Can you find the folder where those photos are? If you can see it using a file manager, create a file inside that folder and name it .nomedia
Disable Instant Upload in your Google+ settings. Or under Settings > Accounts and sync, IIRC
Seriously, don't people read anymore? G+ prompted if you wanted to enable Instant Upload, and even gave a short description of it.

Hi folks,
For some reason I can only attach pictures to Gmail emails. This is really annoying as I'd like to attach a pdf which I downloaded using the browser but it doesn't seem to give me that option?! There is a "downloads" section when I browse for an attachment, but it only shows images I've downloaded.
Does anyone know how to fix this..?
Thanks,
James
Just tried in Astro - scroll to the actual PDF on your SDCard and press and hold - bottom option is send, choose this and it gives you Via Gmail or Via HTC mail options.
Not actually sent anything but that looks like it should work...

I can see why you think you have a problem if you create a email & try to send it the only files you can see are picture files but if you follow Daisy's advice & use a file manager to select the pdf (or any other file type for that matter) it will work for you.
Good afternoon, I also have a problem with attachments and GMail. But actually the opposite of the above. I would like to save some mail attachments to my phone, but somehow this feature is missing. And ideas?
i have another problem with the gmail app. when i get a mail with , lets say, a picture attached, i am not able to download and store that picture, just to watch it (even if i click on "download").. is there any other possibility within the gmail app to do so?
on stock gallery I didn't see this folder but on ics gallery I see these albums that I am not able to delete. I am searching with rootexplorer the folder to put .nomedia file but I didn't found them. I think that these files are related to google plus account.
Could you help me?

That is Picasa pictures sync. To disable, go to Settings->Accounts&Sync->(Enable auto-sync at the top if disabled or you won't be able to uncheck it)->Google->Disable Picture Picasa Sync.
Go back and uncheck Auto-Sync if needed.
If you want to stop seeing them in the Gallery, go to Settings->Apps->Gallery->Delete Data
If needed, you can also go to SdCard->Android->Data and delete the 2 folders containing 3dgallery (com.android.3dgallery and another with similar name).
I just did it before writing it for you

Have you done all the previous steps about disabling Google Picasa Sync and deleting Gallery data in Settings?

Re: Please help DELETE INSTANT UPLOAD FOLDER ON PHONE?
I called Sprint and spoke to a tech. What you need to do is go to your Gmail on the web browser in desktop mode. Click on the tab that says "more", then click on the tab that says "drive." Make sure you're still in desktop mode on the "Welcome to Google Drive" screen. On that screen you're going to want to select the "more" tab again and a drop down selection box appears and you want to select the "photos" option. Once in there, you should be able to delete single photos or entire albums from instant upload. Once deleted here, they no longer appear on your device. I just did it, and it worked like a charm.
Good luck!
I got a Galaxy S3 (International Edition) just yesterday
I enabled it to pull stuff from my google accounts, but then when I'm going to open the contacts, I see a bunch of my gmail contacts
How can I remove those from the phone? Selecting to display 'only contacts with phones' seems to fix it, but the email contacts are still available to be seen if one goes to settings and sets to display all contacts again
The same happens with the gallery application, it has like one album for each image I've ever published in Google+, I can set it to display only images from the phone, but then this is not a permanent setting, everytime I exit the Gallery app and re-enter it, it will display all the images from G+ (and I've heard that it will scan the microSD at launch for images, so it will become a clutter of every possible image it can find in the SD)
I have now disabled the sync of google contacts / g+ stuff to the phone, from settings -> accounts and sync -> uncheck sync google photos/google+/picasa web albums/contacts, so it doesn't pull down new stuff anymore, but the old stuff is still there
Is there any way to remove that?
Is there a good gallery app that will not scan the whole SD for media, nor will pull stuff from picasa/google+?
Thanks!
quick pic is the gallery app for you, you can select which folders to see, or just long press a folder and hit exclude

Now just delete local files and you should be fine.
If you have a lot of them I would suggest to use File Browser such as ASTRO.
there are some folders in my gallery that i cannot open nor delete and it shows that there are no pics in them but still take up like 83 mb. This started happening the first time i connected my phone to the computer and when i reconnect it, the folders dissapear until i take a pictur then all three folders reappear. here is what it looks like
Those are shared folders from other devices connected to the same wifi router.
Also, Phil Dunphy rules!

Access your Gmail account from your PC (or even the browser on the desktop settings). Go into settings and disable or delete Picasa from there.
