I thought it was about time we had a thread for UK release dates and pre orders, both rumours and anything confirmed.
I endeavour to keep this first post up to date with any info contained within the thread, so you should in theory be able to look at the first post rather than go through the whole thread.

Majority of places - and all places today, now that Asus announced US release dates - say that it will not arrive in Europe before 2012.
When it comes to the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe, it appears we will not be able to play with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime before Christmas, as the device will not release in Europe until sometime in January 2012.

That's not quite true.
All these blogs use the same source, which was obviously wrong.
The source said, the Prime would be released in the US on december 8. Which is wrong too.
So the other information may be wrong too.
Still hoping for a this years release in germany...
i dont know about asus, but samsung releases are often earlier in europe than in the US! still hoping .....

Incorrect, Asus spokesperson stated that it will be released early January in Europe. 1st of December was the announcement of US release dates by the very same person, where the 12 and 19 december came (online and retail dates). Web is all over it.
January being the release date in Europe is currently most accurate out of all estimations. That might change, but for now that is the most accurate one.

Nobody knows that "spokesman", the only correct thing he said was the dec 1 for taiwan.
And ALL the internet has it from ONE source. So there's no real need to believe that.

Sign that!
But this proves how stupid ASUS is in that case. Cause currently this news spreads all over.
Meaning people get upset and maybe cancel their preorders / buying other tablets.
So I can't understand why they don't say anything att all! At least something like: sorry we really don't know yet.
All Asus Germany says all the time is: we can not give a statement.
Asus on their UK facebook page as still officially saying early January 2012 for the Prime. They seem well aware of how desirable it would be to get it out before Christmas ideally though. Also, the only model confirmed is the 32GB version with the bundled keyboard dock for £499.

Same as in Sweden. Early January 2012. And only the Champagne 32gb+keyboard package. They will eventually release more versions when they can meet the demands. But for starter they focus on the China and USA market and ships all tablets there.
And once again Europe is left outside and have to wait :/
And that's is from Asus Sverige

I spoke to Asus UK today and they are still saying 16/12/11. It would be nice to have an official release date announced rather than a phonecall or email giving me a release date.

I wish! Just don't see it coming out so soon - gut feeling nothing else. Anyhows, I've subscribed to the thread so I can pre-order asap.
Silverwings ask them to put it in writing as everyone I've seen who works for Asus will only commit to an early to mid Jan 2012 release date.
http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?p=2884857
for example.
Asus UK emailed me and told me it would not be released in the UK until January 2012.
Clove, Expansys and Amazon UK have all declined to comment on when they are expecting to have it available for pre-order. These emails were all received yesterday.
Zoro25 - I do actually have an email from them now stating 16th Dec but is that the date its being announced, or sold to the reseller or available to buy as a consumer? Your guess is as good as mine!
A copy of the email for what its worth:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Asus support UK.

Hi, Can you tell me please when the TF201 Asus Transformer Prime will be announced and sold in the UK? I see that the USA are getting it early Dec, is it the same in the UK? Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Yep as you said it reads to me like 16th dec is uk release date for going in sale.
Let's hope its true.
A lot of places have said that Asus has rushed this to market to be first with tegra3 and has therefore messed up marketing and communication channels.
At the moment it seems that no one in their business knows what its happening.
Even the us release date is up in the air

In France, we have the same blurry statements.
One web retailler (tablette-store) announces an early january release when another (ldlc.com) has opened pre-orders for sending on december, 26th (too bad for Santa !).
Only FNAC (big stores in france and online) has opened pre-orders stating "avalable on dec, 16th". In my order status, they even say "sendin on dec, 15th". But some french bloggers seems to think that fnac is bluffing to get the early adopters.
I know both our markets are a bit different (with our azerty keyboards... ) but here are my 2 cents !

I sincerely hope that this price point turns out to be incorrect - Even accounting for a bundled keyboard dock, we would be paying about $200 more than our friends across the pond.
the next obvious question of course is, once it's in country. where can we buy said item? I have money to plonk down.
499 GBP for 32gb with dock is a great price. Take in cosideration that prices stated in the US is without tax. When it comes to sweden, it will land on approx 570 GBP with the dock.
Here in Lithuania we have 3 online shops stating they will be recieveing it on Dec 22nd as well.
I ordered from amazon on the 19th.
My delivery estimate is January 26th - February 9th.
I assume my prime has to ship with ICS.
no one will confirm.
Probably not, but why should it matter? You should be able to update it right away..
Here's a quote from their fb site:
In a post on Facebook the company announced that "it would begin rolling out the latest version of the Android OS to its flagship tablet starting January 12th."
Like you I've got my pre-order delivery scheduled on the 26th, I'm very optimistic that it will come with the ICS.

