[Help] TheMyth ICS Lite - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

My phone reboots after I turn Wifi on. I don't know what is the problem.

i am using myth lite as well.. so far didnt encounter any prob.. try reflashing.. but b4 that.. do a full wipe 1st

man it is working good enough for me
but yea when i open wifi from status bar
it wont show me the wifi around
i need to go to settings for that
but it is not restarting for me
i will say you need to reflash it

i didi a full wipe before and after flashing the Beta 2 Full
Its perfect for me

What is your baseband? I used kpn(blackhawk rom) before flashing themyth ics lite. I already tried to reflash many times but the problem is still there.

Try flashing a different Stock ROM (maybe a stable 2.3.4) and then reflashing via CWM

Best rooting method for stock 2.3.5.?

Hello,
Apparently, upd_1.zip method doesn't work, and SuperOneClick 2.3.3 can't root stock 2.3.5.
How can I root my Ace?
What's the error you are getting?
Is it something like status 7?
I also encountered similar issue.
1st time stock ROM root is OK. After roll back from custom ROM to same stock ROM, I got this error!
Try to wipe cache, format etc .. It works for me!
yeh I had that problem for like 5 weeks trying to root my ace but it had no root access !
OK so download cf-root b3
and flash with cwm 4
then just flash a different rom !
that simple
now I have root and a custom from!!!

I'm not getting any error, I read about experiences with both these tools and I'm pretty sure they can't root the device with stock 2.3.5. firmware. I want to know if anyone had success in rooting 2.3.5. and what tools had been used.

I don't want to flash a new firmware or a new recovery. I just want to root my phone so that I can remove some pre-installed applications.

Stock 2.3.5 ? I rooted it using the upd_1.zip file. Worked for me. Try the file posted in 'ZIP file to root ace" in this section. It might help.

Updated my brand new galaxy two days ago. Had no problems and was locked to the three network.
Used stock recovery to flash cwm v4 and then used this to apply the root update zip.
I am now running nimms amazing cm 7.2 rom and have had no problems.

trust me, my method is the only way , I've try all .zips and program won't work! only if you change roms :/

i think u should try the new CM9 rc1 or Ressuruction Remix v2.5.2 and u will for sure will forget 2.3.X since they also come with lot of tweaks and themes and u have OTA update facility with RR 2.5.2 just check those thread once and then decide
If you are going from ICS to GB with out wipe, you get boot loop
I solved this problem..flashed ics bootloader ,i will move to ics after few weeks...

AW: Cant start my phone after flashing....
Have u wipe data and cache? If not, Boot into recovery and Marke the wipes. than restart again.

Brother, you flashed a jelly bean kernel so you can just run CyanogenMod10 based roms(android 4.1.2 roms)
If you're going to flash a gingerbread rom(CyanogenMod7) (android 2,3) you must use a gingerbread kernel like : "nAa 14 gingerbread for x10mini"
Good Luck

If you're still on HC, its best to upgrade to stock ics first.

That's correct. Stock ICS will give you the correct Bootloader required for the custom ROM you wish to to flash.
Cheers.
