Hi All,
I have read lots of posts and am confused so sorry if already answered.
I have a uk orange atrix rooted and have unlocked bootloader running Aura 1.2.2.2. I wish to flash the uk stock rom from the firmwares superthread, is it safe for me to use rsdlite to flash rom.
Many thanks
Just flash a fruitcake

I was waiting for one but their is not a uk one yet. i thought that if it was ok to flash an sbf using rsdlight with an unlocked bootloader then i would create a fruitcake of it for others to use.
I did it flashed back to stock with rds after unlock bl and all worked fine but I cant flash with fastboot now as I think bootlader relocked.

I was just reading on this, I know this is safer, but would you recommend? I'm trying not to get caught up in AT&T lol

I don't get you lol but I would like to know, does it say "unlocked" upon boot? If not then How'd you do it
you should unlock the bootloader
and flash a 2.3 rom they are alot better than froyo roms
Wish there was a UK Gingerbread fruitcake for us over here

I know this is posted probably somewhere but, how do you unlock your bootloader and flash roms, and still be able to flash back to 1.83 or even 1.26, and also be able to get OTA updates. Thanks (first time dealing with a Android bootloader)

Use pudding to unlock bootloader, and Kenneth Penn's 4.5.91 to go to GB. Can flash back from this. If you subsequently flash the upcoming OTA, you most likely won't flash back, as Moto has tried to prevent flashing back with the latest upgrade.
Beamed from WinBorg 4G via XDA Premium
Is it possible without hard bricking the phone? The upgrade is causing WAY more trouble than it's worth and a lot happier running roms. Thanks.

Got another question but not gonna make a new post, can you use the auto boot unlocker to unlock/root 4.5.141? It's only updated to .91

Was your bootloader previously unlocked?

I can at least keep this alive and going. Mine was previously unlocked, and, once the update applied, which did it overnight without my permission (HNNNGH), I lost it. What do I do now?

Yes /10 char
I think you will find that you just lost the unlock graphic; unlocking involves burning out one of the eFuses, so you can't relock.
Hi everone
Im using a rooted, BT UL Atrix 4G with 2.3.6 4.5.191. and Im wondering if this is possible to perform this downgrade or/to 2.3.4
I want to do that becouse my GPS takes a lot to get a fix and I had no luck with other methods like: changing gpsconfig, recalibrating compass, using different radios
Thanks
Downgrading to 2.3.4 IS POSSIBLE provided you have previously unlocked your bootloader AND you have a backup of 2.3.4 through CWM.
This is treacherous territory, and I'm not sure if there's been resolution on whether or not it's safe.
Your safest bet? Fruit cake it back to 4.5.91.
Is it possible to downgrade using RSD if the bootloader was never unlocked?

Don't do it. You will get failed to boot 2.

No that would brick it and you would be screwed. We already saw this issue when people tried to go backwards from GB to Froyo...

I have used the automatic bootloader unlock for 4.5.141 but I may be just lucky
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
Yeah it is working fine on 4.5.141 ... Unlocked and Rooted, running Neutrino 2.8 GT
But the phone is heating up even @ 1 GHz. (no undervolt)
So was curious if flashing the ROM over 4.5.91 will help or not.
- Is it not possible to downgrade even using Nottach's method? Flashing the 4.5.91 images directly from fastboot and not bothering with RSD ?
NVM...

So is it feasible?
Downgraded successfully by flashing the separate partition using moto-fastboot.
Got the 4.5.91 images from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163342
wifi error.....

