hello,
sry i'm not anglophone but I try to explain explicitly as possible.
my Xperia X10 has stock rom. Android 2.3.3
I've downgrad, root and upgrade it as explained here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087
thereafter I tried to install a other rom
I tried a lot of different roms. with no one works the wifi modul!
I tried the combination listed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307044
and here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295089
and other
but nothings works ... phone started but not with working wifi modul.
thereafter, I tried different combinations from kernel and rom.
but I asked me why the recommended combinations doesn't work. (e.g. oodie & doomlord)
I did it as told in the how2, every thing works at the first go except the wifi modul.
Okay and now the cracker!
Since the last tries my display is stick horizontal!
it dont turn around when I turn the phone
I tried to reboot, I tried another rom, another kernel - nothing works!
Anyone who had the same problem or know a solution?
big thanks!
problem solved.
I used azuzu kernel down- and upgrade and installed the TEAM Rom which works fine.
Wifi modul works, display rotation works ...
Thread should be closed.
Selfhelping is the best way!

Hey Good day all, my WI-FI is not working, with the FeraLab v3. When tried to access it , its says error, not sure if anyone one else have have tried it but its not working for me. I really love the work that I'm seen in this ROM, one thing tho, the menu background is way to dark and not the best, if you could use the theme background that would be nice. thanks much
P.s I'm new and i have no idea were to start with build Roms Help.
Hi I'm using FeraLab v3 also, it's an awesome rom but I had a wi-fi problem too. I flashed the wi-fi module for the kernel I'm using, Doomkernel v6 and now it's works fine, even though the instructions say I didn't need to. You could try reinstalling the rom or flash the wi-fi module for the kernel your using. I've had some minor issues after flashing the rom for the first time and had them fixed after a reinstall.
As for the background, it is dark but I like it. As for changing the theme you could flash a new one, but it may alter things in the rom, not sure, can't help you there, I'm way too much of a noob still

what kernel do you have? most of the times is for the kernel unless the rom has a bug in it, try to find the kernel version and in all versions the developers post the wifi modules too, as a zip file, follow the instructions and flash it, in 5 minutes you will have your wifi back to life.
Flash relevant WiFi modules for the kernel u using.

have you tried doom's wifi module??
if you are using doom's kernal you can update doom's wifi module via xrecovery
Ayone? In the top of screen I have white stripe.....background of forum is also white but you can see it.. And why "screenshot app" is not icluded in notification bar?its much better.... everything else is ok..good rom..
thats the team battery app! you can ennable/disable in the app!!

Remember to do a few reboots before installing patch, then install patch, theme then start the Rom up and do a few more reboots.
That's how you should really finish on installing it
Sent from FeraLabs v;3.0 Rom + patch +theme = best Rom ever for my x10. (Xda Premium)

I know this report should rather be posted in the developer forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780326), but as I've just registered, I'm not allowed to post there, so I hope you all will excuse me.
I've been testing the latest CyanogenMod 10 version (FXP145) on my Xperia Active (ST17i), tried both the bundled and DDS kernel, but I've been encountering two bugs:
Gallery bug
Right after the ROM starts and I insert my PIN, I get a message: "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped". Everything then works as expected, no trouble with the gallery or anything else, just this (a bit annoing, but not deadly) message.
WiFi bug
I'm unable to connect to a WPA2-PSK protected network. An unsecured WiFi works well, but WPA2 gets into a loop, where it keeps trying to authenticate and aquite an IP. I tried to change my hostname, tried to change the kernel to DDS, nothing helped. It seems like the same bug that's troubling the stock ICS for Xperia Active, though how it got into the JB is a mystery. In all the custom ICS kernels I tested (with the fixed WLAN modules) it worked well, but the fix is not usable in the JB kernel.
In the DDS kernel thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956283) there seemed to be some talking about WiFi trouble since FXP144, but it puzzles me that no one else seemed to notice anyting (might be very isolated bug).
Just wanted to report my findings and see if I'm the only one having these trouble and if there's something to be done about it...
https://code.google.com/p/freexperia/issues/list
Thanks, gotta admit I know about this bug list, I was hoping to get some feedback on the matter before posting it as a bug (because here I know that I'm talking to people with similair phones, in the buglist, my phone and bug will be quite rare).
probably its just you, or everyone else haven't notice it yet. u should do clean install with cm default kernel and try to replicate the bug. if its still there then just do bug report with logcat included on the fxp's googlecode page. that should help fxp to fix the bug (if its a bug).
I have no problem with wpa2 psk I use it everyday with the kernel in the rom zip. May be u can give a try with mesa kernelv2.2 by an0nym0us Im currently using it with no wifi trouble. & if u want the gallery force close to be fixed u can go through it

Thanks for the tip for the first bug. As for the second one, I thought MESA kernel isn't compatible with CM10? I remember reading in an0nym0us's MESA thread, that CM10 isn't mature enough, so he's not using it and his kernel is not made to be used with it (maybe he'll correct me, if I'm wrong ).

