Dude Im CDMA but from the sounds of your issue is kernel related find another kernel.....
Do I use fastboot through command prompt or clockwork recovery?
always flash through recovery if possible. and like the other fellow said, you need a new kernel/ROM combo... one of them is not compatible with the other, or your kernel wifi driver/module combination is not functional.
Hi all i know there is plenty of posts about this but im new to the Evo 3D, im going to be getting one off a friend, he says its suffering from SoD (sleep of death) im looking for a way to return it to stock ICS, i have never used FASTBOOT before but have had 2-3 other android devices that i have rooted and been installing custom roms ect on so know basics just looking around the Evo seems a bit more complicated, he says the device is s-off'd and has CWM Recovery installed but as i said i have no idea how to use the Evo yet so all help will be appreciated
again what i want to do is return the UK EVO 3D GSM to STOCK ICS
Thanks in advance
sorry for the bump but had to update, he says he did a data, cache and dalvik wipe and SoD issue has gone, its running GB (gingerbread) device has been S-OFF'd it has v1.49.1107 hboot installed no idea on what raido is installed. what steps need to be done to install official ICS and root it or can anyone recommend a good Sense-less (hate htc's Sense UI) ICS rom with root access
Run a stock ruu should do it
hit the thanks button uf i helped

I just bought a EVO LTE flashed to boost mobile. I want to s-off so I can flash the new JB firmware... I am wondering if anyone has achieved s-off with their flashed phone with ill results? I am hesitant because i currently own an evo 3d, and when s off finally came out for the 3d, it completely erased my flash to boost, and I had to get the phone reflashed... Before I attempt this, I want to make sure it is not gonna mess up my flash like it did on my 3d... anyone have any experience?
anybody? I know for evo 3d users, even ones who were on sprint had issues after s off and had to get their phones re programmed. Has anybody experienced any issues after s off? boost or sprint?
I think the phone would have to be s-off to flash to boost in the first place so are you sure it is really s-on? Maybe it has the s-on spoof bootloader. How would you s-on a phone and still maintain boost mobile? Also I believe if you try and s-off you will end up on sprint
A few people used the dirty racoon and it resets your phone to the sprint network

thanks for the replys... I checked the bootloader, and it says its locked, and s on... guess Ill have to wait until I can flash JB from a custom recovery

Definitely after updating to Jelly Bean you will have to get you phone reflashed to boost. Mms will likely be borked at the least if not re flashed to boost. Had that issue on my 3d

Iwonder, cause when I upgraded from GB to ICS I didnt have any problems with my flash, other than having to change the mms url
Anyone tried to s off their flashed phone yet?

Howdy, so I am already S-off'd and rooted running an ICS rom on my VM Evo V 4g. As of now MMS is iffy and 4G does not work to my knowledge. I've been out of the loop for a few months and was wondering what I need to do to catch up on the custom advancements.
I think I need to:
Flash a new radio firmware?
Fix MMS?
Fix 4G?
Can anyone give me a lowdown on what I should get caught up with in regards to those 3 topics? What do I need to do to have absolutely everything working correctly on a custom rom?

You can try flashing to stock rooted to fix mms and 4g wimax but on aosp roms and custom roms, 4g doesn't work!
Well, it's been awhile since I messed around with this phone, but my end goal is to be able to put CM10.1 on here. However, I have wiped pretty much everything clean and formated it all. I still have 4EXT so I can flash all I want, but nothing seems to go past the boot screen. I have a hunch if I started out with the original ROM, a rooted version that I can move forward from there. I've tried a stock/rooted ICS rom, just sits at the Sprint Screen, Gangnam style used to run just fine but now just spins on the CyanogenMod boot screen. I think it's issues with the kernel (?) so I want to start from scratch...but I'll be damned if I can't seem to find any Gingerbread roms anymore. Any thoughts are appreciated.

None of the sense 3.0 threads have active links in them. Can anyone provide me with an active link to a stock/rooted or close to stock rom?
Scratch that, I don't need a Gingerbreak rom...managed to get CM10.1 running from an empty slate on HBoot 1.50 with S-ON. How about them apples.
