Cant update rooted razr - Motorola Droid RAZR

When i originally received the update i downloaded it while rooted. I got a message sayin that the update failed. So then i unrooted and it still failed. I read somewhere sayin that i can be manually installed but then i couldnt find the cache folder and when i did find it, it was empty. Please help

Did you remove bloat? Delete stock apps? Change icons? Etc...
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium

Yes, a little of all three. I downloaded the update using mega file and found out where i needed to put it. The installation aborted and gave a status 7. 5bb6 in /system/app/DataManagerSrrvice.apk & 5ccl in /tmp/sideload/package.zip

I can easily get you the first but I'm not sure of the 2nd. Check out my update thread in development. Someone linked to a fully bloated stock zip.

If rooted you could alwzys delete logwrapper abd than rename logwrapper.bin to just logwrapper. If google how to remove bootstrap thats what comes up, but also ive seen alot of people say it threw em in bootloops. Id probably have matts utility on a comp before i tried, idk, or you could wait a few days for official ota, can you boot ti gb?

Sure - I uninstalled the app and replaced the logwrapper from the backed logwrapper.bin... But I want to make sure that the bootstrap is completely gone and nothing is screwed...

Nobody's around anymore, so this will be the Blind Leading The Blind.
I think you can go back into safestrap and restore using the same method you backed up the original system with. It's supposed to work well.

You would need the Fastboot files if you are planning to flash your phone through RSD Lite. You'll need the Fastboot files that are compatible with your RAZR version (i.e. region, GSM/CDMA).
Were can I find these files

anyone?
Delete any ROM slot, boot to stock ROM. Uninstall safestrap and try to reinstall and activate safestrap again.
Now you can try creating new slot and flashing ROM. If is it work.

Jelly Bean Back to ICS

If i update to JellyBean, am I able to go back down to ICS. I thought i read somewhere that you couldn't after updating.
You read correctly.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
The JB ROM allows you to go back if the rom is packaged as zip package valid for BMM flashing. If it's an official sbf file you can't because of cdt update.
