You must have an account to login, which you can just create if you don't. Then go through the unlock process....very simple!!
Good Luck!
I unlocked mine but what can we do with it? I attempted to root.. still get access denied.. I guess it's better than nothing
Got mine unlocked. Finally ATT devices get unlocked bootloader. Now devices are ready for S-OFF and Permanent ROOT. If device get S-OFF you can install any kind of ROM to it and made device supercid.
BTW mine got from ATT and I hate that rom. Its a totally crap and slow. I try to update my device with the latest Rogers rom if device get S-OFF.
wait, what?
i couldnt see the jetstream in the list over at HTCDEV..what am i missing?
it's not on the list, but you can still go through with it
on my way. cheers.
on stage 8, CMD - all i get after the fastboot oem get_identifier_token line is "waiting for device"
what do i do?
edit: got it. installed htc sync which contains the proper USB drivers.
S-OFF'ed mine!
So whos going to get me a custom recovery and root =D?

How do I go back to out of the box stock? I flashed the new Ruu the other day, 2.11.605.0, and now my bootloader is locked.
So how do I fix it if I can't flash anything???

Have not done it yet, although I am wondering if DirtyFingers misunderstood my question.
What got me to this problem was BECAUSE of flashing the latest RUU, from here: http://www.droid-life.com/2011/08/2...ruu-leaked-version-2-11-605-0-of-gingerbread/
Soooo... how do I flash a file to fix it if my Bootloader is locked and I can't flash anything???

Read the whole page and the link to the full documentation. There are some prerequisites to running it. Mainly the HTC fastboot drivers for Windows that they provide on their documentation page. You also might need the Android SDK set up but I'm not sure about that.

you just take the sim card out put in another phone delete your 2.11 or put it in your downloads folder then put the sim card back in your phone and you should be able to get back to recovery. make sure you unmout the card before you take it out.
Had to use my cousin's (windows) computer but it worked.
Really PilotML? What is your bootloader version? I've tried revolutionary to unlock a bunch of times on my Gingerbread 2.3.4 device to no avail. I'm on the 605.9 bootloader and i'm thinking that is the problem.
I made the mistake of letting my phone update all the way after I purchased it last week and now I can't seem to root or unlock or anything and those 10000 verizon apps are driving me insane. : (
I have a rooted AT&T One X+ that I unlocked via HTCDev when I first got it and now run Elegencia. I'd like to update to the newest RUU (to get the radio/hboot/all the new stuff) before updating my phone again (running an older Elegencia version currently). I understand that running the RUU will wipe the SD card/phone/recovery/everything and bring me back entirely to stock and will relock the bootloader. My problem is that I don't have the unlock token from HTCDev anymore for the bootloader. Does anyone know if it's still possible to unlock the bootloader for an AT&T One x+ via HTCDev or did they close that loophole??? Or is there a way for me to recover the unlock token?
Thanks!
I want to do the same and from what I have read you can still unlock from HTCDev after updating.
The only thing I don't know is do you need to relock the bootloader before running the RUU?
I don't think you need to relock before running the RUU, it should do it itself I would think.
I've also done some more reading and I'm also wondering if it's really worth it....looks like you can flash the radio. May just pass on having to deal with unlocking/that whole thing again.

You have to relock bootloader and then you are able to run the ruu. If bootloader is unlocked and you try to run the ruu the setup will not complete and fail.
Have you tried to obtain the unlock.bin from the HTC website again since it was deleted?

No problem
This is where I got my unlock.bin to unlock my bootloader. The steps are very easy, Go here http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader and where it says "Select device" select 'Other supported models' and follow the on screen steps. Then they will email you your unlock.bin to unlock your bootloader
OK so I need to go through the process again, I thought there'd just be a way to get the bin file again without having to do it again, oh well.
Guess question becomes whether it's really worth it or not....
You can update the radio without having to lock your bootloader and be able to update roms

I am trying to help a friend who brought me his phone yesterday, I've searched everywhere and can't find anything that works. His phone is stock no root, it is locked and tampered with a security warning on 2.06. The RUU doesn't work because of 2.06. I can't get moonshine to work either. I can't get to recovery and I can push a recovery image either through adb. I'm out of ideas and figured the best place to go for help is the community. I can get fastboot and fastboot usb up but that's about as far as I can get. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for the reply. The device only boots to the white bootloader screen. Selecting factory reset or recovery simply takes me back to bootloader. If i try to just boot into the device it stays at the htc splash screen. Adb shows no devices attached but I can still issue fast boot commands through terminal. I've tried pushing a recovery to it without success.

