I Flash "THE ARCTIC" rom and i forgot to make a backup to the original rom [i have gsm version]
How I can make my phone be like when I buy it?
Please help me
Which region's stock ROM did you have? Where did you buy the phone?
I'm from romania, I don't know exactly, I think US but how I know sure?
I don't know how you can find the ROM region dude.
Well if you find out your ROM region, then you can go download the appropriate ROM in the official ROM thread in the development section and use RSD lite to flash it back to factory ROM. That should work and your phone will be good as new.
Here's the official ROM thread link

Please do check for the correct version (CDMA/GSM) and the region.

Well i just want to backup my orignal firmware before flashing a new one and yes i don't have CWM (not been developed for I9001) so i'm asking for a pc based software or maybe something like ROM manager/ADB which would backup my current firmware so that i can apply it back whenever i want...
I tried samfirmware.com but they have firmwares which do not match the one i have...
Bumping...the thread
I want to get back to my stock rom but checking *#1234# won't work for me because it brings the info from rom.
I bought my phone from a small phone shop abroad so I don't really know the origin of the phone.
Is there any other way to learn what is the origin of the phone and what stock rom would work for me?
I dont really understand the question but if you want to check the phone info so go to settings - about phone
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
You need to get the details of the phone off the box and from under the battery .
Then its guesswork unless you saved your original details .
Replacing firmware has wiped the original firmware details .

So does that mean I can flash any stock rom I want? When I checked the "guide to download and flash stock rom" there is a list of different stock roms(based on countries and/or gsm operators). and I know that different phones have different hw modules(camera etc). I wonder if any stock rom would be fine with any device out there?

I think that as long as you flash a Stock ROM with your contry code / region enabled, you shouldnt have any problems. For example, if you have an US phone, I wouldn't flash an indian Stock ROM in it...
"you can not flash via fastboot any official rom with different signature from the original one for your phone"
is this true regarding flashing???
Not sure...what rom are you trying to flash via fastboot?
no, its not the problem with me. actually i noticed many times here in razr flashing question about mismatched ROM and they are advised to check for their own region ROM only. i want advise regarding this only for precaution, as i had successfully flashed many EU ROM, a Brasil version, FTS 2.3 ROM, and ARctic one without any region mismatch problem. That's why to be on safer side, i want to know this so to avoid any future soft/hard brick problem.
I have flashed Artic, as well as a Brazilian ROM with success.

that's what i want to confirm. if theres so many people out there with having problem with flashing other regions ROM, and some of us are flashing different ROM with success, so if any DEV want to pin-point here whats exactly going on here with our RAZR. If we are so lucky having such 'unique' razrs or they are some unlucky ones having some not so 'unique' one.
DEV's help needed here.

Waiy for it. If not then flash with other countries firmware.
You go to sammobile site, enter Firmware section and search for your device... Then you'll find all firmwares. However, not every firmware will be compatible with your device. Some issues would face you if you force a firmware to your device. (Not really always, and some have fixes)
It is recommended to make a Nandriod backup before installing foreign firmwares.
Also I believe that according to forum rules, you aren't allowed to ask for "OTA" D:
Recently bought a H860N from Honk Kong. I suspect they have flashed the LG V20 ROM to the phone before posting it to me, as it reads V20f-HKG-XX. under the software info section.
Can someone please advise if it's the incorrect rom and guide me how I can flash the correct ROM (preferably a rom based on Andriod 6)