The biggest reason I would want to know is it could close the exploit that was used to root the Prime.
So now that ICS is out for the G9, does anyone know when we can expect to see the upgrade to the G9 series. I had heard that as soon as ICS launched, the new upgraded tablets would launch as well. Does anybody know if there is any truth to that? Would we see a State side release after it is released in Europe or would they launch at the same time?
I've got mine pre-ordered on amazon UK and they're saying it will be delivered by 11 April.
I'm not sure how reliable amazon release estimates are though.
So, let's say it is true and it does come out on the 11th in Europe... would that mean it would come out on the 11th in the US as well or does it usually take a while for products from Archos to get released in the US after they launch in Europe?
Ive just saved enough money for the WiFi version and wnet to the Sony site to buy it and now theres no mention of it. You can only buy tye Lte version for £579. Is it sold out or have they scrapped it? Also the release date has been pushed back a week for the Lte version.
strange
Hey there,
I actually ordered thevwifi version myself back in april.
It was expected to ship on the 27th of May. Then I received an email on the 26th saying that due to "unfortunate" delay they are expected to ship on the 5th of June.
I called sony and they told me that it is probably a problem of availability..... I was pissed off on the fact that I ordered it about 2 months before the shipment period.
Yet I am starting to think that they are actually trying to push the LTE version more on the pre sales hence why they removed it from the pre orders page ans replaced it with the LTE version.
But I still cannot believe why would every tablet delivery should be delayed instead of just starting to ship those which are already available. It can only lead me to assume there is some fault with them or they want to install further stuff and reship them to the UK.
Either way it is very strange from sony... Any other opinions on the matter or anyone who knows more??
Not sure whats going on as its not available to buy at all on the sony uk website now. Could be to do with Microsoft and preinstalled office apps which was in the news lately. Fed up with it so i bought a 128gb surface 3 with keyboard for the same price as the lte z4 tablet. Im a Sony fan and absolutely everything electronic i own is by them (PC/z3 tablet/smartwatch 3/z3 phone/ps4/Headset etc but ive had enough now, year after year with promised release dates then it gets knocked back and support getting worse. Switching to MS now.
Actually I called them again yesterday and they confirmed to me that the wifi version is sold out that is why it has been temporarily removed from the website.
Thanks, they could have made people aware on the website, after all being sold out is something to brag about!
Europeans who have yet to buy the phablet will be able to do that in by late November, a Samsung official stated recently.
As much as I want to don't think I'll hold out that long. I can handle Oct but we will see I hope the reports are wrong
Me too cause i sold my S6 i thought to get it in september. But sempteber seems to be just for recall's and i hoped for a eary october release...
Now they say end of November wich is crazy cause im using a galaxy S4 wich i borrowed from a friend and its horrible compared to my S6 and i have to charge it like 5x a day and its wifi isnt working so end of November is a no go for me eather early October or im thinking of S7edge or One+3
It looks like your post is now possibly incorrect, it has now been confirmed that the release date for the Note 7 in the UK is October 28th, I imagine this would be the same for the other major economies of Europe. This tallies up too with the pre-order I made with Carphone Warehouse, they also stated 28th October a few days back.
Here is an article that is now reporting that Samsung have announced an official date for the UK, i expect more related articles will pop up shortly.
http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/samsung-galaxy-note-7-new-uk-release-date-exchange
Ye dates change every day Imo a lot of copy&paste journalism at the moment :/ Ant a lot of them write **** without proof. All those S7E burning up too, about that new N7 burning up in China... And now this EU release date. Anyway I preordered on AUG17 in EU and should get it on OCT4... if I'am not getting I'am going to user rights and suing the **** out of Samsung and my seller...
SAMMOBILE said 28 october
even so, 28 october is still damn far
probably voadafone, orange and others will take most of them and the leftovers will be available for the public

Link? Sales in Korea start October 1st. I'd expect sales in the U.S. to resume as soon as the initial exchanges are fulfilled - let's say the first or second week of October. End of November sounds kind of inaccurate for a market as important as the EU. Of the 2.5M phones "sold" a large portion never left the distribution channel. Meaning they were never opened and put in consumer's hands. Apparently Samsung's x-raying those phones to inspect their batteries and if good they'll be redistributed. I think mine's one of those because its build date was 9/7 in Korea and the box had been opened and resealed twice. If 1M of the unopened recalled phones can be determined safe and put back in the retail channel than getting inventory on the market should be fairly quick.
