After updating to the new superuser, I lose root access and busybox support.

BusyBox Installer Problem

I've just got round to re-rooting my X8 after having to use SEUS to restore my phone back to the stock 2.1.1 after bricking it with a theme install that went wrong and keep getting this error when trying to install BusyBox.
Root Access Denied!
BusyBox Installer was not allowed root access!
This may be an issue with Superuser, try opening Superuser and making sure that you are allowing us root access.
If you are still having an issue, please email [email protected] with details of the issue and log.
I've never encountered any problems installing BusyBox in the past. Does anyone know what the problem might be that is causing the BusyBox Installer to not allow me to install BusyBox?

which busybox version are u using ?
yeah... it happen to me too,, it caused by the rom[SU error-but somebody just fix it already],, wat rom u use, not every rom support newer busybox,, dont know why.. sometimes will get loop sonyericson logo,, after i updated with newer busybox, i use xcyaogengingerbread V3 for 5 a week now.. even still give random reboot[not to many],,,
We shall not install latest busybox or update it!
If we install latest busybox just change to old version 1.7.1 that should be ok.
Rolandh, you asked same thing in Development section.... Jesus! Read posts there first!

[Q]Root acces and privileges problem

Hello guys
I am having i problem with my root access.
Well yesterday i was trying to instal supercharger script on my t-mobile move balance phone. Everything was fine with the progress when on i guess step 5 or something i unfortunately got a msg su: must be suid to work properly...I didint know what to do, and hit kill, all the process was canceled.Later i tried to do the progress once more from the start, when i opened busybox it said No root access, i tried to open titanium too and i got error sorry i could not acquire root privilegies this app will not work please verify that your rom is rooted and includes busybox and try again, and on every app that requires root access it says you have no root access. But i have the su icon. I also tried with factory reset, reroot it again and still the same problem i have the su icon but no root access.
I rooted my phone with superoneclick and when i try to unroot it,unfortunately i guess it needs root access too to make the unroot progres... http://prntscr.com/65iyv
When i just click root http://prntscr.com/65izi
Well it says that my phone is rooted but i got no root access and privileges on apps that requires root access.
There is other problem

Stock ics - canada
cwm 5.5.0.4
Superuser 3.1.3
Root method using the samsung_galaxy_10.1_root.zip
I know im not the only one with this issue. can anyone offer any help? according to various root checkers im not rooted
I could be wrong here.. but you probably need to have Busybox installed as well?

[Q]Root, does it require insecure kernel

I couldnt find a solid answer, so i was looking for help. I unlocked my phone and installed TWRP. I then flashed the SuperSU and BusyBox .zip file via recovery. But when i open the SU app i get prompted to update binaries and it will crash if i attempt to do so.
I have not flashed the insecure kernel, but I was almost certain that this was not need to gain root access.
Can i get confirmation? Maybe some help too

I have this exact same issue and I AM running the insecure kernel so I don't think it is an issue of the kernel. I found that using the SuperUser app rather than SuperSU works to alleviate this problem, but now I can't figure out how to uninstall the SuperSU app. If anybody can help me with this let me know
SuperSU wont work you have to use superuser for now..i had the same mistake but when i removed everything and redid it with superuser it been working fine since
Ok, well here's an update. I installed SuperUser via the Play Store, and updated the binaries. Afterwards I reboot and uninstalled the new SuperUser app and. tested SuperSU again. It prompted me to update Binaries again, but this time it worked, and now I am working just fine.

this worked for me on the super user gaining root

Help problem with rooting

Hi im wondering if anyone can help i have an xperia z2.
I recently used the rooting method on the site but did nothing with the bootloader.
now i cannot access the recovery menu and although root checker shows as rooted super su says i need to update the binary. It will not allow me to do this.
Im not sure what to do now as i dont seem able to update this. Can anyone help,my end goal is to fully unlock the phone.
Hmm when I rooted in thought I had to download the super su app from the website. Try this one http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/
How do i go about installing this?
I thought I downloaded the app, clicked update binaries and it worked.
