[Q] Gestures - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Does the Prime have gesture control? When I swipe down on the screen the settings keep popping up.. is there any way to disable this?

Mine doesn't do that? Are you using the stock launcher ?

Dude what are you smoking you must be hitting the notification bar in the bottom corner lol

Doh.. forgot to mention I am using ADW Launcher. Found the gestures setting.. All good now.

"Pick it, pack it
Fire it up, come along..."
Sorry, I had to!

What he said. I'm using a combination of ADW Launcher EX and CircleLauncher
Your main screen will look like this:
The icons you see on the top left and bottom right are CircleLauncher. When i tap them they open up the predefined app selection of my choosing. You have the choice of a circle, horizontal or vertical style.
Another neat thing on the ADW Launcher EX is that you can use the swipe up and down gesture to preform actions. For example swipe down opens my Notifications Bar and swipe up opens my Apps Drawer.
Hope you find what you need.
Here's mine ADW

I like Adw. It's simple clean and fast. Not sure if I will upgrade to the paid version since a lot of reviews are have force close issues. Are you getting any?

Personally i have never had a force close on my 3D. On my 4G I did have a couple force closes but it didn't bother me as much. Try out the free version for a couple days to get the feel of it. If you feel generous afterwards you can "donate" to the owner instead of "buying" it, that's how I looked at it. Good luck!

The same thing can be accomplished with Launcher Pro as well.
+1 for ADW. I hide the notification bar and get rid of the launcher. Here is a link to my setup. I've made some changes lately but you can get the general idea. Swipe down opens the notifications and swipe up opens the app drawer...

Any of you tried wave launcher? I love that... Another great option if you ditch the dock. And you can use it from anywhere from any app
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Yeah, ADW does exactly what you're looking for, here's another image to add to the pile on this thread =p
What my home screen looks like (click for full size):
You can also set an optional 'hidden' dock that comes up on a specified gesture (for example, if I flick upwards I get my appdrawer, phone and ADW settings).
Tried wave launcher. Wasn't feeling it. Settled on circle launcher. Advanced settings go for deep customization.
With auncher pro i could never find out how to hide dock. Anyways to much work if they can't just add a simple setting to hide it. Shame cause I want it for the gmail widget plus glass sense glass theme.
Only bad think about Adw is the app drawer lags when opening and really bad scrolling. Not much of an issue once I have my screens setup. Never need to use it.

[Q] CM7 bottom status/app bar fascinate

I'm curious about the bottom app bar were the app drawer and other chosen apps are if u slide ur finger up from the soft buttons the icons disappear or whole bar disappears and if u slide back down twards the soft button it reappears is there a reason or use besides the clean screen look?
Unsure of reason but its hard to get it to come back.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
You can turn that off in the settings. It's ADWLauncher's hidden dock bar.
Thanks not sure y but I was doing it often not sure I understand the function of that setting but I'm glad I can disable it
It allows you to have a second launch bar, you can put icons in the blank space when you slide up the dockbar

GoLauncher EX For Tablet?

Anyone have the solution to completely removing the dock bar for GoLauncher Ex? Im able to hide it but that space is unusable by widgets therefore making it impossible to center widgets.
i've been trying the same thing and i think we have to wait for new golauncher ex release with tablet optimizations

I'm in the same boat, can't figure it out. It's kinda odd with all the options it has there is none for removing it or moving it around.

GO Launcher Dock Orientation
Hi,
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option to move the dock from the vertical to horizonal position. But I do have a somewhat fix for.
Hold your finger down on the app drawer icon and drag it to the home screen to create basically a shortcut
Open the GO Launcher 'Preferences'
Go to 'Gesture Settings'
Open 'Glide down action'
Choose 'GO Launcher shortcut'
Choose 'Show/Hide dock bar'
Go back to the Home screen and slide your finger down to hide the dock
You can still access your app draw using the shortcut you created.
I've downloaded the Honeycomb GO Launcher theme so the icon has the same look as Honeycomb's default icon for the app drawer. I've also Held my finger down on the shortcut to the app drawer and clicked rename and removed the text "Appdrawer' and left it blank.
I hope this helps some people.

Hey guys, I'm just posting some links from the nook color forum. The first will give you honeycomb buttons, and the other helps you setup your screen. These forums were helpfull when setting up my tablet, and if they help you, thank the develper in the forum!

How do you install and use this theme? I installed it, but it does not show in my app drawer. What am I doing wrong?
Look in your app drawer..Then look for Theme Chooser and select. That should do it for you.
You can find it in Theme choser. It's greyed out. It will say its the wrong size, do it anyways.

I did, and it worked, but I still have the "bar" at the bottom of my screen. How can I get rid of that bar so that it really looks like ICS?

That's an issue that goes above themeing. If anyone knows different let me know but as far as I've read this is about as close as you can get.

By "bar", I mean the bar that's in portrait mode. The one you have in phones and not tablets. The bar that has the phone icon on it.

Ate you talking about the dock? I don't know if you can turn that off in ADW, but I use ADW EX and you can turn it off with that. Other launchers may allow turning it off as well, but I can't name any.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I think he's talking about the bar that the buttons themselves are in. That you're stuck with as far as I know. We can get our tablets close to looking like CM9, but CM7 still has limits.
But some more fun things...
I'm using SPB shell 3d with a live wallpaper and I'm still getting good use out of the battery.
Normally SPB as cool as it looks is a resource hog, but I still have lots of free ram with the tablet.
I am including a screenshot showing what I am talking about.
It is the bar that has the app drawer and the phone icon

Look for an option in your launcher settings to hide the dock. I know ADW EX has that option. Not sure what you're using there.

In adw XL go to settings then themes and select no theme for dock bar.
To change the apps in the bar hold down on them, drag them out and add what you want.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
For the dock bar go to Settings -> Adw launcher -> UI settings -> main dock style. Just select "none"
Yeah, that dock is kinda out of place on a tablet. Just so you can still access your app drawer, just long click on the screen, select launcher action, and pick open/close app drawer. I put one on every screen so that the app drawer is always accessible.
thx,ICS theme is pretty cooooolllllllll
I had to switch back to ADW, and now I got rid of the dock completely.
I have a couple of requests still: How do I add the apps drawer as the guy had on the top right of his NT?
Another thing I would love to do: make the soft home button actually display the apps, as of now, it only pulls the home screen.

Long press on the home screen and select launcher actions. You can control what the home button does though ADW settings.

Notification screen

Anyone know if there's a setting where I can swipe down on the status bar and just get the notifications to show up? Everytime I swipe down I get the volume bars and the toggles so I have to swipe up to hide them. It's rather annoying
Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk
I think it's that way by design. I remember having a custom stock rom on my G3 that had that as an option but it's was never that way in the pure stock rom....
When you pull down, swipe the quick settings panel all the way to the left (at the right most option). You should see the quick settings edit button. Click that button and it will bring you to a check list. Uncheck brightness and volume