So, I've been experimentating some more during the weekend and: I've tested the WiFI with the following: a clean installation of FXP145 (+its original kernel), FXP146 (and its original kernel) and finally with MESA v2.2 for JB + FXP146, tried to delete wlanfixed and reboot twice. The problem is always the same, WiFi generally works, but doesn't want to connect to my WPA2+AES protected router. There is no MAC filtering or anything like that enabled on the router. Just to be sure I'll try to find the ICS kernel + ROM that used to work and test it again, so I can see there is a working config.

Alright, after hours of flashing and booting, I need to correct my first statement and appologize for misleading all of you. After testing 4 ICS kernels with various ROMS (stock+stock ROM, Rage v3.2 + HaSa MIUI v2.11.2, Mesa v2.2 + RealICSLite r4, KernelPanic v1.25 + HyperbeamCream v4.0) I can confirm, that WiFi with WPA2+AES security works on none of them (with my Xperia Active). It only works on GB (tested with stock kernel + ROM and also Rage v3 + Hasa v5) .
Looks like I'm stuck with GB, because both ICS and JB Wifi drivers fail to work properly for me :-/.

I think you would have done it but still, have you tried factory wipe from CWM AFTER flashing the kernel? I've faced this problem sometimes but doing factory wipe after flashing the kernel helped me.
Press thanks if I helped you

What I generally did during the tests was this:
1) Enter CWM and do a full wipe (data, cache, system, dalvik cache)
2) Flash Kernel
3) Flash ROM
4) Test WiFi
5) if the Wifi does not work -> fiddle with the ROM
- delete wlanfixed and reboot twice
- flash some wifi fixes, reboot, test
Though I did follow the instructions written for each kernel and ROM, so sometimes I did the wipes after the kernel flash.
i have installed and running the rom successfully, after the installation of the rom, wifi didnt work so, i have flashed a wifi kernal from xrecovery its working fine now.I have a trouble in GPS,when I switch it on,it works fine but when i want to turn it off it dosent. The GPS icon in the status bar appears and it dosnet go off until a reboot.Should i need to flash any kernal file for GPS? please help me..!!

I've used that rom since one year ago. Sometimes, not always, that happens to me too. I did not find how to fix it. I think it is a bug and the only way I found to making it work again is rebooting...
rom
thats what am doing..Do you know any other better rom for xperia X10?
I tried feravolt ICS4 but it was too unstable. If you are looking something like the Wolf rom maybe the DonutHD is your rom. I heard it is very stable, but It is a GB rom too...
Hello,
I have a problem with my wifi. It doesnt work well in my own house (Thomson TG789vn router).. I am connected, but only every 10 seconds or something it really works..In all other places it works perfect only not in my own house. This started when I installed the latest version of the 2.6.32 nAa JB kernel for my xperia x8 and installed mini cm10 4.10. The strange thing is that it works on previous kernels...
I tried many things,
- reinstall cm10
- restarted router
- use different wifi channel (just random)
- edit wifi scan interval
- tried several google play apps
- downloaded and flashed a fix for wifi on jelly bean
Solutions?

Have you tried finding a replacement kernel, rebooting to recovery and flashing the kernel over the rom. I have seen alot of cases that it is just a bug in the rom, You have to understand that these are custom creations with flaws. try reverting to stock everything, checking to see if the problems still exist, if they are still there then it might point to your device itself.
hello first of all thanks to iiandskater for this lovely rom.i really love this rom, hence i was using cm10 for my sk17i ,after i see this rom i tried to install it on my sk17i,i followed the steps just like ur post, first i wiped all and afterwards i flashed jv 5.3 and then dev files for mango also then gapps and keyboard but afterwards i got one bug that my hardware keys are not working:crying:.so i saw from ur thread 1) first flash jv 5,3 then 2) addons 3)key board language packs 4)flashed dev for files for mango u provided and it worked for me :good: but all of the times i was not getting wifi even i downloaded the kernel that u provieded.i really appreciate your hardwork for making this rom ,hope i will get a solution and sorry for anything i mentioned here badly because its my first post:crying:

finally WIFI is working fine in my sk17i with jellyvanilla 5.3
i installed fxps cm10.2
and i thought of trying jv again
so i first flashed kernel provided in the zip
and then
done full wipe
system,cache,and system format
:good:
then installed jv from recovery
but first i was not able to boot in to recovery but afterwards i installed xparts from the market and then clicked boot in to recovery from that
but again i wasnt able to boot in to recovery then i saw post from devs forum it happens due to minor bug in fxps kernel so after clicking boot in to recovery just need to press menu button once and it worked perfect for me
:good:
and i flashed light gapps and xperia keyboard and booted again
and my wifi was working perfectly in my sk17i
but only one issue is my hardware keyboard is not working
so i flashed the dev files for mango too
and now my hardware keyboard also working and thanks iiandskater for this perfect rom for my sk17i
keep up the good work
hope i can get this rom for my st16i
