I have my evo3d on the marketplace here, and I'm not getting any bites at all. An off contract evo3d goes for $550 + the otterbox $50 + zagg $30. I'm wondering why I can't even get an offer over $200. Why does this phone not get any love? Am I missing something?

There's your main reason. Most people do not want to deal with the hassle of HBOOT 1.5 due to the complexity involved with it and custom ROMs.

I wouldnt pay $200 for a used phone.
Im not saying its not worth that... Im just saying if I buy a used phone it has to be at crack head pricces. I will give $50.00 for cash money right now. You can get them all day at that price bran new on contract.

Is it on Craigslist? I'm sure u can get 300 for a like new one. Someone who isn't interested in rooting would probably buy it there. The problem u have here is everyone on this forum is knowledgeable about hboots and rooting so the don't want a stock phone. People actually returne their devices when they come out and a root is not out soon enough.

I really don't understand why the hate for 1.5, it's like what, one more step to flash a rom, and hell, since the flashgui is free herer (don't need adb or a pc), that makes it that much more easier to do, really a non issue for the avg user here. (unless your a dev, and I can't speak for them)

I was up in the air although I don't think I was ever going to leave the e3D. But out of principale alone I was pissed the phone would not get full root. But I'm 100% back on board and convinced this is currently the phone to beat... until holiday season rolls around.

ok so i read that HTC has come out and said they are going to change their stance on locking bootloaders. But do we have actual confirmation that the Evo 3d is shipping unlocked? Or just new devices that haven't shipped yet?
I never left I just said I was, as a form of protest. I kinda knew it would work because of the uproar. If HTC felt they would lose that many customers then yes they would change.

Do you guys really think HTC is going to be that dumb? They know it was the EVo 3D that was the concern. Theres no release yet so you can expect a slight push back in the release now to probably unlock them now. If not they will give the information needed. If they tricked us with that statement, they know people would be even more pissed and HTC's future would be worse than Motorola's.
People need to give them some credit and not be such douche bags. They agreed to our request so for everyone thats thinking they are just fooling us, I'm sorry but you are only sounding like a needy, greedy, ungrateful, arrogant prick.

They're selling a lot of iPhones, but they are having lots of issues with them too, or so I'm told by Sprint techs in Atlanta. I got my 3D for $50 at launch, so.....

That 50$ offer is really making me ponder upgrading from my Hero, but can't decide if I want to wait for the GSII Epic Touch to drop in price instead.

I have a hero right now, upgrading as soon as I can get the login info for the family account.

I got my 3d for free technically. My local Walmart has it for 98 bucks and at the time (i think theyre still doing this) they are giving 100 dollar gift cards to anyone that gets a smartphone... So basically they paid me 2 bucks to take it off their hands. Being that this is my second one i was scared itd be hboot 1.5 but apparently back home no one buys sprint phones because coverage is spotty at best..... So i ended up getting it with hboot 1.3
And to they guy debating on epic touch or 3d... Id recommend the 3d if you like custom roms. There are a lot more options with roms, kernels, and overclocking with the 3d. I had it and wasnt overly impressed except for the gorgeous display. Damn i love those amoleds.

The E4GT is probably going for more than the 3D right now on ebay and stuff. Call Sprint retentions, have them give you an upgrade, sell your sammy and buy the evolte at $200. Make it happen

i might try this as well....$100 for that phone is a good deal...my charge port is about gone too. and i wouldnt call the sgs2 a POS phone. it was one of the best android phones out. its better than the evo3d IMO. did you do this online or did you call in?

I am going to have to file a claim because I messed up my 3d pretty bad and i'm curious as to what I may be getting.
I'd like to add here if it's not too late; the Epic Touch 4G is a fantastic phone. I strongly recommend you play with it a bit before getting rid of it.

I am in the same boat as well. I've cracked my second Evo 3D within 2 months of each other. I haven't cracked any of my previous phones over the past 9 years, but I've had bad luck with my 3D lol. I am also about to drop Sprint for Verizon due to coverage at and near my house, basically non-existant. I moved from Hawaii to DC because of being Military and where I am at now sucks big time. I've been here for a while and have tried the airwave thing, but my area sucks in general. I have a Verizon blackberry for work and it always has reception where my Evo and Evo3D does not. Also, has anyone else had this happen to them?

Alright guys. Just for ****s and giggles I went on phoneclaim.com and filed a claim. Didn't follow through all the way but they said I would get an evo3dpur purple as my replacement and it was on back order and could take up to 3 days to get it. I never knew it came in purple and I wonder what OS it would come with.

My EVO 3D has been out of commission for 2 days now. They said I won't be able to get one in my hand until at the earliest, Thursday of next week. They won't do ANYTHING for me.

Any suggestions on how to sell it, i have bestbuy buyback, but that wont really be enough for me to get the insurance again with the note 2,(Im planning on using my sister upgrade, she cant afford to buy a new phone anyways. But ya, how should i sell my evo lte?

If you're looking for someone to tell you you're making the right decision and you should go for it, then you should probably head over to the Note 2 section. You might get lucky here with some impatient people, but no one can make your mind up for you. If you want to sell your phone, there are hundreds of ways to do it, it just depends on what you're looking to get for it. Craigslist, eBay, hell, even the Market on this site. Please don't look for someone to make your mind up for you. Base your decision on actually using the two devices. When it comes out in the store, go there and play with it. They're on display for that reason. If you find that it's what you want, do what you need to in order to get your EVO sold, and then buy the Note 2.
Your best bet to sell it on ebay. Selling it local on Craigslist won't net you much. I've bought 2 EVO's on Craigslist for $200. And as newer phones like iphone 5 and Note 2 comes out, it only pushes the EVO's retail value even more down.
