This is just a stock rooted ROM with Busybox and Superuser. The ROM is Deodex'ed.

so am i correct in saying that if i'm only unlocked and not s-off, then i won't be able to flash this with the amon ra recovery? because i can't flash the boot.img from recovery, only from fastboot?

No that's not correct. You can flash this without issue because it uses the stock kernel and ramdisk (boot.img).
If you do happen to flash another kernel later then you would need to use fastboot to flash the boot.img.
For now you can download and or mod then flash

Yep, and its easily modified before flashing.
I can already smell the CleanROM cooking in the kitchen! I'm flashing this right now though, and I will thoroughly debloat it until then.

Yeah the one you mentioned that you made originally for the 3D. It will be handy for those new to fastboot.
I am assuming the Amon Ra recovery here in the Dev section is the right one that is working properly.

Well it'd be nice to be able to basically RUU the phone back to fully stock without using a pc (mine is broken currently). I have the Eng hboot and s-off so it'd be nice to have one of the original RUUs before hboot 1.5. I've recently been having issues with any recovery I run and feel like a fresh start from scratch would help a lot.

Yeah, I've seen this one, but it's not quite it. The one I'm talking about is a completely UNTOUCHED ROM (even the boot screen is stock), and only has the Sprint HotSpot unlocked and Beats included. I may be wrong, but I could've sworn I ran this ROM for a couple months. I unfortunately deleted the zip file, before I realized I couldn't find it anymore. Any of the Devs out there interested in creating this?

I think smokin1337 put up a zip to unlock hotspot and add beats to a stock deodex rom, should be on the 2nd or 3rd page.

nope nothin yet, dunno what it was from. joel just told me he fixed animations in sense 4, though, so i'm most likely gonna be flashing that when he's done lol
This latest update is 4.0.3 and has some nice fixes in for wallet (finally) and a few other things. For a more detailed list of changes and links to the OTA file check out joeykrim's thread here.
I've updated the ROM zip to fix the Wiper App force closes and a few other things that I had found. If you were one who got the force close after flashing the smaller fix below is all you should need to correct it. If you are just now downloading the ROM it's built in so the fix is not needed.
As always make sure you do a nandroid first!

Had the same issue trying to create a stock 1.13 rom from the ruu. Vipers stock 1.13 just doesn't even include wiper.apk and is missing a couple libs. I think the issue has to do with them and/or their permissions.

I'm not an expert but this is a ROM which you should be able to install with a custom recovery. clockwork or TWRP

I relocked rui'd and took the ota and fastbooted twrp then flashed this in twrp and got my root. So yeah its a good way to ota just flash this in twrp...I only have positive things to say about it. Running very good

Happy Birthday! You need to have them more often if we can keep getting updates like this
Step 1
Flash Stock Firmware (Includes new HBoot but this doesn't take your root if your dev unlocked) (Thanks Mike1986) put this file on the root of your sd card and boot into bootloader. When prompted hit volume up key to install.
Stock Firmware Zip
Step 2
Reboot to recovery and install the super wipe zip.
Superwipe zip
Step 3
Flash the rooted rom and enjoy!!!

looks like it has a new hboot in the ota so i wouldn't trust it but radio should be ok i will do a radio and firmware zip now for ya
If i'm on HBOOT 1.50 S-ON Unlocked by HTC Dev what should i do if i want to run ICS? I don't want to Downgrade or Wire Trick because it's not my phone and my girl don't want to risk the phone.

just re-lock and update, simple as that

Well you'll have to flash a stock Rom and relock the bootloader, then flash a stock recovery, then run the ota.
Or just run an ruu and update from there

I was messing around with the new boot loader on a new phone and managed to unlock and get a recovery, but SU wouldn't flash, then it said it flashed, but still didn't fash, So I went ahead and tried to flash a rom anyway hoping it would work because the rom was rooted, Wrong answer. lol
And the ONE thing I DIDNT do when I got the CWM was MAKE A BACKUP!!! So I screwed up bad.
Now I've bee stuck at splashscreens for 2 days on a 3 day old phone.
Yeah, me too. I need the RUU as well. I am running mean rom right now with the kernel that allows it to work with hboot 1.58. But I would like to be able to go back to stock if necessary.
If you're stuck with 1.58 like me I suggest you install mean rom and flash the kernel in the Mean-Rom folder on your SD card so your wifi and 4G work.

This is exactly what Sprint and HTC wanted to accomplish. I would give it time. The devs should have a smooth running ICS / kernel soon. I am betting they will have something for all HBOOTs out there. I am still sitting on my Mean ROM for GB... with 1.4. And I will wait to make the leap to ICS... because I don't feel we should have to leave 1.4
I like having the option of reverting back to stock in case I screw something up lol.
