Im a newb to most of, so bare with me lol... Running 2.7 Xron and has been doing great with no issues until now. I wanted to update to 2.8 Lite but I keep getting the error that my memory is full. I have a 32g TP so I know its not any where near full, plus I haven't hardly installed anything cause of constant new releases of Xron lol (been using sense 2.2) but yesterday I tried to download the newest release and I started getting the message that my memory was full. Root explorer can no longer read my SD card, so that's the problem.. what happened and how can I fix it?
Thanks
resolved..
Well.. I booted into webOs and then back into Xron and it now recognizing the SD card... weird. But I am now able to download 2.8 lite

My phone's taking up this habit of rebooting (or so) randomly and automatically. It doesn't show any error or message and just reboots about twice a day... How did i know... My music widget did not display the last song paused and the up-time duration in the battery status was only a couple of hours (when infact I haven't shut it down)
Does anyone face this problem? Two things that could have made things go bad:
1. Using Verbatim Class 4 8gb MicroSDHC (heard problems with 8gb cards)
2. I rooted my phone partially (z4root did not work, superoneclick worked till halfway but I was able to access the root. Is there anything called incomplete rooting ). And after deleting the useless pre-installed apps... unrooted (again partially ) so that I can visit the Service Centre if things go worse.
Will the phone face problems if it reboots every once in a while. I don't mind it as long as it does not give me errors
Thanks,
Have you tried another sd?
AFAIK and with what i been seing arround here, that can be a card fault.
Incompatibilitys or something like that. It whouldn't be the first device like that.
Second change will be a hardware failure, wich is worst...
In my viewing, everything that is not normal, it's not good for your device.
So you should try to find a solution for it.
Cheers
my bad... Provided wrong info in the last post.
My system uptime is 48hrs which means my phone hasn't rebooted. But my status since last unplugged is 3 hrs but I last charged my phone more than 12hrs ago and I haven't plugged it to a computer as well. This number haas changed twice today...
I am thoroughly confused... Don't think there is a problem with my sd card as the phone runs perfect... All the games and music stored in the card play without problems... Guess I'll have to investigate further.
If anyone has any suggestion do let me know
I had this problem, too. And yes, It's SD-card related.
The uptime counter doesn't reset every time, but the last unplugged time does, as you noticed.
I flashed with the OC kernel, and surprisily, my phone is now fully stable. I don't know if the kernel did really the trick, but you could maybe give a try...

Can you please elaborate. Flashed the OC kernel... with what?
Did you reinstall the original firmware? Thanks!
I used the custom recovery and I selected the "Flash from zip file" option, it was very simple once you get the custom recovery working !
It doesn't erase your data, and it doesn't replace the original firmware, it's only a patch.
Do I need to install the custom recovery or is it pre-installed?
I don't think it is pre-installed. The key combination is not working. The phone starts up as usual.
And do we need to be rooted to carry this out. I'll try a soft reset meanwhile....
EDIT:
I got it. Need to use this "recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img" file to enable the custom recovery. If I put this file in the root of the sd card, will the key combination work? And what about the flash file? I'm sure it'll ask for the flash file when i select the option flash from sdcard.
I've experienced similar behavior, mostly using 3D apps. Google's Nav will usually result in a freeze/reboot. Quadrant has done it many times. When I was looking in logcat and bugreport it was showing messages like:
W/SharedBufferStack(223): waitForCondition(LockCondition) timed out (identity=223, status=0). CPU may be pegged. trying again.
I can't be positive if the SD card is the culprit (I haven't had a chance to replace the stock card yet), or if it's a software or hardware problem. I've only rooted and modified build.prop to enable jit and stagefright...and that's it.
edit:
Phone just crash when I opened the new updated google maps. Attached the logcat if anyone can glean some useful info from it.
Mine is definitely SD card related.... Flashed the original firmware but did not help. The SD card kept unmounting and remounting (no rebooting though).
Finally went back to the bundled sd card and no problem so far... But my other 8gb card is working perfectly in other phones and the pc as well (very good transfer speed and all) Even when I had it in my phone it was snappy.
But I read that a new firmware has been released. hopefully that will sort the issue... Fingers crossed.

There is a new version of the firmware, V10E.
You need to try that one.
I have the same phone and have no problems running a PNY 8 gig. card. I would try to re-rom your device but, be sure to back everything up first. If problem still persists try a differant sd card. ( class 3 or higher) I am currently running Cyanogen 2.3.3 with kernal update 2.6.32.9. OC to 806mhz. Semms to be running just fine. I hope that helps out.

