Its possible install the MIUI camera app on a locked Atrix?
If yes where i get the apk of the camera ?

This one worked for me, but I'm on the Neutrino ROM. Don't know if it will work on stock.

It works on CM7 PreFinal. Great app, much better than the one included with the ROM.
It will not work on stock.locked.

No, that's the major disadvantage of the MIUI cam. No front camera support.

you can use alternatives like Camera360 or Camera zoom fx

I'm honestly thinking of switching up the camera apk from CM7.2 to the stock rom one. Is that possible?

That would be a great idea. I prefer the stock rom camera app, we could also use flash when recording video and the stock panorama was great!

Finally, i found and answer to that problem hehe, i was beginning to think it was only me with this camera zoom issue, and as cool as it is this camera app, it just doesn't work as expected, no zoom, no on/off button for taking pictures, etc. hehe, is there a way to take out the original camera apk from a stock rom and put it in cyanogenmod?

Lol.. I made a thread asking that. No its not possible. Then you'd have to edit the framework.apk or something and switch up a whole bunch of things in order to make the stock one work in CM7.
I had stock camera app working on cm7 you will actually also need to install all the samsung apps

Uhm ... then it just doesn't worth it, i have installed cyanogenmod to get rid of samsung stuff, so, i guess i will continue to testing camera 360, and i will seriously consider to get camera zoom fx, to see what can i do with this apps ...

If you want a simple decent camera go for lgcamera... if you want an amazing camera with lots of features go for Camera 360 or Camera ZoomFX....

i know that dude its also my favourite but we can't use in cynogenmod based roms thats why i'm asking
Hdr camera+ for its super detailing quality...n camera360 for its enhancements...

Use Stock camera from GingerBread. It has simplistic 'point-and-shoot' feature. I liked it most over all available apps in Market. The results are fast and good.

lgcamera is very simple and also has flash enabled when taking video. Highly recommended.It comes in free and paid version. Worths the money...go for it!!!

In my opinion, clarity wise Camera ZoomFX would be a better choice...
I found an app that works with 4.2.2 custom ROm of Cynogenmod .. its called Silent Camera. it's free but its got ads. Most importantly it works and it saves pictures
Which camera works with that app? Front? Back? Both?

I am the using the 3.0 Kernal with. Cynogen's 10.1 Row of 4.2.2
you guys do realize everyone knows fastburst camera app works and has been mention at least dozens of times on this forum, just saying

OK simple question. I prefer the old aosp camera (the one with the full screen viewfinder) rather than the Google camera. All the 4.4.4 ROMs have the same Google camera. Will the old camera work on 4.4.4? If so, does anyone have a good link. Any googling I do directs me to the new camera. Thanks in advance.

Any 4.4.4 rom you flash should already come with the camera, meaning if you flash Liquidsmooth 3.2 the 4.4.4 or Mahadi Rom it self installs the camera, the one I see on those roms is the full screen camera. What rom are you using? If anything download those roms and pull the camera out of the zip and install.
I know custom roms can never have the camera quality as the stock roms, but is there any camera app that's better than the camera app on Lineage? The front camera as awfully laggy and dark.

You can download various camera apps from Playstore. If that does not suits you, try this. I tried it out myself about a month ago. There were bugs, like facial recognization not working, pics not saving to gallery, very limited pro mode. But I believe you can try it out yourself.
