This mod is made to give a better control in media volume and a better scrolling experience in most of your application installed on your phone.
How to:
Copy framework.jar attachment to /system folder in your phone.
Then move it from /system to /system/framework
Change permission like that:
Reboot
Things to know:
First boot could take a couple of minutes. Wait.
After phone boots, it could be a little laggy. Bluetooth and screenshot could work not fine. Just wait . As soon as all be fine, make one more reboot
If you like it, i upgraded my All In One Mod with this audio mod too
Audio step increaser:
Smooth scrolling menus:
This mod will disable the scrollingcache throughout the Android OS.
You can notice improvements in many of your applications as gallery and music player and in default launcher too.
No screenshoots available for this.
Just try and notice the difference.
All my thanks go to AndroidON
Enjoy

Hey mate
All save and integrated
That audio controller is a widget called Audio Manager.
You can notice this mod, just by pressing up and down volume buttons while you're listening a media file.
You'll have to hit it more times now

Here a tutorial for Sony Ericsson. It's quite similar for other phones.
For volume part, you have to go in framework/android/media/AudioService.smali and search for max_, and find a line like array_1ae. Last part of name could be different.
Then search for that value and change 4th and 7th line as in screenshoot:
For smooth scrolloing, go to framework/android/widget/AbsListView.smali and change values as in screenshoot :
Bye

REQUIREMENTS
CM6.1 for the HTC Legend
CM6.1-Gingertheme.v6.1.LEGEND.zip courtesy of Sympnotic - Download provided below.
LauncherPro (Recommended) OR Gingerbread Launcher
*** NOTE: Gingerbread Launcher 3D Free does not work on the Legend.
Icons (if using LauncherPro) courtesy of Benny879 @ the LauncherPro Forum - Download provided below.
Gingerbread Keyboard by Fabolous @ Droid Forums
LCDDensity
Livewallpaper from Gingerbread
*** NO METAMORPH REQUIRED!
STEPS
*** DO A BACKUP FIRST!!!
Flash CM6.1-Gingertheme.v6.1.LEGEND.zip
Select STOCK_Black theme in CM settings. (User interface --> Tweak Extras)
Flash the keyboard and select Android Keyboard in text input.
Open up LCDDensity and set to 240 then restart.
Open up LCDDensity again, set to 160 (default), and restart again (this is to fix the unusually small size of the new keyboard).
Use the icons to give the LauncherPro dock the Gingerbread look. DO NOT FLASH THE ICON ZIP FILE just extract it and customize through the LauncherPro menu. Alternatively, you can use the Gingerbread Launcher in the Market, but it does not have support for a 3D app drawer.
Set wallpaper to "Nexus" live wallpaper.
BUGS
Rebooting the phone will cause the keyboard to return to its small state again. You'll have to repeat steps 4 & 5 to correct it.
After flashing the theme from Sympnotic, the CM theme options may appear as a blank menu with one checked radio next to it. Check it again, leave the menu, go back, and STOCK_Black should be there.
After flashing CM6.1-Gingertheme.v6.1.LEGEND.zip I got stuck at the Cyanogenmod boot screen. I had to power it down then power it back up for it to properly boot. Everything was fine after.
"Add Call" button appears lower than the "End" and "Dialpad" buttons (See Post #5). Flash CM6.1-Gingertheme.v6.1.LEGEND.zip to fix. Thanks to Sympnotic.
MISSING FEATURES
New live wallpaper as seen on the Nexus S. Fake Nexus S live wallpaper added!
Official Nexus S live wallpaper.
Orange colour burst when reaching the end of a menu.
Sleep animation.

I'm just trying to learn this stuff too. Right now I'm relying on Sympnotic for the theme and I'm not sure if there are any plans for a transparent version. Maybe in the future if I can figure it out myself.

No and no. I didn't create the required files mentioned in the first post. All I did was flash/install the required items, made sure everything worked, then posted exactly how I did it. I'm still in the process of learning about how to properly use the SDK, so I've been relying on more advanced users' work.
That doesn't mean that it isn't zipaligned or signed, I just don't know since I didn't make it. Why? Are you experiencing slower performance?

Hi, I did the theme, and no, i'm not signing or zipaligning it, I'm too lazy to do that as I'm always replacing things at the last moment before flashing and testing it, but I'm moving files from .zip to .zip to prevent issues concerning signing.
Properly recompiled (w/o errors) framework-res.apk using apktool (supposedly fake signed) gives me bootloops.
I'll grab the fake-sign java thing just in case and will find some infos about it.

if anyone feels that i've not acknowledged their contributions in any way, it's entirely through my own ignorance, so just let me know and i'll be more than happy to credit you for your work on here.
and no, don't bother donating to me for this - give it to those above who've made it possible in the first place
the install file is available here:
http://www.box.com/s/d8yeiv5u1gcsu470noai
all files are zipaligned, too, for those who care about that sort of thing
there is an undo file available here:
http://www.box.com/s/xvgpvjtcpp19hi0n1d8d
the uninstall will revert to the stock framework/res/systemui/settings/android.policy files, so backup these files for your own sake before installing this mod. my working installation is arconium 7.1, so that's where my starting point was for these files. i've had some issues with the uninstaller from time to time, though, so let me know if it's not working for you and i'll see what i can do.
it's my first ever mod, so please let me know what you think, and if you have any more suggestions that you'd like to see included post 'em and i'll see what i can do.
equally, if anyone wants to see my working files, i tried to split out the mods into individual changes from the stock decompiled files as i found that easier to keep track of the changes. if they're any use to someone, just ask and i'll send you my working files.
Looks Cool! Awesome Work Dude

2g/3g toggle mod could be a useful addition to this so thanks for the heads-up! i'll have a look and see if i can work out how to include it - i have to admit that the smali code is a complete pita to get my head around - such a shame apktool doesn't decompile into java instead as i've worked with that for over 12 years i don't suppose you know of a language primer for smali code at all?

