Just installed TiBu on my razr, it did not show in the app menu so I restarted the phone. When phone was booting it got stuck in a boot loop and after soft resetting phone by holding power and volume down it shuts off and then restarts the process and loops again.
Soft reset / factory reset failed to solve the problem multiple times. Ended up taking the phone back and getting a new one. I am scared to re root and install tibu since it was right after I installed tibu and restarted that the phone went into loop.
Anyone have any ideas what may have caused this issue? And if I root the new phone and install tibu if im going to have the same issue? Id rather not ruin another phone.
I rooted my phone using doomlords zergrush v2 and have been fine. Rooted many times have titanium backup installed and such. Not sure what my have caused it

Here is the story so far. I rooted my phone and got a little carefree with Titanium back up and uninstalled some essential gapps. I was able to get into download mode and am using LGNPST to restore my device to factory settings. The issue is I keep running into is I am getting stuck at 85%, which I know is a common error point in the LGNPST process. I turn the phone off and power it back on while keeping the phone plugged in and the phone reboots. After a few minutes I finally get an error message saying the following
Process:Upgrade_Masterbin
SubProc: Masterbin Download
Cause: Error: Fail opening port
Any kind of help would be much appreciated
Thanks!
Desconect the phone and do a hard reset.
Alright that seemed to get my farther. After a hard reset I was able to catch a glimpse of the phone setup before the phone immediately shut off. I am going to try and re install stock firmware through LGNPST again to see if this will work finally. Thanks!
Instal the 11c update anf root with the universal root.
Please help me,
Phone is having problems, started out this morning when I woke up. I restarted my phone and all of my apps in the folders got all dumped out of their sorted folders, not a big deal I thought I will restart my phone again to see if that helps. After I restarted my phone again, I got all sorts of crashes and force close message and that got me in a loop where after I force close it, it tries to run the program again and goes back to crashing in a loop. Mainly TW launcher and some other start up apps.
I researched online and followed instructions on how to wipe the cache in recovery mode and try to see if that helps. That didn't help at all. After exhausting all options, I have decided there is no other choice but to do a factory reset on my phone. I cannot have an nonoperational phone as I have to make and receive called throughout the day for my business. After I factory reset my phone, it reboots in like normal except for a few problems. The home button doesn't work, the lock screen PIN doesn't function, and the power button menu only has power off option.
Isn't the factory reset suppose to bring my phone back to when I bought it new? Those problems were not there when I first bought my phone. I did not flash in another rom, it's on stock rom but only rooted before.
I searched and found this thread,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1246439
My knowledge on Android cell phones isn't as advance as needed to follow those instructions. Is there another method to fix those problems, or can someone help me with plain English.
Thankyou
Bob
Seems like a corrupted firmware to me, if you want to go the easy way, we follow here, try flashing a new stock rom via Odin(you will have to read and follow instructions carefully though) , if you want to go the Samsung way you can use Emergency Recovery in Kies (easier but slower).

Last year this happened to me too.But a Factory reset solved everything for me.Try via Odin, and flash XWLP7 firmware(search on Sammobile,it's android 4.0.3).Then do a Factory reset again.
Thank you both of you for your advice and help.
This phone never cease to amaze me, today my phone decided to be in a good mood and every problem I mentioned in my original post has been solved by itself. I can skip re-flashing my phone for now. I have now switched to Go Launcher instead of using the TW Launcher, hopefully it's more reliable and I wouldn't have to do a factory reset again and potentially bringing those problems.
It happened to me as well exactly the same thing att galaxy s4

Hi,
Am stuck in a pretty tricky situation and any help would be highly appreciated.
Firstly, the phone's power/lock button started giving some problems, I searched online and came to know that, this was a quite frequent problem, with LG OG/ nexus 4 series, and could be solved by performing a factory reset, or by flashing a custom ROM. I took backup using Titanium Bakcup, and went ahead with factory resetting. But what I had forgotten was that, when I had bought this phone 1 year back, I had rooted my mobile, using SuperSU, without unlocking my bootloader. So, my phone used to work pretty well, until I was booting into recovery. When booted into recovery, it used to give the message, secure booting error, but on restarting the phone, it used to work normally. This time, while performing the reset, this got stuck in the same secure booting error screen, but also I cant get out of this since Power/Lock Screen button is also not working, currently.
Please help me out of this if possible. I am quite inexperienced in this matter, and hope to get some help, any, if possible.
Hi all,
I've managed to royally mess up my Galaxy S2, and I could really do with a bit of help! It was running a rooted stock rom.
The problem started when I attempted to install the Orange Signal Booster using instructions from this thread. I think the killer was replacing default.prop in system.
At this point the phone would crash a couple of seconds after the unlock screen appeared. I could get as far as dragging down and clicking settings before the entire thing hangs. I got similar results in safe mode. I also tried wiping cache etc in CWM but to no avail. I'm backed up, so I tried a factory reset, but I'm having a similar issue. The language selection screen appears, I press start and the phone freezes again.
I'd really appreciate some help!
BTW, my phone's USB port doesn't work so I'm looking for a solution that can be done within recovery. This is a separate issue and I believe it is unrelated as I have managed fine for over a year.
With a dead usb port you're pretty much screwed. The best and fail proof solution is to reflash stock rom using odin because it will wipe and reflash all partitions that were used before.
So I rooted my phone using king root and everything was working fine up until I tried to switch from kingroot to super su using super sume. After that my phone just reset and at first was endlessly restarting, after shutting it off and back on I was able to get it to stop endlessly booting but ran into a different issue. The phone boots up and reaches the "android is starting... Starting apps." Screen and doesn't go anywhere past that. I went into recovery mode and preformed a data wipe to see if that would work and the problem still persists. I am in fact running on stock no clockwork recovery or anything of that nature. If anyone can help that would be great! ?

im in the same boat as you.
Damn....................
Im in the same hole as all of you or at least was....
So the problem with this is that these rooting programs such as kingroot and Kingoroot arent compatible with a lot of devices that aren't popular such as alcatel phones for instance....... although it is available for higher versions fortunately. The glitch that we have all had is due to trying to use 2 rooting programs (NEVER TRY THIS!!!!!!!) on one device and interference when booting up causes this annoying bootloop. Im assuming that no one here has managed to unlock the bootloader, so what you must do is plug your phone into a pc via usb and then try to download this firmware:
drive.
google.
com/open?id=
0BwBw9a_
6fkKUMmpWWno0S2ljTjA
Justt put it all together and download the firmware afterwards.... the pc must detect the phone first so this program can detect and install the drivers. Requires a format tho, so take that in mind. Hope it works for you guys......