Hi, I also facing the sd card problem. Can I update to v10e because my phone is v10a and rooted?
Before you guys upgrade, try this ....
Copy out all the data from your SD card, format your SD from the device, then copy the data back.
In addition, if you have shifted any Application data using the Move to SD card feature, suggest you move it back.
I used to have the reboot once a day, now I don't have it anymore ...
Formatting didn't work for me. Factory reset worked for a couple of weeks, but still got SD card unmounts with no apps moved to SD. The only thing that worked was physically removing the SD.
friend i got Phone on this saturday till then I was having problem of random reboot .like every time i play with my phone . i am using class 2 trascend 8gb made in taiwan micro sd card (but the problem of unmounting never occured to me).Main problem was of the random reboot .Then i flashed my phone with Unofficial port of CyanogenMod 7link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 it worked so greatly and now i am running phone for more then 3 hours without any problem(hope this time will increase).
PS :This mod doesn't have market application of android any one who can provide market.apk or vending.apk beacuse its convinient to download from there
Sd card isnt working after xCyanogenPro - Floyo - v3.2.1 flash i get message you can now remove your card when i plug it in. It worked before the flash
Sorry to tag onto your thread, but I didn't want to start a new one and create clutter just because the one thread that would be useful to post in is locked to new accounts :|
Ho hum. Anyways...
I'm running the 3.3 ROM and it's pretty much solid except for an annoying reboot bug which seems to tie into the issue you're having. I have no idea how to troubleshoot it, but it seems that the only time my phone every crashes and reboots with this ROM is after it displays a message saying it's safe to remove my SD card.
My SD card never gets removed as it has my Apps2SD partition on it, but nonetheless, every so often, that message comes up, the phone locks and then reboots. If you're still having this issue after upgrading to 3.3, maybe the two are connected somehow?
I guess only the devs can answer that!
Hello,
I had similar problem when I flash CM6, and lot of reboot, so I removed app2sd partition and reformat a new partition, since that no more issues.
Think to copy your files before formatting.
sorry for not posting in the bugs thread it wont let me. so i had uruk .7 installed on my a101it working good. i messed it up by deleted something, so i tried reinstalling it from a fresh start. cleared internal and sd car and started over. ever time (tried 6 times) and it always freezes on "urukDroid 0.7 boot: switching to rootfs... i have let it sit there for an hour and nothing. any ideas?
My A101 got same issue as you : frequently freeze and sometime abnormal symbol
appearing(like bletooth/mail message...) ??? I try to reinstall URUK 0.7 in another external SD card or internal SD card still got same issues?? I do not know how to improve and only awaiting new URUK 1.0 available by end of March!
My SD card died and caused a similar issue. See if you can format the SD card in a different device. Try installing urine without an SD card installed at all.

Hello, I have looked around the threads for possible solutions and have come up with none. I am currently using Telus Fascinate Galaxy S and currently running the stable CM7 with the Glitch kernel. I'm having troubles recieving text messages; it keeps telling me that there is full memory. The problem is that i have over 12GB of space on my sd card and it says 0.00B of space on the internal storage. I just flashed it and my internet works fine. Every other thread has found the solution in moving apps to the sd card but the difference with me is that I have no apps downloaded yet.. is there a known fix to this?
I had the same problem, did u flash the latest nightly by chance?? #181..
I don't know a fix persay, but if you free up some space in the /datadata, also found in /data/data, partition it will let your msgs come through.

Thanks for the reply, once a flashed the nightly 181 i got my text messages working again, however, any downloads i try to make still send the "free up some space and try again". i cleared all the cache's, moved everything i could to my sd card (which still has plenty of space) and i changed all my settings to install external and unchecked internal storage, if i try download anything from the internet or from the market, nothing works
I have now tried both MIUI and CM7 on my phone, both of them state that there is no internal memory (0.00B). Would there be a problem with the Glitch V13 kernal i'm using or is there a step in the flashing process i missed?
I'm running MIUI/glitch without the above issue. What was your install process?
I got most things working now, what modem are you running though?

[Q] External SD Card physically present; "No external storage available" message
Running CM10 - keep getting "No external storage available" when opening a camera app (proprietary, Instagram, etc.)
Attempted to mount external SD card in TWRP recovery - Won't recognize it.
My phone has definitely detected the external SD card before. This is a recent occurrence. I thought I fixed it the other night when I turned the phone off, removed the external SD card, reinserted it, and rebooted. It read the card again, but today when I tried to take a picture, the message was back.
Phone: HTC EVO 4G LTE
Hardware: 003
HBOOT: 2.09
DirtyRacun S-OFF
Recovery: TWRP 2.4.4.0
Any help is much appreciated!
Ive been having the exact same prob. try uninstall \re install twrp... worked for me !
Seeing the same symptoms. Running Deck's latest 10.2. I'm guessing something automatically updated in the store and caused problems. I had been using my phone all day and then it started acting weird.
im on the same rom ..maybe somthing specific to that build, .. i just uninstalled twrp .. reinstalled and now its all good
Will try that. Thanks.
that worked for awhile now my problem is back! .. really weird ..anyone have any ideas?
i"m thinking its a twrp problem .. but ive done a ton of TIBU uninstalls .. reinstalls with no luck .. cant flash any thing from twrp....and when i try to reinstall recovery image i get " no image available for this device" or somthing to that effect. this one really has me stumped!.
Have any of you tried mounting the sdcard to your computer through an adapter and checking for errors?
I have been having this issue from the first time I unlocked my phone and tried to install the 4.2 beanstalk rom when I go to camera or gallery etc it says no external storage, also when that happened it almost ruined my memory card all together but after multiple times of trying to get my laptop to read it finally did and I formatted it since then I have flashed many roms and noticed that I have this problem on all cm 10.2 android 4.3 roms except for the base cm 10.2 rom. I was on the DU (dirty unicorn) 4.2 rom for a while and loved it and decided to try the 4.3 version of it again and the same sd card problem came up and of course had to go back but now the sd card problem came up in that rom as well. currently im running the 4.4 cm 11 rom and it works in there. This problem has had me stumped for weeks and don't know how to get around it. Thought achieving s-off would fix this some how but it didn't.
I know your hurt brothers im looking for the answer as well
I reflashed TWRP to the latest version and that didn't fix the problem. I'm running CM 10.1.3, android version 4.2.2. Are you saying the 4.2 and 4.3 builds have this bug?