Smali is essentially a java optimized for dalvik. It's easy to understand once you get used to it only that all the type is included in each object mentioned instead of one include directive on top of java file. another differences is that variable is assigned with a v (v1, v2, etc) and parameter is with p (p0 -> usually a replacement for 'this' inside object based function or just a first parameter in a static function, p1, p2, etc)

well, i've tried to keep the mods as separate as i can while i was doing them so that they could be combined. there's only a few that crossed over significantly, but the control panel mod was one of them. as it stands, i'm toying with the idea of trying to move it beneath the notifications as in landscape mode it takes up most of the available screen space, and the notifications aren't really visible. ideally, i'd do it more like miui, with the page of icons and a page for notifications, with the view defaulting to notifications if any are present. but that's just me - i really liked miui, but for some reason the touch-screen doesn't seem to respond properly on cm7/miui on the arc s. ah, well

second attempt, then: try this instead just tried it on my phone, and seems to work fine for me this time. it still has the 'never' option on the display timeout in there too, as i'm a little pushed for time to pull all of those changes out, but there shouldn't be anything else left in there.
brilliant will give it another go, thank you

There are much crap in /system/app. You removed FB not completely and some unuseful apps (maps, latitude, livewiremanager etc.) runs in the background.
I will test the rom with Krsh v3 Kernel, will report soon.:good:

I didn't remove them because i do use maps, and i thought people use latitude. Latitude, news & weather apps can be removed via titanium backup. I will remove them in future versions.. however future versions happening depends up on the response i get.
Hello.
First off: It is working on LOCKED bootloader!!! (Tested on Sk17a, though it is now Sk17i )
This is like an improved version of the stock ROM, everything is working just fine, it's fast, a lot of garbage is gone, quick panel toggles , through 25 minutes of extensive use with 90% brightness it just used 5% of the battery, I'm loving the black Xperia Keyboard.
God this is like the upgrade I was expecting from Sony when they released ICS. This is a win rom dude. Thanks and gratz
However: NONE of the Xperia Home Preferences are working (App Drawer opacity, number of home screens, dock background colors, etc)

Thanks for the feedback. Xperia Home issue is a known one. Home V7 was developed for GB, not ICS. I hope the developer will fix it soon. I am planning on developing a better version. Let me know if anyone is interested in CLEAR BASS. I find SRS Audio way better..

1 Day observation
Downloaded this ROM yday...
Installed it...gave 1hr for the ROM to settle down.
ROM is nice, smooth.....No Bloatware(as per me) except "News & Weather" app.
Amazed to see the customisation options when i opened settings.:highfive:
I liked Dark Liquid(Turns on Blackest UI), Option to enable onscreen navigation buttons(easily), Pie Controls.
Dialer, Messaging & keyboard are dark themed. Liked it.
Option to change songs by long pressing Volume rocker in Sleep mode...bingooo......
Cons:
I'm used to taking back up of apps and installing them directly without need to redownloading from Playstore. But I couldn't find any Filemananger app or an installer app to do so.
Battery drains is bad. 2% in Idle Mode. . Which is the battery saver governer for your ROM?
Advanced settings not working. Js FC when tapped on it. Attached the screenshot of this.
P.S: Just if anyone donno how to install apps without playstore or Filemanager:
I opened Browser and installed app(file:///sdcard/appsaver.apk in addressbar[appsaver is the app which i installed]).

I'll probably add a file manager in the next build. Advanced settings are not working, like the ray rom. I know that the battery is pretty bad, I'll see what I can do to improve it. Thanks for the feedback.
Will wait for updates with more bug fixes n improvements......
I Think "Thanks" button works better than saying thanks
Js Kidding.....I like thank meter ratings

FINAL VERSION (b.2)
1. Externally downloaded album arts are also supported to be set as lockscreen wallpaper.

Sorry dude, but it seems not working on kitkat :/
(But don't lose hope lol, maybe it comes from my phone)
When i activate the module, restart my phone, launch your app, start service, launch music, lock and unlock, nothing change :/
And i see that: I thinks it's a bug, but when i lock my screen playing and mp3 song, the song cut off each second (I think it comes from your app, because before, everything work great)
I use poweramp on Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE
ps: Sorry for my bad english

I am on 4.3 on the i337 GS4 and it is not working for player pro or pandora. I'm not bashing but I wanted to know too.
I love this works like a charm on my GS4 GPE 4.2.2 with play music. Would be absolutely awesome if this worked with Music Player Remix. Thanks for your hard work devs in this community are awesome.
