP and the Odin ZIP
6- Take down the GS2 to download mode [syncro: POwer + Home + Vol_down]
7- start Odin
8- Connect the GS2 to the USB [if you're on a PC, use the back USBs]
9- Odin will identify its recognition of the GS2 with a yellow marker saying [ID:COMX]
10- Make sure you check only the AutoReboot and the F.Reset Time [NOTHING ELSE]
11- Click on PDA and go to your unzipped firmware directory [where you will have a .tar.md5 file] and select that file
12- Press on start in Odin
13- Odin should do the flash
14- The Phone will reboot if all is successful
15- Voila, you're done ))
this one is old stock rom 2.3.6 , update way back on September '11.

Hey guys,
since I was experiencing random freezes/reboots on NDTs MIUI releases (v8-v15) and siyahs kernels (v2.0-2.6.11) as well on some ICS ports, i decided to try a stock rom to see if the problems remain.
now i downloaded stock roms from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
and tried to flash them via odin. but it simply does not work. i always get the same error message (see screenshot). also i have tried several roms, none of them worked.
i can still enter the download mode, but when i turn on the phone normally it says that there has been a problem with the firmware and tells me to try recovery via kies. kies however does not recognize the phone ...
You got an ICS bootloader still ??
#
What are you flashing to the phone looks the same file as PDA .
jje
Are you using a stock usb cable?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Hey,
1: Check if download is correct! (at least check file size)
2: U have installed/updated latest Kies?
3: Check if u choosed the right files on right place (we can't see the file name u chossed in each line.
If u checked and all is fine, download the firmware from f.ex. sammobilde.com to be sure.
CHEERS
I agree with JJEgan. Please do the following so we can see what file(s) you are loading in Odin:
1. Click 'PDA' and load file
2. Click 'PHONE' and load file
3. Put the cursor in the read only edit box to the right of the 'PDA' button (the one showing the path and the file name) and press end key
4. Same as 3. but with 'PHONE' button edit box
3. and 4. will help us to see the entire file name, maybe we could help then.
Met with the same problem. Mine was solved as follow
Tried a different usb port and kept on flashing. Each time it failed rebooted again in to download mode, reset odin, select the tar file again and kept on flashing. It kept showing fail at cache, the recovery.img etc. But dont worry mine wnt through finally. Hope this helps some one
kind of workaround - odin failed message (S5 mini)
I had some problems with my camera in Galaxy S5 mini 800F 5.1.1 and i flashed official trough odin. Got failed message. :crying:
I tried to flash different official ROMs, different USB ports, different cables... Nothing. :crying:
Then i just flashed a custom kernel with odin.. OK. i got the startup screen and old off. recovery. Not wery usefull.
Then i flashed another kernel from CM13, got new recovery. (TWRP 3.0.0 recovery image )
PC recognised the phone and SD card, but no ROM and gapps on it.
Took another phone, copied ROM and gapps on SD, switched SD, followed the instructions and now i have a working S5 mini with 6.0.1 CM 13 :highfive:
The device was already out of warranty.
Took me some hours and a lot of nerves to achieve this.
I hope this helps someone
O, and, i'm using WIN 10, no KIES, didn't bother with samsung drivers.
Hi All,
I am new and this is my first post,
I am from Egypt and i received update on Kies for the new ICS version 4.0.4 and i after installation i have the attached on my screen and can not remove. Also my SII is misbehaving and restarts on his own.
Note: i am using the official updates.
Also attached screen shot about the phone.
Please support, and Thank you All
M. Fawzy
Flashed official 4.0.4 many times and never had problem like this. I do suggest you:
1. Install custom kernel via stock recovery
2. Backup android apps.
3. do factory/data reset in custom recovery mode (power button+menu+volume up)
3. Download official 4.0.4 firmware from sammobile.com
4. Flash it via usb cable , using ODIN application.
more details for custom kernels, odin flash instruction, use search xda forum in general, development sections. More info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Theres tons of posts about this.Search about creating a file called "keystr".

I know this topic . But Samsung has new security on new Stock Firmware updates. All users have new updates said that .
Please explain it ,
I have downloaded old stock rom on sammobiles. But How to flash it ?
as a normal flashing ? without root ?
Sorry I am a beginnger user for this.
Dear friend,
Install USB Drivers or install Samsung Kies . kies will install the necessary drivers automatically.
1. First be sure USB Debugging is checked in ur device ( Settings/Developer Options/USB Debugging )
2. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
3. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
4. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Volume Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release Power Button but keep others pressed. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading ..VOL UP TO CONTINUE...
5. Now connect USB to PC ,you should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
6. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.( stock ROM file)
7. Dont check any other option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default).
8. Now click Start.
9. When it's finished, it should say that "Res OK" or "PASS"in Odin.
10. Now the phone will restart and you will have the stock firmware as per your requirements.
You don't need root to flash ROM thru Odin.
If you want to root search for framaroot.apk in XDA .

Try ur self n report here. If u free from ur carrier/network n SIM, I think then u succeed.
FAIL (AUTH)
For ppl who try flashing your device with new released firmware and got a message say "FAIL (AUTH)" in your odin,.. it is means you downloaded the wrong firmware region and that firmware is not compatible with your device..
You can try download another firmware region and re-try flash you device,..
My device is SM-G530H made in vietnam, i bough this phone on my country indonesian,..
The firmware worked for my device is kazakhstan region (i flashed it on early Feb and worked well) and also indonesian region (i flashed it on early March and worked well also)
Hope this helps
So i've had a Galaxy S3 before and rooted it with a dude online but can't quite remember what we did. I don't want that i somehow brick it or do something as dumb as this again > reddit.com/r/cyanogenmod/comments/3ya7zf/locked_myself_out_of_the_phone/ < so i'd like to ask people of the interwebz for some help.
What i thought to do is:
1. Download ODIN
2. Download cyanogenmod 13 rom file
3. Download tar file for my new Galaxy S3
4. Reboot my phone and press Volume Down+Home Button+Power button to get into Downloading Mode
5. On ODIN put the .tar file in the PDA field and press yes/confirm
6. After is says PASS the phone will reboot and the phone will be rooted
7. Install TWRP
8. Go into Safe Mode[Volume Up+Home button+Power button](or w/e its called on phones/android) and make a backup of my OS
9. Install cyanogenmod 13 rom but before doing that delete the dalvin and cache.
10. Cyanogen mod will be installed and no i'm ready to use my OS
Is that what i'm supposed to do? Now, i'm not sure which .tar file and cyanogenmod rom to download because idk what version the S3 is.
This is what the settings say puu.sh/o6ldO/8e1e024942.png Which means i'm using the International version of S3 aka I9300? Meaning my download file can be found here download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9300 ?
Now, from where do you get the .tar file? I'd rather ask people who know what they're doing VS me randomly googling the .tar file so i hope some nice peeps who are newb friend come by.
EXTRA: But lets say that i do brick it, is there a way to somehow unbrick it? I was reading about reinstalling the factory system by downloading rom file or something?
@GamerzH: You have international version. Use cfAutoroot for rooting. Download last firmware (probably the one, which is installed now) from sammobile.com for the unbrick-case. Dare.

Thanks in case of bricking.
And about rooting with cfAutoroot i think its impossible, i'm on 4.3 and cfAutoroot talks about 4.1.2 fw.
@GamerzH: I used cf to root on 4.3
