I made a small APK [Tegra2Tableau] with a permanent overlay showing the CPU temperature.
As soon as I'm nothing like a GUI guru (I prefer applications without any GUI) I intentionally made it trivial. Anyone willing to reshape the application and provide more features and better GUI may ask for source code and explanations if necessary.
The APK works with Atrix and probably with other Tegra2 units (untested).
The reason to create such a APK was the suspicion the overclocked kernels start at maximum clock regardless the limitations governor and SetCPU temperature protectors apply.
I found that at the end of my phone boot the CPU temp is well above 70C.

The APK itself (root required) updated 31/12/2011:

Install, select "enable overlay", press OK.
To disable: run again Tegra2Tableau, unselect, press OK. Or just uninstall the APK.
I'm always ready to answer your questions except for the quality of GUI. Again, I don't know how to write a good user interface. OK?
Forgot to mention...
Try the following:
- When enabled, set automatic lock "on", screen timeout "off" (so it stays on) and reboot.
- You'll see the overlay right above the Lock screen with immediate "after the boot" temperature.

Im using the app called Root Tools v1.9 on my rooted LG Optimus V, but im unfortunately encountering errors using some functions in this application. I atached a couple screen shots below to better show whats going on. Basically, when I open the app, I get 5 options:
App Management
Goodie Add-ons
Tweaks & Hacks
Reboot Options
Help/About
Now, every option works except the section Tweaks & Hacks. When I click Tweaks & Hacks it also gives 5 more options, which include:
Ad Blocker
Build Properties
Manage Cache
Free Memory
Miscellaneous
Here's where the errors start.
If I even attempt to use any of the options under Tweaks & Hacks it gives me a "toast" type notification that states "Error while running command! Probably could not gain root". *Photo below
Note, I DO have root access. Superuser permissions are fully granted for this app. Superuser binary is up to date. Custom busybox is installed through Superuser.
So, whats the deal? Anyone have any clue whats going on?

Download or start up your favorite build.prop editor. (ROM Toolbox is what I use)
After opening your build.prop editor, look for persist.splitwindow.support_all (located a little above the middle of the list)
It'll say False... So simply change it to True and then reboot.
Now test it out. You'll notice real quick why this setting isn't enabled... Not all apps have been scripted to support this feature yet. Feel free to post screen shots of apps that work nicely with this feature "unlocked".
Last thing: I am NOT responsible for any damages to your device. But if you have questions... Fire away.

That was the first mod that I did after rooting my Sprint LG G3 - I went to the Play store and download the pay version of "Multi Window Mod" for LG G3, and you can add only the apps that you want and organize them any way you want - more like my Galaxy S3 with "Multi Window Manager"
I have about 175 apps total so having them all in Multi Window Choice doing it via a Build Prop mod was to overwhelming for me. Yes, I do use that many apps (some more frequent than the others)
Check it out if if you have a lot of apps!
I want to do the thermal mod but when I type the code it only shows a minimal amount of options (not every single option) is there app or mod that will give me the full menu?
Here all im getting:

yeah but like what would I search (thanks for the suggestion)
Try searching for the text you're supposed to change.
BUT, rather than completely turning off thermal throttling, I would recommend this approach:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/thermal-mod-t2907363
No chance you'll melt down your G3 this way.

Use shortcut master lite that should work fine.
Ok, but is there a way to get the full menu? Like I want to have access to the full menu like every single option not just the ones for the termal mod.
Or can someone post screen shots so I do know what to search for
Curious also I need to see it also to turn off otas
Right now I'm using the LG L7X P714 with stock but rooted Kitkat 4.4.2 firmware.
I can see that there are many options to record the phone's screen even if the rom is the stock, rooted or not. But no matter what app I try, and even after using the command from adb like developer.android says, which I suppose it has to work fine in every single terminal with Kitkat... it simply doesn't!
All I get is an mp4 file with pink and green lines.

What I do in adb is:
Code:
$adb shell screenrecord /storage/external_SD/filename.mp4
Also I tried modifying the values of "--size" and "--bit-rate" without success.
Code:
$adb shell screenrecord --bit-rate 4000000 --size 420x800 /storage/
external_SD/prueba04.mp4
The 420x800 are supposed to be the LG P714 screen dimensions.
I've read some things like let the phone use the hardware and not the software, or let it use GPU instead of CPU. I'm not sure but once I tried this app called Recordable and it's the ONLY app that allows me to record the screen.
When the option "Use Hardware" is activated:
THIS is how the mp4 looks like:
BUT if that option is not activated and the options are set to highest quality AND full screen resolution:
This is how the result looks like:
Resizing images seems impossible. Whatever.
So, yes, it is possible to record the screen but, how can I achieve that directly from my pc's adb in just one simple line like it is supposed to be??? What is wrong with the Use Hardware option? What else do I need here, logcat?

Will give it a try!
Initially I think the ability to add more to the screen would be nice. Like for example steps. Or both watch and phone battery. Just as some examples.