Can I simply take my Atrix, flash the 2.3.4 sbf, and update to 2.3.6 when the OTA update window comes up? The Atrix is rooted unlocked and cwm.
I just want to be unrooted and on the official OTA track, don't care about preserving cwm, root, or unlocked bootloader.
I'm currently on
45.2.49mb860.personal.en.ar
2.3.6
web top oshwt_u1_4.257.30
This is an att Atrix running on att.
Bump...should I flash to the 2.3.6 sbf

So 2.3.4 sbf, then 2.3.6 sbf? What's 2.4.5?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
sorry my mistake......sent that from phone, i din notice, its 2.3.4 not 2.3.5!! was unlocked and tried almost all rom! last day i switched back to stock 2.3.4 rom (not sbf, but the moto-fastboot flash images). download it and flash everything one by one, system, data, webtop, preinstall, boot, radio... then download the official 2.3.6 update from motorola s/w update page, then flash it via CWM. after reboot your bootloader will be updated and re-locked. and the system files will be updated to 2.3.6. back to pure stock, and latest version!

why dont u try the simple moto-fastboot flash method. its safe than the rsd!! ended up bricking my device once when i played with rsd. but never after....
Thank you njarun, one last thing..where do I find these files?
download it from androidpolice.com, kennthpenn has a good guide in reverting back to 4.5.91 stock 2.3.4 gb. then download update from moto website. use moto-fastboot, not fastboot since fastboot cant handle large img files....

I have already successfully rooted, and attempted to flash CWM recovery from Rom Manager, but I am unable to get to recovery. I tried to unlock the bootloader with RDS Lite flashing derpunlock from the puddin forum, not the 2.3.5, but it failed

Need to use the boot strap recovery, MOTODX_Bootstrap_Signed.apk. Its based off Clockwork. Make sure you only try to flash locked roms though. If you try and flash anything not supported your more than likely going to be on my boat... Softbricked. I was a flashaholic with my Evo, now im a bricked bum looking for light...
Look in Lokifish Mars Sticky on all thing Mopho. It has links to everything you will need in it.
No you cannot flash a custom recovery on a locked bootloader.

not possible for now. I tried it already and it is unsuccessful

I'm in the same boat. I just got a used Photon and it already had the 2.3.5 (45.4.13 254_13) ROM on it. I got it rooted successfully at least, but get the error when trying to install the DERPUNLOCK.SFB file.
Any solutions out there yet? Can the unit be SBF-ed back to 198_7 and then the bootloader unlocked?
(I'm sorry if this is a redundant question, but I haven't found a clear answer and have searched the forums extensively!)
THANKS!

Your only real option is mof2.3.5 unless you want to run a rom that is not supported anymore ie imperium, rocko, skinny. Mofs rom is damn good though. Give it a shot and see what you think.
If your on 2.3.4 go with mofo2.3.5ish if your on 2.3.5, don't flash any roms locked or unlocked. Just be happy your phone works!
The reason being is because will the roms are based on 2.3.4 and since 2.3.5 locked bootloader, anything 2.3.4 based will cause you to soft brick, with no sprint sbf to fall back on. Peetr and mo are actively working on a working sbf for those who are on USC electrify sbf.

I'm on 2.3.5, and i really don't care about breaking 4G or anything CDMA... Only need GSM if that's possible...

Signed boot.img with its modules is needed to install after each locked rom.
Don't want to sound like a n00b, but where would those be in the ROM threads? I'm so used to HTC's phones, so going to this Photon makes me feel like I'm starting from scratch...
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
Actually nowhere yet. You need to wait.
Ohh okay. I'll just sit back and wait for the devs. Really wish I hadn't traded my Evo LTE for this Photon....

Any progress on unlocking the bootloader on the OTA 253_13 build?
Still curious about being able to sbf downgrade to 254_7...
And info GREATLY appreciated.
Hi...
I buy unlocked Motorola Atrix 4G in USA and I try with AT&T and T-Mobile it's works fine on both..(No 3G in T-Mobile)
Now if I have to use that phone in India do I have to Flash Radio on it.
Right Now i did root this device but i am not able to unlock bootloader....?
Looks like they have bootloader unlocked but when i try to flash CWM recovery on it..... it fails...?
So i don't know how to unlock bootloader (I try my best to do that)
So my question is...Without any custom recovery how can i flash radio
and which radio I should flash for India...?
Either you're doing something wrong, or you have one of those non-unlockable bootloaders, in which case tough luck, sorry.
I don't think there is any special "indian" radio that you need to flash, should work with the one you have just fine.
I hope it work in India....
As specially 3G... I know call will work... But I am not sure for 3G...