How was the phone unlocked? If it was facepalm then I believe that the token that was emailed from htcdev should still unlock the phone.

That's the problem. He doesn't know. All I was told when I got it is that it was updating ota and booted this way. I don't know how that's possible but I took it anyway thinking it would be an easy fix. I s-offed my dna when it first came out so I had no issue. If I can't get a token is he sol? At least until a ruu ( maybe) comes out for 2.06

Can he contact whomever he bought the phone from to see if they have a token the he could use to unlock it? Any idea how he broke the phone in the first place? It should be pretty hard to do so if he wasn't rooted and it was locked...
I don't know of anything else to try other than someone once claimed that Verizon stores could RUU. I highly doubt it, but you could always ask and see.

Thanks! I work at verizon so I know we can't because our computers don't have recovery options any longer. I'll ask and see if I can get a token.
Hello all, I've just recently recovered my DNA back to stock from a botched ROM install on the 3.06 software. Prior to running the RUU, I used Rumrunner to unlock my bootloader to put CWM on as my recovery. Then I had to re-lock it to run the RUU. Now I'm stuck at re-unlocking it. The HTCdev site is giving me a MID not allowed error and I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that I used Rumrunner? Call me stupid, the DNA is still relatively new to me. Thank you!!
You shouldn't need to relock it to RUU. The RUU will overwrite your recovery with stock but the bootloader should remain unlocked (and s-off if you did that as well). At this point you should be able to just run rumrunner again to unlock the bootloader and then you can flash a custom recovery and go from there.

Tried doing Rumrunner again, Getting this error, "ERROR: run rumrunner again and READ (no adb connection to device. Debugging on?
Drivers?)" I've uninstalled the drivers via device manager, let windows 7 reinstall them and installed/uninstalled HTCsync with no luck.
Edit: Nevermind, tried a different cable. Hate it when that happens.
Edit 2: Rumrunner must have failed, device still relocked.

ADB Devices is a command issued from the command prompt. It should return the S/N of the device connected. If there is no response the drivers are not installed on the PC. If you are using Win 8 or 8.1 you will have issues

I did, sorry for not posting it here. I went and got a new cable from tiger direct and tried again. For some reason, the bootloader still says relocked but I have root access. I don't feel confident enough to try and see if CWM or TWRP and I don't want to go through the RUU garbage again. Shoot me a PM and I'll tell you everything what not to do. LOL

I have heard if you flash a new hboot the relocked text will go away, but I haven't had this issue myself so I can't personally confirm it. I do recommend updating your hboot and radio, though, for other reasons like better radio signal.

Updating the hboot and radio seems a little daunting. Definitely something I want to look in to once I can figure out how to get a ROM on this without calling a mulligan and starting from scratch again.

Adb is universal to all android devices, I highly recommend getting used to it if you plan on rooting future devices, the only thing native to HTC is the S-OFF portion of eMMC

Are you S-OFF? If so issue this command in fastboot:
fastboot oem writecid 22222222
Go to htcdev.com and then it will allow you to unlock the bootloader also make sure you have 8 2's in the command.
I flashed a backup from twrp recovery then it was successful but when I rebooted my device it was stuck on an endless boot. I was able to get to twrp recovery then i bootedinto the bootloader I dont know why but i relocked the bootloader using oem lock. then it booted up and now is stock on the htc logo. i thought it would boot up then i was going to unlock the bootloader again thinking it would fix it. i was not thinking straight. now my phone is not being picked by my pc when using adb devices. please help

I think you mean you relocked the bootloader again, since that is what it said in your PM to me; and it makes more sense (based on what you are saying).
Relocking as you now know, is not (in itself) going to return you to stock. Think about that, where would the necessary stock ROM and other files magically come from?

adb only works when the phone is booted, and possibly in recovery. It will never work in bootloader or fastboot mode.
Check to see if the command works in fastboot mode: fastboot devices
If so, since you are already RELOCKED, just run the 4.28.502.2 RUU (as I've seen you asked for in another thread, which I also answered).
Thanks man.
