[Q] Noob Questions

Hi Guys
Quick noob question
When you flash a single file using odin (for example the official XWKE7 in the rom flash guide), and you put this file in the PDA section, does this update the MODEM and CSC as well on the phone?
why there is one ROM file not 3 files to be put in the PDA, MODEM, and CSC sections of Odin
Thanks

There are some ROMs (like those stock ones) that have everything contained within the one file.
re-partition

what about re-partition and pit file, i have read in the guide that they should not be used
why is that ? what is the function of the pit file and when should we choose to re-partition?
Follow instructions for each individual firmware.

[Q] Where to find stock firmware?

I just have looked everywhere, but found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278. After download my country firmware, I have found several image files in the archive, that can be opened with Power ISO and no PDA, Modem or CSC files. What should I do with them? BTW, I need firmware with MSR CSC. Thank you in advance!

well i will answer this to you before you get someone having a go...you dont extract anything from the file you downloaded..you need to get odin which is the program to flash the firmware and if you did your reading you would of found it on the thread you just posted it up...before you do anything go back to the thread and read the first page and it has guides on exactly how to flash stock firmware

[Q] - Help - Flash original camera firmware?

Hi! How can i flash original camera firmware after i flashed .bin file RS_M5LS.bin (SIEG03). Now i can't flash my original firmware SCEF02 - GalaxyS2_CameraFirmware-11.6.01.apk because of some internal version check. I assume i need .bin file and flash it the same way i did with SIEG03. Where to get that .bin file? Or is there another way? Thnx.
Solved!

When flash stock firmware you must have 4 files PDA,CSC,MODEM,PIT. If firmware is one package then you can split it via splitfus. I recommend 4 files stock firmware. It is easy to flash.Search in Development and General Section, you will get your country's stock firmware.
Hit thanks if I help
