[Q] question about market app

Maybe i am remembering wrong but didn't the market used to give me more than one page of results? Now whether i search or choose" top paid" all i get is one page of results. Did i do something? This is the market that came with the autonooter for 1.01.
Turn your Nook to landscape and scroll. You have an older older Market.
The market will only display apps for android 2.1 and it wont scroll without being turned to landscape. The new market fixes both of these issues and is easy to sideload.

Thanks, I updated to the new market and it works fine now, if slooooowly.

[Q] About Apps on a rooted Nook Tablet

I received my Nook Tablet for Christmas, and of course the first thing I do is root it (using Nook&Zergy). Now that I have access to the market, I ask myself"wheres all the apps?" I assume that it was the Android market filter hiding incompatible apps. So later on I try to side load and get errors. So now I just want to know how to get apps to work? I also blocked OTA's.
[In a nutshell]
What I know:
-Nook runs tweaked Gingerbread
-Honeycomb app I try to install get a parseing error when I try to install(most likely do to api's)
-Market has limited app selection.
What I want to know:
- Is it possible to get Honey comb apps to run(for example adobe touch apps, sketchbook pro hd ect...)
-Why is the android market selection so limited
-What is a parsing error?
- If you have any more advice feel free to share
Thank you!
I'm having same issue
Im having the same problem. Google maps, Evernote, Facebook all do not show up in market. When I use the browser to access the market it says these apps are incompatible. Also words with friends installs and opens but doesn't show properly, the chat window overlaps the game board so you can't see it. Is this a dpi issue? I've seen other posts that maybe dpi needs to be changed to 160. If so, How is this done?

Gingerbread can't run honeycomb apps. I have evernote and some other apps I have found through other sites, however i have not got facebook to run yet.
The apps are limited because of the fingerprint of the device, but people have spoofed the build.prop file to gain access to more of the market. See other threads.
I have facebook and twitter running on my rooted nook right now. I took the apks from my phone backups and put them in dropbox, downloaded and installed. (That was actually before I rooted) but they are working fine and the widgets work on the homescreens. I did that with all of the apps I wanted from my phone.
If this helps, I created a tutorial on how to download apps not showing up in the Marketplace.

If you can share the apk for facebook, it would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Android talkback for specific app

I have an Alcatel Spop
Pretty new to Android.
Downloaded a book on Google Play Books.
Started to read it OK.
Decided having it read to me would be nice.
So enable talkback in the OS settings.
Problem is everything talks back, even notifications as they come in.
So I turned it off.
Can it be enabled on a single app ??
Thanks
Jim

How to retrieve Browser "Saved Pages"?

Since I've been eligible for an upgrade recently, I decided to upgrade from my GS3 to GS5. On GS3 I used to use Android 4.1.1 stock browser where I could save websites for offline reading. When I was upgrading to GS5, I backed all of my apps up using Titanium backup. However, I found out that stock browser isn't supported on higher version of Android anymore. Using "AOSP Browesr Installer" app on Google Play I downloaded the AOSP browser however it doesn't have that "Saved Pages" option anymore. If anyone kindly tell me how I can get those saved pages back (whether in AOSP browser or some other browser) that'll be greatly appreciated.
Any help, please?

Nook Reader App 4.0

BN now has the Nook Reader App 4.0 on the Play Store. It even runs Kids books just like the stock reader. But Play Store shows it as incompatible with the Nook HD/HD+. It does run fine, just Play Store will not allow it to be installed so that it cannot be installed on the stock software and interfere with the stock version. The solution is to manually install the apk file to CM yourself. I have uploaded the apk file to my Dev-Host server account here:

Thank you for sharing.
Edit: will not actually load any of my side loaded content. Sees it. Let me add to library, but won't let me open any of it. Alidko opened them fine.
This app was eating my processor time and battery, slowing down my device. I finally traced it to the nook service trying to keep me informed of things. I was able to fix it by going to settings, apps, and selecting the nook reader app. There I unchecked the show notifications box and all was well.
Edit: well spoke too soon. All was well because I force stopped the app also. As soon as I opened the app again that service started to eat me again. May need to go back to prior version which I had archived.
Edit2: I think I found the problem. First, I uninstalled and reinstalled the 4.0 app. That fixed my inability to see my sideloaded books. Second, I went to settings and in downloads unchecked both newspapers and magazines for automatic downloads. I subscribe to a magazine and the service was automatically downloading a new issue. That is what was eating my processor. All ok now. I love how the new version displays the magazines.
