Wondering if there will be a WTop update attached to this or at least a current WTop source release. The funny thing is my service manager saw THIS and cursed Samsung all day. ICS MoPho will be one more thing I can pick on him about.
I hope they keep webtop, but with ics using the 3.0 kernel I see 11.10 in our future officially. Thats going to be one sweet update.

Absolutely nothing. Just a bunch of bored dudes starting threads obviously. I'm sure the photon will see ics. Just not anytime within the next month or 2 is my guess. I think we'll see an official build by Feb (maybe) hopefully no later than march. Again, this is me guessing lol
Actually I have an inside source that says the engineers for the photon began ics work. But you know that doesn't mean much.

Probably because the X2 community is so small. The bigger the community is, the more likely you get whiners and trolls. I love this forum. We dont get much of that in here. Unless Melvin pops up.

I am sure that I will get flamed for this but for my family this will not only save us money but with two teenage daughters on the family plan and me and my wife the unlimited minutes is a good thing...although we don't have unlimited data

I know this is getting a little old to see on here but I thought I would just pass on the news. One of casual members over at atrix 2 forum found an ics leak using cheesecake for the att version of the phone just a few days ago yesterday Jim posted how to properly flash the new update(leak) of ICS.
Here's why I know we will get the update. The atrix 2 was one of the most currently under appreciated android device to come from Motorola in awhile. No advertisement. Just simply came out. The photon may have been out a few months longer but its resell value is still higher than the atrix 2 and has sold far more than the atrix 2. Please don't doubt Motorola on the ics updates. It will come out and it feels like only a matter of weeks or month before someone here finds a leak using cheesecake or some other method. Keep your chins up

Actually I just checked and it seems they released the latest source code about 3 weeks before the OTA went live so maybe we'll get lucky.
Atrix*2* will have the update sooner, because it's OMAP device, like razor, bionic, droid4... It's easy to make it, if you have it already for one of them. ;-)

So far for this being the first leak for the att atrix 2 its running flawlessly. The bug report thread for the build has not reported any major bug so far. So for just a leak Motorola did a great job with ics this ics. And did one of you say earlier that source was released? Were you talking about the tegra2?

And HTC wonders why their profits fall as they forget about flagship phones, first 4G phone, first HD 720p phone, etc...if u can't keep those updated then why keep buying from your company? HTC better redesign their business model or bye bye. Even Motorola is only gonna slightly theme on top of Google updates so they can update within 3 months of a new release. With the Bionic getting OTA 4.0 and Razr getting OTA 4.1.2 shows that HTC is slowly digging their own grave. They are always late or deliver an incomplete update that breaks something that needs and update to fix it. HTC flyer comes to mind....they broke it with update then simply walked away like a child who broke something acted like it never happened.

Posts like these bother me. The phone got ICS months ago and now peopel are whining like little babies, "I WANT JELLY BEAN! HTC SUCKS!" HTC IS FAILING!"
To be honest I probably won't get another HTC device in 2013 when I upgrade, but I'm not whining about my Rezound either. I paid a mere $60 for it 3 months after it was released.

I don't think the Rezound was meant to be a flagship in HTC and Verizon's eyes. It was just a device to have something to sell near the holidays and was never too popular sadly.

If this is how u feel then why ever update the phone past what it comes equipped with. You are missing the entire point I was trying to make. This is hands down a better device than the Razr but is being held back by HTC that would rather build new phones than update them. My last 3 phone have been HTC, my next will be the X phone. If my thread bothers u so much to bad, it was a news update and opinion from me, we still have free speech....for now anyways.
