Peggle is FINALLY available as a Wifi only download from the Amazon App Store as the FREE app of the day. After today (6/21), it's $2.99.
I tested it on my NC running Phiremod 6.3, and it works fine. It's a bit fuzzy (like Plants vs. Zombies), but it's better than nothing... and it's FREE!
I've heard of this game but never played it. I didn't get into apps until I got the NC. I'm still playing Plants Vs. Zombies by the way.
im on cm7 on my nook and it wont let me download it. says its incompatable with my device.. howd you get it?
Same, I can't download it either.
EDIT: Fixed. Purchase the app through the web store, and then open the Amazon App Store app, go to the My Apps section and install from there.
Yeah very weird considering how low end the game is.

What are you running?
I'm on CM7, and it when I try to install from the app store app it says "incompatible with device"
EDIT: Nevermind! It installed after trying 3 times....

I used my Windows browser to complete the "purchase" even though it's free. It prompts you to let you know it's incompatible but you can choose to continue.
Once in my Amazon AppStore account, I can download it without trouble.
I had it installed on my phone and then got it on my nook via the Amazon App Store. Later on I made the mistake of trying to move it to SD card, it failed and I ended up uninstalling it. I am unable to re-download it now from "My Apps" while in the Amazon App Store account.
Any suggestions?
Hi everyone,
I recently installed the CyanogenMod-7.1.0-tenderloin-alpha3.5 mod on my HP Touchpad.
Overall i find it a bit buggy, but it is still pretty awesome.
I have one major problem that I cannot seem to find a way around. When i first installed the mod, i tried to download the amazon app store. the app wouldn't install and i received the message that the download "failed".
so i tried the next day and it downloaded no problem. i used the amazon app store for several days and then one day apps that i selected would not download. i tired clearing the app data, rebooting, and nothing worked, so i decided to delete the amazon app store app and try to download it again. however now i cant download it.
i searched this forum and saw the tip to delete the device from your list of devices on amazon. i did that and it still wont work.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
I would just say keep trying. I have been using the Amazon App Store on my Touchpad since alpha 1 with no hang up and I'm on 3.5 as well.
After doing the update to alpha3.5, be sure to reset the date and time in the settings, otherwise lots of apps will suddenly stop working.
The date and time are correct, but the app store still will not download
When I did mine I was having issues as well but there was an option to have them email it to me. Then I just downloaded it from my email and ran it on the touchpad...
The only problem I am having is logging into my amazon app store through the programs app. I can login to the Amazon mp3 app fine. Also can login to webpage for amazon app Page... JUST not the app login. Frustrating because apps I bought through them require the functional login to be correct.
Anyone know of a solution?
I am running rooted, verizon version of artic. Just updated to 2.3.3. Just to point out, 2.3.1 also failed similar fashion.
Oh and bluetoith doesn't reboot device... So things are looking good. Who ever is working on this tonight, nice job!
Is it possible to watch Amazon Prime Video on this tablet?
I've installed the Amazon app (phone version, not "for Tablets") and Prime Instant Video on my brand new Nexus 9 using the Amazon App Store. With my previous tablet, this would allow me to watch Prime Video using the Amazon app.
But with the Nexus 9, the "Video" option is missing from the pull out menu.
I'm interested in any possible workaround!
No, it doesn't work. If you sideload the Amazon Instant Video apk and run it you just get an error message saying its not supported. Thanks, Amazon....

Where did you get thr Amazon app store app? The one I have installed will open but none of the apps will populate.
That's strange it works on my note 4 and Gs5.

You're right, very disappointing! But I'm not going to buy a ****ty Fire tablet. Let's hope Amazon come to their senses, soon.

Amazon Prime streaming on Android is offered for phones only - not tablets. On my previous Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (don't buy that device) I was able to side load the phone app and get video streaming to work that way. But Amazon seems to have the Nexus 9 blacklisted for being a "tablet".
Since it worked on my N7 FHD running L preview once I upgraded the app to 5.1, I was hoping it would work on N9.

Could you not just edit the build.prop to make the Amazon app think that's it's an allowed device?

