I have friends who want to show me videos but the network won't allow the upload of large videos (I'm not talking about shareing movies I promise) we share videos for my Xbox clan and stuff like that xD but trying to email them just doesn't work. Is there an app that will allow them to upload and that I could view it?I'm not looking for a youtube uploader or even a Facebook just Idk something I could get into and upload a video then they could upload and view mine and I could view theirs. XD anyone have any ideas on how or what app I could use?

Well, this might not be the intended use for this app but from the description it might just do in your case:
1. Recording starts and stops in the background
2. Record with front or back camera

Thanks for the help but my Nexus won't open link right now have to try PC tomorrow....

A little backround info about the youtube app for the Evo 3D: If you download youtube from google play(doesn't matter if you're rooted or not), it will not play HD(High Definition) video; only HQ(High Quality). If you haven't noticed already, HQ isn't really much different than the normal video. The reason it doesn't play HD is that our device's screen is not technically considered an HD screen because of the pixel density(Evo 3D is qHD:960X540 HD is 1280X720). However, HD videos play fantastically on our device, so Google fails for not allowing youtube to upscale to HD. Fortunately, there's a fix for this. For those of you who want youtube videos to play in 720p HD(not sure why you wouldn't...), instead of crappy HQ, I have a working apk attached. Simply download, put on your sd card, and install like you would any other third party apk, and if you have youtube installed already, or if it came embedded in your rom, just say ok or yes when it asks if you want to replace the system app. I've installed it myself and tested it, and there are no weird bugs, glitches, discoloring, missing lines, cut off portions, weird aspect ratio, etc. It works flawlessly, and any video shot in HD looks crystal clear. Came from beneath-a-burning-turtle's Common Sense 1.7 rom, so thank him, not me.
Wow! What a difference! I thought that the video quality could have been better on YouTube. Now it is. WAY better! Thanks allot!

Great find man, appreciated.
Big difference, I always wanted HD instead of HQ on my E3D. Works on Viper3D GSM.
Thanks
Hey this app seems familiar

Will this work on the Evo 4G or does it specifically have to be the 3VO?

Awesomeness! Working on MIUI. Just delete the YouTube app in system/app and install normally.

I see no reason why it wouldn't, it's just an apk. Give it a try, if it doesn't work, uninstall it and re-install the one from the play store
Niiiiiice.

Here's my problem.
Once I downloaded it and tried to install it, it gave me an error message saying that the install was not done because a package with the same name already exists.
How do I get past this? Also, how can you move to card after download, but before install? Do you need a pc for that (which I am not by at the present)?

You need to delete the original from system/app, then put the HD one in, and make sure the permissions are set right (rw-r--r--) I recommend using root explorer, its a dollar or two on the market, but its worth it

Go to settings>security and make sure unknown sources is checked then try again. If it says 'this will replace a system app do you still want to install?' click ok and it should install, if not uninstall the youtube that's already on your device, if you can't then just root your phone.
Will I still be able to play 3d YouTube videos using this?

I believe so, yes. If not, just uninstall it and install the one from the market

Just updated my wife's EVO 4g LTE and noticed that the Video Chat option is gone. WTH is Sprint doing?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
I noticed this too, when I tried to download it on my wife's and it was missing. I still had mine installed but said wasn't compatible with my phone. I just uninstalled it and we'll be using Google+ video chat from now on.
Why not just use google talk

What about the Tango app?
I uploaded directly to YouTube from my S5, and it looks awful. In gallery, it looks great. I recorded it in 1080P. I made sure HD was on in YouTube, and I searched the settings high and low for a quality setting, but nothing. What gives??

How horrible? It won't look as good as on your phone because YouTube compresses everything and is limited to 30 fps

There's definitely a big difference. I played it back on my phone and TV and it's not nearly as good as the original quality

Idk about other places but I do believe you have to wait for HD when uploading to youtube. Since they process every video so it can play in 240p all the way up to whatever resolution you upload at.
