I see many developers are including the Droid 3 camera in their ROMs. I have searched high and low and can't find the installer.
I want to install it on my wife's Atrix. Her phone is rooted only.
Is it /system/app/BlurCamera.apk. I am running GingerMod 3
Yes, any custom rom that has the D3 camera preinstalled you can just pull the "BlurCamera.apk"

If you have Clockwork recovery installed on your phone, i have a flashable zip file that will install the D3 camera over the original one.
Sorry, didn't notice that you mentioned her phone was ONLY rooted...

I know someone has provided a zip file but for future reference, to install a system app you don't exactly "install" it but rather move the apk file into the system/app/ folder then change the permissions and reboot.
Change permissions to:
______ Read Write Execute
Owner | check check uncheck
Group | check uncheck uncheck
Others | check uncheck uncheck

It's still not working. I guess because she is stock 2.3.4 ( not deodexed ).
Try putting it in the data/app/ folder and setting the permissions. You might need to freeze the preinstalled one if it's still there and don't forget to reboot.
I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try.

Is there a version for non-Blur (ie. CM7) ROMs anywhere? I'm on Neutrino and I don't much like the MIUI camera.
I don't think any Blur apps will work with CM7, that's what I've read anyways so don't take my word for it. (Something to do with framework or something like that)
You can try a 3rd party app from the market. There a quite a few free options. I use Camera Zoom FX, but it's a paid app.

The Atrix camera app on 2.3.4 does have :
-Panoramic mode
-Burst mode
-Zoom with volume (already available in 2.2)
-Toggle sound
- Macro mode
Im not sure about the Snap pic with the search button
any most of these features were new as a part of the new UI with GingerBread update
Motorola support once told me there is a different OSs to each region when I asked about how to mute the shutter on froyo (My old OG Milestone can do it both Eclair & FroYo)
any way , My Atrix is a british retail , not sure about the AT&T version

Hey guys I yoinked this demo of NFS Shift from my friends Droid X.
The game installed and runs great on my vibrant, you CAN'T buy the full version, it will just sit and try to connect for a few minutes then fail and tell you you have to be connected to the VW network. From what I hear it will be a Droid X exclusive for a few months, then come to the Market

You probably shouldn't run untrusted programs with full internet access with an available data connection active anyway or use something like droidwall to prevent it from calling home. The same could apply for offline-centric applications requesting full internet permissions.
This demo doesn't appear in the system dump somebody posted, I guess it was either removed from that dump to save download size, is present in a different firmware or is side-loaded courtesy of Verizon afterwards like the 'Samsung Apps' does.
It doesn't look anybody has tampererd with it if that's what you're asking. The modified file date on the files in the APK indicate it was compiled on 16/06/2010.

Extract.
the file should be ending with .APK nothing more.
put it anywhere on ur SD Card, use a file manager such as Files (preinstalled on Vibrant), ASTRO, Root Manager or whatever.. direct it to where the APK is then install it. it'll probably ask about Unknown Sources, just check that too.
Just got it to work. Here is what i did in case anybody else is having trouble. When i downloaded the file it ended with multiple file extensions, .apk.zip. Did not think of it at first but went in and renamed, removing the .zip and leaving only the .apk at the end, and installed via apk installer. Works like a charm

Nice theme. Sent some donation love your way
i've been waiting for this! before i complain, i'd like to thank you, i'm such a huge fan of the stock android interface, the new blur stuff was making my eyes bleed..
is there any way i can exclude this from installing the droid 1 sms/mms app[mms.apk]? i'm using the modified sms app that comes with the epic rom and installing this theme messes seems to break it.
something to note- i used 7zip to browse through the theme zip and noticed a conversations.apk.
the interesting thing is that before installing your theme, the 'text messaging' app[conversations.apk] works.
after installing, i notice that there is an mms.apk. i used root explorer to rename it to .bak and the 'messaging' app that appeared after installing your theme disappeared.
but whenever i open 'text messaging' it just closes. no FC no error, it just closes.
Try reinstalling the conversations to apk by clicking it in root explorer. I got my terminal emulator to work when it was doing the same thing by doing that

