Hi friends,
I had tried to look for win rar in the market but I didn't get it.
what I want to do, I had took a video of my daughter which is 22mb long I wan to email that to my in-laws .
I was thinking to make a archive with win rar 10mb+10mb+2mb like we do with movies, so that I can email these archives.
do anybody know any alternative of win rar.????????
Hmmm you can download unrar, but that's only going to help decompressing. I suggest using dropbox or usb get it onto a computer and just use win rar from there..

If you have a file explorer installed, it will surely let you compress the file, then the easiest way to share it could be as suggested, dropbox or any file uploading pages (megaupload, rapidshare, etc...). That way you don't need to reduce the file to avoid attachment limits of your email.
Use Archidroid, it can make archives.

please guest could you tell me how to get the sms message up
please email me at [email protected]
- Unpack the compressed file on your PC (if you have a ".zip" file), you should end-up with a file with a ".cab" extension.
- Now transfer this file to your device with ActiveSync, don't worry about the directorie, just put it on the device.
- Now, on your device, find the ".cab" file using the file explorer.
- Double click the ".cab" file, it should install itself.
- After this you can delete the ".cab" file but don't be surprized if it is allready gone, that is normal.
Now it should work!
I emailed you the file + the instructions
My friend has a Samsung Fascinate, With the community rom 1.3. But even before he had that rom he has problems downloading certain files from the internet. Mostly .pdb files associated with Isilo reader. Does any know how to fix it so it will download any file extension to the download folder or at least the .pdb.

Look for an app called download crutch or download crutch lite. It'll let you download anything.

Hey guys.
I couldn't find how to sign zips and apks on a mac anywhere. I know how to on my windows machince but its annoying to transfer files back and forth. Anyone give me a hint as to how to sign on a mac?
Thanks

thats intresting, iwanna know too :cyclops:
I remember reading about this a while back... Anyway, you need to have testsign.jar in your root folder.
Then, you'll want to download this file. The .zip has the testsign.jar file too. This is a droplet application; meaning, you just drag and drop any .apk or .zip file, and it signs them for you. Credits go to @jessetbenton for the droplet file.
When I go to mediafire or zippyshare to download files with bytetorn it always downloads as .txt files. Does anyone know why? Or how I can fix it. Thanks in advance!

Use opera browser.
I always use FireFox for my downloading. Had several problems where opera wants downloading files just getting html files.
If you didn't know this then you can just rename the .txt file to what ever ext that it should be. So if you were downloading an music.mp3 and it downloaded as music.txt then you can rename the .txt to .mp3 and the file should be fine.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
It wouldn't open them. Only had option to open with reader, or html.file editor. Trying FireFox now. Thanks for the info guys.

Hey guys!
I have a problem ...
I use an app for courses (Udemy) and it have the option to download courses for offline watching.
Did it. I can watch the app offline, but wanted to move to the PC. I found the files in the folder:
android / data / com.udemy.android / files / udemy-final-downloads
Within this folder I have several folders, each containing one video of the course. The problem is that when plug the mobile in PC most of the files do not appear.
In short: I can see all the phone but the PC does not appear the most.
I've tried with linux and windows. Already asked to view hidden files and resolves nothing.
Has anyone had similar problem?
Obs.'s Mobile phone is a Moto X.
Thanks Guys!

Move the files or folder to your highest directory. Should be something like /storage/emulated/0. FYI, your device has to be unlocked (meaning PIN or pattern or password or whatever) to open anything on the phone on your PC.

That's weird. How about uploading them to cloud storage, like DropBox or Google Drive?
I tried it too. The files are very big 4.8 GB and always stop. I'll try do it littke files at time.
Send to PC over Bluetooth?
Delete and re-download them to a location of your choosing?
Copy via PC or SDCard
You can locate the folder as you did, thus:
android/data/com.udemy.android/files/udemy-final-downloads
copy it to memory card or flash using otg if your device supported it. Otherwise, you copy it to your PC, I used Ubuntu to copy the folder. Afterwards open and rename each course (file) accordingly, but is a very tiresome task.
Hope this will help.

I have the same problem.
My course has 297 lectures
I could copy only the first 222.
I ran ls -l from terminal as su to check the sequence - they are downloaded in sequence - and I am using the time sequence to rename them in order numerically
How to download Udemy videos and convert it to any formats to play
You can try Bigasoft Video Downloader Pro, it can download udemy videos for free. You can read more from How to Download Udemy Videos Easily with Bigasoft Video Downloader Pro
What protocol are you accessing the files from your PC? Are you using MTP, MSC, etc...?
May i suggest that you install ES File manager, use it's remote manager (which uses ftp) to check if you can see the files.
Personaly for transfering files between my Droid and my PC, because MTP is so utterly slow I use an app called "MTP-alternative" which allow you to tranfer files over USB but uses the Wedav protocol and is really quick. (if it works, bear in mind that when transfering files to your mobile it copy them in /data/local/tmp which gives the impression that the files aren't transfered to your mobile)

Hey, i realize this is very late but i hope my answer will help others. I had to do something simillar and i found a very simple work around. all you have to do is download winrar or any other app that can archive files/directories. Use the app to make an archive of the Final Downloads folder which contains all the other nested folders with the videos in them. Now you can connect your phone to your computer and transfer the .rar or .zip file over and extract it on your desktop.
Thanks for your answer, this is worked for me. The problem is solved now.
