Hello everyone.
I wrote this app to allow a user to lock the screen rotation in landscape, portrait or auto. The app is very simple, when you click on it, you're faced with these three options.
I searched on the Market for an app that would lock the screen in landscape mode and found only one paid app that does it but actually runs a service continuously in the background. This app is free and does not have any running background services
so without further ado . . .

Tested and works fine on stock 407, does exactly what it sounds like it does.
Does not affect the lock screen though, it's still whatever default orientation you have.
i was think if the patch we used for manually locking the screen orientation to potrait of landscape can be made for the venue either .
Rotation locker ultimately works better since you lock to either landscape or portrait without having to reflash. With this it basically mimics what's in HC.
With the orientation patches you can do one or the other, but to switch you need to undo/redo the patch. The orientation patch is rather hackish, it's more akin to android recovering from a glitch. Regardless I use both as the rotation patch also fixes the lockscreen.

So I am currently using a submicron wall paper and circle launcher as my main screen. I am also using Launcher pro and a 3x3 screen set up so that I have three columns and three rows in which apps can appear on as I need no more. (Screen shots included). Now if you see my circle in the middle is ever so slightly off and this, well it pisses me off to be frank. So does anyone know how to fix this?

Secondly if I try to go into landscape orientation everything, and I mean everything is all wonky! So that my center doesn't line up, my widgets are all off and its just bad! Is there a fix to make it look like its in portrait mode, as in the design and widgets overlay on the same parts or do I just have to suffer??

I took the image file straight from here and used the 800x480 I believe
If you need any more info please do not hesitate to ask!
I appreciate all the help
how many home screens are you using? The image may not be oriented correctly because it is stretching it to fit the entire span...
Just a guess. Not all screens are designed to work in landscape mode or you might need to change the number of rows/columns in your landscape setting to give the widget space.
on rooted HKW 2.3.4 I installed chainfire 3d to get my adored nightmode back, and whenever i switch orientation from portrait to landscape, and then back to landscape, the whole screen gets caught in like this blurred (see what I did there?) bizarro world. opening any app fixes it, but the notification bar remains stuck. I don't want to uninstall the chainfire driver any ideas?

Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Hi.
After initial usage (tablet reset), chrome and other applications are always maximized (instead of windowed) in desktop/pc mode.
I have not made anything for this to happen and this is anoying me deeply. And I don't know what is causing this issue. These application where working windowed in desktop mode (for instance Clash of Clans game) and now (after reboot) it is always in fullscreen (it still has the taskbar). Also, chrome lost te "unmaximize" window button, it only has maximize and minimize buttons.
Anyone else has this problem ? Any fixes or way to customize these settings? attaching a working example. Now the app is always maximized.

If you go into settings > lock screen > shortcuts
and then place flashlight as one of the shortcuts (which I recommend by the way), and lets say, place camera on the other side..
For some reason, the flashlight is (also) toggled by tap rather then swipe like the other widgets.
(same thing for the Do Not Distrub mode)
This causing a lot of accident toggles from edge palm holding and I find my flashlight on by accident multiple times..
I couldn't find any way to change the way the flashlight is toggled, swipe is perfectly fast enough for me and secure enough to avoid accidental toggles.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!
I had the same issue and after the last update, it went back to swipe.

Yeah same here! thank you Samsung guys who read my posts! much appreciated!
so pretty happy with my new 10t...only thing is that the Spotify playback doesn't have scrubber option on lock screen even when i swipe down on it...tried all notification settings but to no avail...anyone got any ideas why?
https://imgur.com/NAtffkw
also in the notification drawer, the spotify/youtube playback window is small and not expanding across as can be seen below:
https://imgur.com/a/GdabwA0
is there anyway to get it like this?

no one?
If I swipe down and expand out the quick settings I get the scrubber. This works both on the lock screen and any other screen. I have not changed any settings related to this, just works as default.