I haven't tried this yet, but it's likely the only option for the foreseeable future. Let's hope Amazon change their ridiculous Kindle tablet strategy sooner rather than later!
Curious, if you change the build.prop for one app does it not mess
up the other apps?
I'm extremely interested in getting AIV working too. I actually complained to amazon and they cited the no tablet policy, I griped that it worked on my Nexus 7 and I see no reason at all why they would block tablets. They basically said sorry and credited me $5 which was nice but now it looks like I have to hack something.
I've not tried this on a Nexus 9, but have you tried Firefox and Flash using the old Flash apk that's lying around? I can view Amazon Instant on my Nexus 7 this way. It even supports full screen viewing.
Update: as it turns out my Nexus 9 was stuck on an older firmware and the OTA failed for some reason, even if I tried sideloading them. I got the latest image from Google and wiped my N9 and put that on and now amazon prime will play videos and doesn't show the unsupported device message.
I am seeing a lot of buffering but that's a whole different issue.
Regarding Flash, crashes Firefox for me every time.

after you loaded the factory image from google, did you have to do anything special or just install the amazon for tablets app from the play store. Going to work on this on my nexus 9 tonight, but in order to get it working on my nexus 7 with lollipop I had to install the amazon appstore app, then install the amazon shopping app (for phone) from within the amazon appstore.

Are you also stuck on the original shipping version of 5.0? I was stuck on the one that isn't available for download, and my updater said everything was up to date.
Near as I am aware the only way to get the prime instant video app is from the amazon app store so you need that to get it. Then the instant video app will likely tell you to go get the amazon store app as well even though you might already have that from the play store. Apparently the AIV needs the special amazon store app from their app store.
Update 2: it appears the buffering issue isn't amazon's fault, there are plenty of video playback issues with Android 5 it seems.
I'm forced to admit this is the worst Android experience I've ever had and it certainly isn't limited to this one little issue.

I'm on build 5.0 (LRX21R).
The process you describe above is exactly what I had to do to get it working on my 2012 Nexus 7. However, with my Nexus 9 I'm encountering an issue with the Amazon appstore app - it installs with no issue, but when I try to sign into my amazon account I get an error message and I'm unable to log-in.
Thanks for your reply/help.

I had the same problem with the store app, seemed to be related to multiple downloads IMO. Check your downloads folder and see if you have their store app downloaded multiple times with a (2) or such at the end of the file, if so delete all copies of the store app downloaded. Clear data on the store app and uninstall that, then download one copy of the store app from amazon, it shouldn't have ()in the file name. Try again with that one.
Edit: it might also be too many attached devices in amazon. There is a place to clear those out on amazon if it's loaded up with a bunch of different devices.
I got it working.
1. Deinstall amazon app from your device.
2. Install the amazon app-shop from amazon website (i used this URL: http://www.amazon.de/gp/mas/get/android/ref=mas_rw_ldg&tag=an-artikel21)
3. Install the amazon app from the app-shop app (!not Form Google play store)
4. install the amazon instant Video app from amazon app-shop app
5. have fun watching videos
Good luck. Greetz

BN now has the Nook Reader App 4.0 on the Play Store. It even runs Kids books just like the stock reader. But Play Store shows it as incompatible with the Nook HD/HD+. It does run fine, just Play Store will not allow it to be installed so that it cannot be installed on the stock software and interfere with the stock version. The solution is to manually install the apk file to CM yourself. I have uploaded the apk file to my Dev-Host server account here:
http://d-h.st/BIPH
Thank you for sharing.
Edit: will not actually load any of my side loaded content. Sees it. Let me add to library, but won't let me open any of it. Alidko opened them fine.
This app was eating my processor time and battery, slowing down my device. I finally traced it to the nook service trying to keep me informed of things. I was able to fix it by going to settings, apps, and selecting the nook reader app. There I unchecked the show notifications box and all was well.
Edit: well spoke too soon. All was well because I force stopped the app also. As soon as I opened the app again that service started to eat me again. May need to go back to prior version which I had archived.
Edit2: I think I found the problem. First, I uninstalled and reinstalled the 4.0 app. That fixed my inability to see my sideloaded books. Second, I went to settings and in downloads unchecked both newspapers and magazines for automatic downloads. I subscribe to a magazine and the service was automatically downloading a new issue. That is what was eating my processor. All ok now. I love how the new version displays the magazines.