Sure, just open the zip file and navigate to /system/app. In there you will want to delete conversations.apk

yea i think i may be mixed up. i have to do some testing, i'll report back.
i also noticed that putting this theme on top of the epic rom makes doubles of a couple apps.
for example, now there are two music players. when you try to open either, it asks what you'd like to complete the actoin with, 'com.android.music' or 'com.google.android.music'
i'll compile whatever errors i can find for you and report back

if anyone is interested i'll post it.
I'm assuming this has the Stock D1 icons (the ones in stock android 2.0-2.2)?
Is there any way I can extract those icons and put them in another theme?

also job as always. guys if you use the work of these developers remember to donate because they dont get paid for these things.
So now you have this awesome transformer prime with its amazing screen. You want to watch some hulu but HULU blocks mobile versions of flash and instead forces you to use their app which requires a paid subscription. And even if you have hulu-plus some vids are for website viewing only!
Well with this modded version of flash, it tricks hulu (and other websites) that you are on a desktop version of flash, so they do not block it!
This mod is 100% the work of Vgeezy from thrive forums. i am just reposting it here.
YOU APPARENTLY NEED ROOT TO UNINSTALL THE FLASH PLAYER!!!
Instructions:
1) Download the apk
2) Uninstall flash on the transformer
3) Install apk
4) Set user agent in browser to desktop (open browser-setting-advanced-user agent string- desktop)
5) Go to www.hulu.com and enjoy!
If these instructions dont work try this: (Credit Cowballz69)
1) Set flash to always on on the browser
2) Disable pictures to make sure you boot original flash in market (browser-settings-advanced-uncheck display pictures)
3) Play any flash video with original flash app
4) Uninstall flash from market
5) Install modded flash.apk
6) play any hulu video now
If your flash settings are set to on demand u must scroll down and click the green arrow on the right next to "share this video" to enable the flash. otherwise u can keep flash on always on in settings. (i hate flash ads so i keep on on-demand)
For a frame rate boost u can go to browser-settings-advanced-and uncheck load images (thanks cowballz69)
also if u want an easier ui to access vids some ppl prefer http://www.hulu.com/widget/player but i think that is better suited for smaller phone screen
if u are having problems and it doesn't work make sure you have the new flash 11 installed from market, install the modded apk over top of that then uninstall Flash again and then install the modded apk. (Thanks MonsterAndroid)
I tried this on my original transformer using dolphin hd and it didn't work. It was installed but dolphin kept saying I needed to install flash player to view content. I'll try it on the prime to see if I can get it to work

I have the stock rooted rom and just copied the new apk to /system/app using Root Explorer and changed permissions to rw-r--r--. Renamed the .apk and .odex to .old.
Reboot. Works perfectly. Thanks OP!

I will, im just adding more options.
So far it's able to have Online video HD for 10 minute recording, also able to have 720p front cam video. Trying to get 1250 iso included and panorama and HDR. Those are being a pain in the butt.
edit: I am abandoning this mod. After taking some pics and checking the resolution on the computer, it may have unlocked the setting but not the resolution in the cam.
Do you think there is a possibility of any of those settings working once the kernel goes open source?

personally, i don't think it's kernel related. The 2mp is in resolution. we may be able to change that within the smali but no promises. I think the other may be possible by porting another camera app over.
If anyone wants a panoramic camera this works fine.

I can confirm that this works with the 1.22 OTA. I renamed Camera.apk and Camera.odex, then copied the .apk file from this zip file into /system/app using ES File Manager. At this point Camera disappeared from my Applications. Then give it a reboot and voila, camera is back! Shutter sound is now in the menus.

well, 1 link does work, so you don't have to do that, but it will probably be better in case that link stops working

Uhhh very cool as I have flashed a custom rom on my S3 and , well, I couldnt backup my stock rom due to low space. And I loved the alarm tones, they make my day every morning
None of the link above work. The 3rd link required password to login.
Links breaks
Broken Links
As others have mentioned, links are broken. I realize this is an old thread, but I was able to find the sound files I was looking for here:

Hopefully that will be helpful to someone else as well.
