I think the title self explains itself, I've seen references to 'spyder razr' and 'razr'.I know that the verizon one is the droid razr xt912 and the motorola razr is the gsm/world xt910, but i get confuse when i saw the fastboot files to some spyder razr on the dev section.(would have posted there but i'm new here).
I am a razr user from brazil, and would like to have a sbf file to start flashing roms
I'm pretty sure it was just one of the pre-release codenames for the razr as any information on it is dated and points to the same device that the razr is. I could be wrong though.
No difference..the factory names was spyder. But when it was finished they decided to name it a Razr.
He is your "sbf" i believe it is fastboot files

Yours is the first one. Have fun flashing

Yes, spyder is the code name.
Like OG was sholes, X was shadow, bionic is targa, etc...
It's how they will be listed on the CM nightly page as well.

interesting very.
Thank you all!!!

Here's my dilemma, I just went out and bought myself a Motorola milestone x2 which I have through a local provider. I believe this phone is the same if not very similar to the Droid x2. My problem is the fact I got it with the android version 2.3.5 and can't root with any sort of one click root off my computer. The plan is to sbf back to android version 2.2 or 2.3.3 but am not sure if I can use the Droid x2 files contained on this site and don't wanna turn the phone into an expensive paperweight so any input would be great. I've search for earlier versions of the milestone x2 but only can find phones w a slide out keyboard n don't wanna chance it.

have you tried zergRUSH supposed to work on 2.3.5

Yes I have v1-v3 actually. Everything seems to work fine until it gets to the point of writing su and busybox to the phone, claims everything is read only. my phone will restart while the program says I'm rooted but I'm not

you should hop on the irc channel. people there that might be able to help real time... not sure how busy it is tonight though

I would try to find specific files for that phone. There seem to be significant differences between the Milestone and the X2. I would check over at androidforums.com, they have a few milestone forums, but nothing for "milestone x2." Can't quite find that phone anywhere actually. I'm almost 100% that the x2 sbf file won't work properly if you flash it on that phone.
Thats odd..I had the choice between this and the htc merge...went with this because of the duel core, 1ghz processor and bigger screen..plus I had some problems with htc phones in the past. I wouldn't have figured this would be so difficult to root

It is not.
Phone info and box both say Milestone x2.
Same specs as the droid x2 as same visual.
I really can't find any info on the phone online..a lil here or a little there with little to no responses about it.
Its very odd
To the op: could you post a screen shot of your system version thru build # on the about phone screen in portrait mode(or post the equivalent)? It could be you could try update.zipping the latest 1.3.413 of 235 found here in the "cheesecake" thread. You would do it from stock recovery and if it let you do it it might be the safest venture. Not recommending it as yet though.
Is this the phone ur refering to http://www.cellcom.com/device.html?id=247&categoryid=1
It looks like a replica of the droid x2 spec wise
Here a pic in the about phone settings

Looking at it now it seems that this is just a renaming of the phone for smaller service providers.

Well here was to wishful thinking. Thanks for checking.
The phone wont work if he tries to update SBF with the droid x2s.. He wont be able to call n such.... The baseband will change and so will his PRLs....
The update.zip SHOULDN'T work on your device due to needed apk checks... you could try to edit it and remove the kernel flashes... that would be your best bet.
Well I'm hopefully meeting up with someone tomorrow before work who has the same phone and provider whose rooted..will post back with what I can
Sent from my Milestone X2 using XDA App
kool kool man... keep the REFs and Mods seperate till they become tested fully. They should ALL work because none of the mods so far flash the kernel, but still be careful because(TO MY KNOWLEDGE) we don't have a SBF for that phone. And It would suck balls if your baseband n stuff got flashed over.
Just post in the OPs that its for the Milestone x2 and one of the guys will index it for you in the stickies. Also, PM me when you get it rooted, and flash another rom. I need to see if something changes if you dont mind.
Is the sbf for the RAZR going to be released anytime soon?
I would really like root access to stay playing with this device, but will not proceed until I have a recovery method.

android 2.3.5 sbf is already leaked: more info on this thread
[edit]
sorry, i noticed you need DROID Razr sbf (Verizon USA), non Razr (Europe no brand). No sbf is available
I think you posted on the wrong forum. Motorola is who you want to ask.

I just got the Maxx, love it. The problem with the plain Razr forum is every other article is about turning the plain Razr into the Maxx or how people are mad about the Maxx coming out so soon after the plain Razr. I just want to read about the Razr Maxx....

The Verizon devices are the same - battery is the only diff
i think we only need one thread
What he said. It's the same device aside from the extended battery. Once we find a source for the necessary conversion parts, it'll just be like any other extended battery; an accessory that in no way changes the fundamental nature of the device.

It would be nice. I have a MAXX as well, and although its the pretty much the same as the regular RAZR, there is a mix of other RAZR devices from other regions on here.
If not mistaken, even the ROM is the same.

That's true, no change that anyone has found, md5's are the same for the update file.
If anything were to be separated, it would be the CDMA Verizon RAZR and the international GSM RAZR, unless of course they're eventually found to be the same, like with the Rezound.

There is another great Razr site that separates the forum in that manner but to my understanding mentioning other sites is forbidden.

Except of course you would be voiding your warranty as the back/battery is supposed to not be removable.

From what I gather, they don't mind if we link to DroidRZR or mention it, we just shouldn't disrespect or discredit XDA when doing so.
There's really no point. Wherever you're from, and whatever the size of your battery it's the same OS, same Blur version, etc... The ONLY difference is the battery...

Razr XT910 is GSM (for Europe)
Razr XT912 is CDMA (for USA)
Razr MAXX coming in both versions, the only difference is in the battery,it have 3300mAh unlike those above, they have 1780 mAh.
Razr MAXX HD is a completely different phone, you have a different thread for it.

My phone automatically started downloading the jb 4.1 update, I read the jb update only brings poor performance.
I am trying to make it stop downloading but no matter what I do it still downloading.
I have tried disconnecting data, and force closing an up called updater(which stops the download for a short time but it relaunches itself in a few seconds) and the disable option isn't available for that app.
Please help me out
