Biggest Bugs:
HDMI,fm,wifi hotspots, built-in screenshots, 2way call recordyng don't work absolutely.
But 3rd part screenshots working fine, about fm...I'm using tunein pro. There is all my local stations and many more.
And all other working fine in this rom.
And we have some translation bugs too in contact savings.
INSTALL (my recommended way)
1. Flash NightElf kernel or JasonStein
2. Boot into CWMod recovery and WIPE all.
3. Flash MIUI 2.1.20 v1
4. Reboot
4. (IMPORTANT) When rom 1st time booting its laggy and slow....after 1st bootup make 2nd reboot about after 5min. [/B]
5.1 Flash Fixed camera patch link Thanx to palimatix and my 4shared mirror
6. And after 2nd boot you get good and stable ROM, with GREAT BATTERY LIFE!!!
7. Optional. Use "S2E"...this giving you a lot free space and its just working so good and perfect!!

What do you mean by this? I installed this rom using CWM and now it's stuck at the Sony Ericsson logo, can't even boot into CWM itself anymore.
he means reboot you device after 5 minutes of its first bootup
Installation instruction
1. download miui kernel , rename it to 'boot' & place it in fastboot folder (SEE this thread FOR LIST OF MIUI kernels)
A. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (switchoff phone ,Hold menu button & connect phone via use)(should see blue led glow)
B. flash kernel using fastboot. type this command

2. wipe factory settings & cache partition via CWM
3. install this rom via CWM

Although I already did root with DooMLoRD's Easy rooting toolkit. I can't boot up phone to try to root it again. Could you give me any ideas what to try next? It just hangs at the Sony Ericsson logo.
More info just in case: At first I unlocked the bootloader with S1tool using testpoint, the unlock seemed to be successful. Just now I also tried the offical SonyEricsson method and this gave me

try updating your ADB drivers .... & make sure you do a nandroid backup of stock rom
Still no luck.
Buld number: 4.0.2.A.0.42
Unlocked bootloader with s1tool and testpoint method (before doing this DooMLoRD's script returned permission errors).
Rooted with "DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip"
Also tried unrooting and rooting again. Didn't give me any errors, everything seemed to be ok.
Yet fastboot still tells me:

AFAIK I've already rooted my device and DooMLoRD v3 rooting script didn't give me any errors either. What am I missing?

Screen brightness is in minuit much brighter than stock. Maybe this is most power eating reason.

Hi Guys, as promised I have completed and made available my first custom rom based on upgrading 2.3.4 which brings important news' compared to 2.3.3:
Brightness' display can be set at will (finally)
Video recording at 720p with continuous autofocus range (Excellent features)
+ Other changes to the system to make it even better.
My rom has a completely Custom Theme-style mixer with the addition of Power ''Menu'' Reboot with the new entry (by the user and his thomassafca(thank you).
[THEME] Samsung Galaxy S II which was inspired and edited personalmenteil my theme), the most icons taken from the ''new'' Ice Cream Sandwich

Flashing the Kernel process
• download the boot.img
• save the folder where you boot.img file and ADB fastboot.exe
• Turn off the phone

• ADB Use the commands below to flash the boot.img.

Removed some applications in my opinion, unnecessary and above all the bloatware (app third parties in the original ROM) that weigh down the system and is said to affect the consumer battery ;-)

put up a confirmation to warn the user that this option will wipe sdcard
added ability to select filesystem (for /sd-ext partition) when creating new layout

Benchmarks mean nothing, there so easy to fool, a dev could make a rom with awesome benchmark scores, but it wouldnt mean the rom would be any good in reality

Doomlord released an app in the arc section to fool quadrant. I got 3600 with no overclock. I think if i overclocked to 2ghz i'd be looking at 5/6000

Yes. No problems. Use flashtool for flashing and full wipe is recommended!

For hotspot try 3rd part tethering app.
Ringtones and notifications change "themes-edit theme setting-ringtones-your ringtone

That's a fix from the original MIUI 1.12.9 rom.
I still don't get if this is just the result of the tool from Jason Stein or if the OP made any extra changes to the ROM...

This is the highest free on any custom ROM for the Neo V.
2. How is this made possible?
a) This ROM has been ODEXed. Hence all dalvik files for system apk's are in the /system partition itself!
b) Dalvik-cache has been moved to the /cache partition.
3. Why ODEX the ROM?
a) ODEX ROM's load up faster the first time
b) ODEX'ed system apks do not create .dex files in dalvik-cache, hence size of dalvik-cache decreases. This is required so that there is enough room on the /cache partition for the dalvik-cache also.
4. What are the features of this ROM?
Based on stock .62 firmware for Neo V
Rooted and busybox (latest su binary and Superuser.apk)
12 Notification toggles with QuickPanel app for editing them.
Zipaligned (and script)
All included apps updated to latest version.
Many bloatware apps removed (see the attached list, i can post them on request)
ES File explorer, No Frills CPU control added
Google maps navigation unlocked for the whole world - credits brutall,ownhere.
Battery life is very good (thanks to the Night-elf kernel)

6. How to install this ROM.
Copy Downloaded files to SD card.
Flash Night-elf's kernel for stock (latest version 9) [ Instructions ]
Enter recovery by pressing the back key when you see the blue light.
If you were not on stock/stock-based ROM, wipe Data is safer [ AFTER NANDROID BACKUP ]
Install zip followed by any addon required.
Reboot to you new Spacious, Smooth and Lightwieght ROM
7. Any disadvantages of ODEX'ed ROM?
The only disadvantage is that you cannot install custom themes on the ROM.
But, mind you, UOT kitchen can be used to change a lot of the UI.
8. But why not use Link2SD or Dalvik2SD?
It has its own problems, most important being io speeds from the card and problems when card is removed.

