I just purchased the Galaxy Tab 10.1 recently. I wanna download the appropriate HD wallpaper resolution. Most of the photos I see online don't look as good as the preloaded wallpapers on the Tab. Thanks!

You'll find that it's 1280x800. To save yourself the grief of trying to set wallpapers and being forced by honeycomb to crop them it is recommended by many that you use Multipicture Livewallpaper available in market. With it native resolution images (1280x800) should look great as wallpapers, plus you have the added benefit of having wallpapers change of setting particular folders for particular home screens.
I like that link lol.

You beat me to it. LMGTFY is almost as good as LATFH.
I did Google that but that screen resolution didn't actually fit and that's why I asked here. Anyway, I found out the resolution that fits is 1920 x1200. Thanks anyway but grown up answers would be appreciated by anyone.

M_Shaaban,
This might help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15220782&postcount=1
cheers.
ace81,
Thanks a lot! Great collection!
BTW, my response was NOT intended to be childish. If it were, I'd have merely linked the LMGTFY link alone but you'll note that I did not.
Instead I noted to you that if you're trying to get native resolution images onto the device as wallpapers the best way to do it is using multipicture livewallpaper.
The native resolution is indeed 1280x800 and the fact that you're successful in putting larger images on there does not disprove this.
muzzy996
I didn't mean to be disrespectful or childish either, nor trying to disprove anything. Thanks for your input anyway!

I googled this question and it brought me here LOL.

I find a zillion 1024x600 wallpapers online but 600x1024...not so much. Anyone have a good site for that?
interfacelift.com I find that 1280x1024 work best because it spans all 3 screens. 1024x1024 also work well.
i cant get anything to look right using Zeam. All the wallpapers are super zoomed-in. Hmm.

Good (well not good), so it's not just me...
Edit: after testing other launchers, I don't think it's Zeam-related. Even the BN launcher makes all of my (specifically resized) wallpapers look like crap.
Try setting the wallpaper while in landscape mode. Still not perfect, but MUCH better.

What resolution is the nook screen? (Actual viewing size & wallpaper size)
Thanks in advance.
Specs are: 1024 x 600 IPS display
Hi!
I'm "trying "to install wallpaper or wallpapers in the Galaxy Tab 10.1vy believe me you do not see any good.
Let me explain: Download the funds that interest you (preferably a native resolution of 1280x800), you go to "Background" / Gallery, select the directory you want and asks you to resize the same fund, which in my NOT I never look good (always cut too).
Do you know it is because of this?
Do you know where are located the original wallpapers on our Tab 10.1v?
(let your wallet).
Thnx!
The problem lies with the fact that the app drawer also has a background that moves. Whenever you press the appdrawer you fly "up" over the wallpaper. So the wallpapers aren't 1280x800 they er more towards 4:3 aspect ratio. There for I advice you to get 1600x1200 wallpapers and cut it with the fact in mind that the wallpaper is somewhere near the bottom of the crop tool
I don't know if wallpaper scrolling can be disabled. You might have a fix for that. Good luck!

Are you using the correct sized wallpaper? I don't recall the actual size but it's listed in Themes and Apps thread.

If you mean you don't want your pictures cropped like the stock gallery makes you do, I recommend checking out an app called QuickPic from the Android Market. The app is free and it lets you have better control of how much of the wallpaper picture you want to show.
I was looking for correct wallpaper sizes and stumbled across this site. Nice selection. And free.

I've been using the PicSpeed wallpaper app to both download and apply HD wallpapers. They have a pretty good selection of papers and using the app to apply the wallpaper changes seems to result, to me at least, to be much better resolution and cropping.
I have tried downloading apps and getting pictures off the internet that are at 2560x1600 but they are all blurry. The only good ones are the default ones built-in. Is there any place to go to get wallpapers that are not blurry?

Try 'Pattrn'. The quality on the 10's screen is fantastic.
Wallpaperswide.com and use the simple image wallpaper app to set them as wallpaper.

Dont listen to the above, you'll always have cropping issues and it'll look horrible if you use 2560x1600 because Android wallpapers scroll and are meant to look good in both landscape and portrait. Ideally, you should use images that are exactly 3966x2560. There aren't a lot of those out there, however. What I've been doing until more become available is Google's image search, using the Search Tools option to limit the results to images exactly or larger than 12MP (4096x3072). Scaling an image down will look much better than scaling up, and using anything below 3966x2560 will do just that.
Edit: Sorry, I skimmed the other replies before writing this. technician42's suggestion for the Pattrn app is actually a really good one. The others though... as I said, anything less than 3966x2560 will give you a bad time.

Not 100% true.
So don't disregard the links above as they're perfectly useful and I have many wallpapers that are 2560x1600 that aren't cropped on my N10. Use an app called Simple Image Wallpaper Free in conjunction with wallpapers from the above links, or with any other 2560x1600 images you find. The app is actually a "live wallpaper" but there is nothing live about it. From within the settings check "fill screen" and the app will make sure there is no cropping of the image. If you are so inclined you may also choose different images for landscape and portrait. One thing to note, your wallpaper will not scroll if you use this. Enjoy.

The problem with this approach is, unless the wallpaper doesn't rotate with the tablet, it would look horrible in portrait mode (or Landscape if you used a 1600x2560 image). You cant fill 2560 of height with 1600 without ugly stretching.

I see what you're saying, but the wallpaper doesn't rotate with the screen, so it doesn't stretch. One downside is that some of what you see in landscape mode won't be seen in portrait, but I rarely use my tablet in portrait anyway.
Simple image wallpaper pro lets you choose a different wallpaper for portrait. I can't stand the scrolling wallpaper. First thing i turn off, and its MUCH easier finding good wallpapers. 2560 x 1600 is the right resolution for a non scrolling, one screen wallpaper. Looks great. Oh, just discovered yesterday that recent nova launcher update will let you crop and set non scrolling wallpapers. Woot!

now you have your 2560x1600 images in fullscreen

The official AOKP from Steve Spear has this feature built into his ROM.
The easiest way to find wallpaper that you don't have to crop is Google images and use the Exact Size feature (priceless feature btw)
Search for whatever ("wallpaper" being a good start)
Search Tools
Drop down that says "Any Size"
Choose "Exactly"
Enter in the HxW you want in pixels..
I use screen captures from Minecraft. You can get some pretty cinematic effects in Minecraft using optifine. I have some nice pictures that have been featured on my homescreen. For example, a cave system or setting sun.

Can i set a lock screen wallpaper?
Hi all...
I bought one of those touchpads for $99 and finally got around to loading CM9. Very happy with it but having problems with wallpapers. TP resolution supposed to be 1024 x 768, but wallpapers that size are way too large. If I understand it properly, it may have to do with different dpi for WebOS vs Android. Any tips please?
Thanks in advance.
there's no option to apply wallpaper without cropping so I use picseed from the play store to apply wallpapers and it works well for me...hope that helps.

Thanks, will try.
Two options for setting wallpapers without having it zoom in are multipicture live wallpaper and I believe wallpaper wizdrini(I may have misspelled that, lol). I've used multipicture live wallpaper and it makes the wallpapers look much better that the default app does. Haven't tried wizdrini on the touchpad yet, but it gives fine control over exactly how the wallpaper will work on my other tablets, it should work for the touchpad. If you try it, please let me know how well it works.
Wallpaper wizardrii works pretty good and has more options for cropping or not.
