Would an FXP or independent developer please consider working on what's necessary to get the semcsuite.apk and stock games running on the CM7 GSM and CDMA roms, please? Even if it ammounts to the enduser being required to modify a cwm flashable zip with the original packages dumped from our original firmware (due to obvious licensing and warez issues), I feel a lot of us would be very greatful for the effort. I love CM7, but would also love to play Asphalt, too.
Found earlier that the new PlayStation Suite apps actually installed without an issue, but I'm getting error codes when trying to log into PS Store.
Now I'm toying around with borrowing apks from the actual R800i generic firmware, but I'm still sure there's alot more to this than what I'm capable of. I've tried before to get the SEMC suite to work on CM7 from the R800x firmwares, but no success.
Shouldn't be in dev section but I second this. Touchpads is what makes the play worth getting and the fact that they don't fully work is a major downside to cm7

I'm using FXP052 with camera patch and APN mods and so far touchpads work fine for me. Testing using Sony Ericson's Experiment 13 (free game) through Market.

I've been following Achotjan since he posted a proposal to port the engine to the X Play in this forum and it was locked because it was only a proposal. I can see the issue of having to port SE framework to the debrand engine, but if more than one single dev worked on it, we could have the power of cyanogen with the functionality and style of Xperia.
I would pay to have that brought to cdma and gsm Plays.

i've noticed that other phones with an android os has additional widgets on their slide menus. and the xperia play only has the notifications and running apps. can this be edited so that the wifi, bluetooth and other stuff can be put there.
Nope not untill you get custom roms (cm7 is being ported at the moment to the arc so want be long after that's done, it will appear here, I think).
You can try 'notification toggle' from market wich kind of emulates the thing you're after.

You understand using cm on your play, you will loose the play launcher and the playstation store, as they need the sony ericsson framework to run.

Yes I know that, it was just info on cm7. It will be possible when ever a custom Rom comes (based on sonys OS/UI) and somebody ports that function as some did to the DHD sense roms

It's a Tegra game, so you need Chainfire3d to run that game on Defy.
I have Chainfire running, and I know Tegra is working because Riptide runs.
But sprinkle just closes after opening. Guess ill just have to wait to see if a solution appears

Same here, i´ve tried WIUI 2.2.3 and 2.2.24 Hybrid and got the same results.
I´m using chainfire 3d pro 3.3 with nvidia plugin.
You dont need chainfire for either riptide or sprinkle. PowerVR versions of both have been released on the market.

Strange, it doesn´t show up on my market and if i go to the AppBrain it says that it´s not compatible with my device.

It is compatible with the x10 I have on my account but not the defy. But I think it'll install and play nice if you get it offmarket.
Edit: I have send a mail to the support as I suspect there is no real reason for it to be unsupported. They are almost forcing us to get it illegal ^^

I've tested on Epsylon last nightly, works fine, just since 2 jan nighlty (almost sure), previously builds it doesn't work, if someone can find the difference between those nightlys or the changelog...
I get why it doesn't allow to be installed to the defy. It seems that they don't support froyo and defy is officially on froyo. But I tought the latest CM nightly's had the defy+ signature :/ Maybe not.

what is TecnoBread?:TecnoBread (TB) is a rom based on gingerdx v22 by doixhan and works with stock, linux dx and alfs kernel(both alfs and stock were tested). we think that if you use TB with nAa:it could make TB dont work or TB will work but wifi not so i dont recommend at anyway use nAa with TB
the main idea is to have a nice styling, fast and smooth rom, thats why we choose dx
in case you wanna know, yes, we have permission from doixhan, but just from him, to work on v23 and more we need permission from the new developers
some people refer to us as the team that ICSify dx but....we didnt just that we change lots of thing and remember that the main idea is not to have ics look, the idea is to have a nice styling rom with good performance, we choose ics style cuz it was the best look we found

The rom is fast d smooth with both kernels but i highly recommend to flash Alfa v7(not v8) with this rom to get a better performance

Sony has released the code for the fm radio module. Can someone not create a FM Radio app now?
I also would like to put FM radio to my PRO but only streams working. I dont think that sony will give the source to cyanogen whatever I am not expert in this topic but still hoping

This is my first Sony Ericsson ice cream sandwich rom. And the purpose of this rom was because I was tired of downloading hundreds of roms for my xperia play and all of them having some kind of pros and cons, like one would look really nice and fast but not have any touchpad support and vice versa.

Unfortunately XDark ics v3 is Canceled, My phone is giving up on me slowly. for flashing back and forth between roms and kernels my xperia play is starting to suffer from a faulty NAND chip and wont function correctly on certain android versions. So i have flashed back to factory and might remain their. Sorry for the inconvenience

I am very sorry that's the wrong kernel I mean DooMKernel ICS BETA v03, I have just updated the links.
I suppose that by "full touchpad support" he means it works as in the ICS beta, it's there, just some games don't recognize it.
Unlike the other two Sony ICS ports that didn't include the appropriate framework files for the touchpad.

EDIT: sir I believe that this is now my current daily driver! Played mc3 mission @ 1.2mhz with nooooo lags. Touch pads work in everything their supposed to thank you so much for this amazing from! Only concern is that horrible music player and widget. The widget isn't functional and their is no lockscreen controls neither. But other than that the from is blazing fast!

script manager keeps telling me that i'm "not running root no super user for you" but obviously i selected "browse as root" @ app startup even checked in config and browse as root is selected. can anyone confirm by trying supercharger please

hey you might wanna change that bad busybox as i was not able to run the supercharger script with it. i used the one in my attatchments. just flash in cwn if anyone wants to supercharge this great rom.