I have not tested, but you may try the following procedure and report!
Steps:
1. TAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
2. Wipe cache and dalvik-cache (optionally wipe data)
3. Install ROM
4. Install Neo_062_modules_stock.zip
5. Reboot and report!

No i thought i'll try without wiping the data first (as u said it was optional), but bootloop
But then i cudnt get into recovery
So flashed back to stock, rooted it, installed cwm then restore my backup.

If it need Nightelf's kernel doubt it will work,afaik any custom kernels need unlocked boot loader.
Anyway rom looks nice(390mb internal storage ),if can from next version please add Xperia S apps and graphics I'll definitely move permanently.Gonna try this tomorrow after MIUI official beta

[ how to install this kernel ]
download the boot.img & modules update.zip
save the boot.img in the folder with fastboot binaries (fastboot.exe files)
save the modules update.zip to sdcard (on phone)
power down device
start device in fastboot mode
use the following command to flash the boot.img

reboot phone and enter recovery
flash the wifi modules update.zip for my kernel

entry key is the BACK button
there are multiple notifications to tell u when to press the entry key:
LED will light up to BLUE
the phone will vibrate when its waiting for keypress
thats it you should now enter my custom recovery

SEARCH button to SELECT
HOME button to GO UP

start SetCPU/NoFrills CPU Control app on ur device (or any other app which supports overclocking) (u may get a popup asking for SuperUser permissions, click ok/yes/allow)
now slowly increase the MAX slider to the right (one notch at a time) to increase the maximum frequency limit
DO NOT JUMP TO THE LAST POSSIBLE FREQUENCY
SLOWLY increase the frequency one notch at a time and do stability/testing for few hours

FlashTool currently only supports flashing kernel... We are working on adding capability to flash system.img and userdata.img

If you van flash a kernel with Fastboot, you can flash the other two things.
I have a couple of questions, first relating to the Kernel, I flashed the wifi fix and the Wifi still doesn't turn on for me, how can I edit the build.prop to enable it?
second is, does this Official Beta rom not have Google apps pre-installed? Also I don't have Android Market or the Play Shop

About the rom:
Rom is the same rom like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922029 + updated to the version .54 + with added new feature. New feature is native LBE Security from latest and final MIUI rom version 3.2.22 which mean framework in rom is modified and enabled these MIUI security feature. What is LBE Security? Its extra good feature which giving you perfect control for aplications like: permision manager and aplication startups. Rom is complete which mean all feature is integrated like here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1922029
Some aps is moved from system folder to the other place so you have full control to them!
How to install:
Reguirements:
- recovery installed (mine is not reguired, so all recovery is suported)
- unlocked bootloader
Simple place rom to the sdcard, reboot to recovery and install rom using menu "install zip from sdcard. You no need to wipe data...etc because rom will do these thing for you by default! All your personal data will be deleted, so make sure make backup of your private data before you going to install this rom!
Warning:
Do not install SuperSu or Superuser or any other root tool because this rom is designed to work with LBE and will cause a lot of bugs to the aplications and cause system unstability! Allso do not touch su binary, this su binary is designed to work only with LBE ! After initial boot, setup initiall settings, than wait 5 minutes until all aps is installed, than reboot. After boot go to LBE Security and App Control and setup it for your needs!
Do not install memory tweak because these ramdisk will break compatibility with this rom! All tweaks and OC is integrated in this rom!
Do not install other kernels, you will broke compatibility because ramdisk is diferent in curent kernel!
Do not report bugs if you modified curent rom, or you have installed something from another rom!!!
Mising thing, need help for MIUI Anti Spam apk (application for blocking calls and messages)! I allready patched them but getting force closes because unknown firewall service. If you have idea about missing service you can try to get it working. Here is patched AntiSpam.apk -> http://d-h.st/47n

Kernel already there in ROM if you need CWM extract from zip and flash using FASTBOOT.
Otherwise you can install directly in CWM (If you have)

Ok...short feedback - it is stockrom, stable, it is fast enough, has root-app from miui and all things in phone work. :good:
Just Flash now ... and my feedbacks is
1. its true overclock 1.15 ghz.. WOW
2. features in MIUI which i love the most. No Need for Antivirus Apps though..
3. i use speedy droid v2 to debloate useless apps. since its stock rom, and wallaah its super smooth!!!!!!
4. test the antutu stability test. and the graph reports stable..
5. no bugs so far i found.. just one fc (after i installed it the timescape app force close i dnt care though) but after that no fc's..
