[Q] How to change 9100g logo to 9100 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi i have got I9100G firmware 2.3.6 and i want to flash this to my I9100 samsung galaxy s2 model but i know if i glash 9100g firmware at the boot up process the logo shows as I9100G so to avoid this logo what should i do.

I can't find a reason for what kind of person would do this, the only reason that they want to do this is if they want to scam a person and sell the device as an I9100 and not an I9100G device.

You'll have a nice brick.

As Intratech said, you wont have to worry about any logo problem if you do that. Your phone will be bricked, forget about the logo. Download I9100 firmware, its out now in India.

This could work but I'm not responsible for any bricks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136699
But seriously: Why do you want to do this?

I tried it.. Not working. Maybe because of the kernel problem which brings up the error yellow triangle during normal boot.

yeh how can I change logo from I9100G to "I9300 SIII" pretty please?

I Tried To reset But No Use Its Hang on andriod logo CAn i use Different PDA On My Galaxy S2
Good lord, dude. You give next to no details on what specific phone you have beyond the fact you have a "Galaxy S2", and are expecting someone to tell you what to flash to it. From the wikipedia article, I count nearly a dozen COMPLETELY different models of phones that are called Galaxy S2, and TWO that are similarly modeled, (GT-I9100, and GT-I9100G) but different enough that if you flash a firmware intended for one onto the other, you end up with a paperweight.
First things first: what the heck model phone do you have? It's on the label under the battery.
If (and ONLY IF) your model is "GT-I9100" (NOTE: NO "G" AT THE END), then follow the link that JJEgan posted. There are instructions in the first post. You can probably use the latest firmware in post #2.
If your model is something else (ANYTHING that starts with "SGH-"), than you are in the wrong forum, and DO NOT flash anything you get from any postings under the I9100 forum.

Model: GT-i9100, SSN: i9100GSMH, soft brick??

Hi All,
Noob here with what I think is a soft brick issue.
Under the battery it says Model: GT-i9100, SSN: i9100GSMH
Originally Gingerbread, then I upgraded to 4.03 via official Kies firmware release.
Couple of days ago tried to upgrade to 4.04 using ODIN and got a fail at factoryfs.img. probably used the wrong firmware.
Could still get into download mode at that stage, but can't anymore. I tried to install a couple of different firmware versions of 4.04. I can still get 'added' when I connect to ODIN though.
Can somebody please help me to upgrade to either 4.04 or Jellybean? I'm willing to go fully custom, just don't know how to do it....Can I do it with ODIN? Do i need a new kernel or pit or something?
Thanks heaps, look forward to any help.
Cheers,
Jackson

He does NOT have the I9100G model.
If he had the I9100G model, it would say:
Model no: GT-i9100G
SSN: i9100GGSMH
I am also have same doubt...Please confirm Is It I9100 or I9100G?.

Are your asking about his phone, or your own?
This has been answered multiple times in multiple threads. It will say "GT-I9100G" as model number if it is a G model. Otherwise it will only say "GT-I9100".

Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 4GLTE (SHVE210S)
there is no i9300 LTE. if you flashed the firmware for the i9300, you've most probably killed your device.
boot into download and flash a stock rom FOR YOUR PHONE

This is an old post and i dont whether you were able to fix it all not.
I replied to this because am facing a similar problem (searched and found your post).
But i want to tell you that you posted at the wrong place so am sure people didnt see your post.
If you are still interested, you can check your firmware model for sammobile.com or the official GT-S5830i thread.
Thanks
