[Q] Removing standard laucher?

I am using CM7.1 build by grif and that one has ADW launcher by default. Can i remove it with titanium backup and install GO launcher or will that crash something? I'm a beginner, so thanks for probably a simple answer.
Install Go launcher first and then remove ADW. It wont crash

Install the other launcher, set defaults to it. (maybe even turn it to a system app using titanium backup). and remove the old launcher with titanium backup.
I have done it and there are no issues so far.. cheers
Can the system app thing be done for iLauncher and replace ADW Launcher? CM7. 2

Yes, but first try to make iLauncher a system app (do not remove adw), reboot your phone and see whether iLauncher works properly or not and then remove adw launcher

Titanium backup is useless. Download root explorer or file manager app from market. After downloading, open root explorer or file manager. Go to sd card or data/app and copy go launcher ex's apk and paste it in system/app and set permissions to
RW-
R--
R--
Reboot and enjoy.

What icons are you looking to change? If its in the app drawer, you'd need to go in and change the file one by one unless you found a perfect theme. There are a few good apps that let you change icons on the home screen. Desktop VisualizeR is a good one.
I want to change app drawer icons without any theme.

Whichever app's icon you want to change, first get it on your PC. Decompile it, change the icon and then recompile!
Replace it with the current app with root explorer!

- First transfer the apk file, you want to edit, to your computer. ( I am assuming you know how to )
- Use 7zip to extract the apk on your PC.
- Edit the icons you want in the folder you just got after extracting the apk.
- Now open the Original Apk with 7zip.
- Now drag the edited icons from the extracted folder to the original apk and overwrite them.
Now you can install it on your phone!

[Q] Were are Themes stored in CM9

I have downloaded a payed theme in the app store. I want to edit a few .png's in it that I don't like, but WHERE are the theme-files stored exactly, anyone?
do u run an aokp rom ??
if no then move on to that
then in ur settings > with rom control u will have another options themes
under that u will find your themes
The .apk is stored in the same place as regular apps.

/data/app is where installed apps go. It likely won't be called flow.apk either.

Is there any way?

Is there anyway to theme apps on the go? Meaning replace some icons, images with the phone....
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Nope you need to decompile the apk and change the files which cant be done on the device.
You could use a custom launcher to change the image it uses for the icon but it won't actually change the apps icon
