Help!!! I accidentally deleted the stock launcher - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi
I accidentally deleted the launcher when I went to delete another apk in system/app
I'm using de stock rom on xperia mini pro (sk17i)
How I can fix it? I don't have other launcher installed.

push original home.apk via adb

If you turned off your phone, you'll need to flash the software back.
Had similar problem with my phone, "updated" with SEUS. My phone's factory reset now, but it's totally working.

I flashed the stick firmware again ! Thanks !

Because this has happened to me quite a lot of times, when im trying to alter something in the original home.apk, what i have done is, i have another launcher (ADW for example) on my computer. When something goes fubar, i just install ADW, then i get in the system folder (if inaccessible with adb) and replace the ****ed up home.apk with the original home.apk .

Instead of flashing its better to use "Android Sideload wonder machine" to install stock launcher.
Thats all

neroyoung, thanks ! I will use in the future

If you're on custom ROM,try Fix Permission in xRecovery.

[REQ]Stock X8 Lancher

Hello,
Could someone post apk file of most stock launcher of X8. I mean the one which drawer icon is an arrow pointing up and when you press menu kes (leftmost one) vertical, iPhone like menu appears.
Thanks in advande
Flash stock rom, root and use root explorer to get it from system apps
It won't work so don't bother.
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
I saw that Launcher on SROM (Android 2.2) but I'm not sure that it will work on GingerBread.
The problem is that I don't have a X8. If I have one then I won't be asking
I'm gonna try extracting an apk from the SROM.
Edit:
I got the "App is not installed" problem.
Edit 2:
When installing with adb it says "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES".
Bump, and...
I've succeed in installing the SROM's Launcher2.apk but I'm getting FC every single time I'm trying to run that Home Screen. Anyone know why?
You need to put semc permission files into system folder, try to flash those permissions via xrecovery. With them I've installed original se launcher on 2.3.7 x8, but it doesn't work properly. Also there are some screenshots from fde V2.2.2 (2.3.7android) with stock launcher
thanx
very nice application. Does it works wonder [ROM] LinuXperia ESCHA Arch V1 - V2 - V3 ?
Actually I'm trying to install it on a Samsung Galaxy Ace (CM7.1 with CWM recovery). I'm gonna try to install the premissions manually.
Ed. Files copied and replaced. Still FCs.
@romanalien Could you post a screnshoot of what happens after pressing the menu key?
As I said, the app doesn't work properly, when you're trying to press menu it FC's, I don't know why.
Damn it. It is actually only the menu in the launcher I want.

[Q] Apps disappear after reboot

I've installed new custom firmware on my Xperia P (Android 4.1.2, Honami Moonwalker 4.2, Phantom kernel 5.4), and now I've encountered a major problem. If I install Skype (either from APK or from Titanium Backup) and reboot, it's no more installed. Before rebooting it works fine. Google Talk (installed from APK, TB or CWM) was replaced by Hangouts, then I somehow managed to eliminate Hangouts and now Talk just disappears just like Skype.
Same problem with the keyboard: whenever I restore the old Sony keyboard from the backup it gets replaced with the new one after rebooting.
As far as I understand it's a common problem in 4.1.2, not a specific bug of my device or firmware. What's the source of the problem and how can I solve it?
Thank you.
I have the same problem. But Skype icon works, it don't work with Pou, VDM and City Island. Them icons disappear.
Moonwalker 4.2 with stock kernel
@jufofu
What if you replace the apps manually?
Does the problem still appear and which Xperia Home do you use ?
Better you dont restore apps with titanium back up like hangouts etc and just install them with playstore and if you want the old keyboard back do it by replacing replacing etc with right permissions etc.

Well, I'm pretty bad at replacing them manually, I didn't even manage to find them after installation.
But somehow the problem seems to have solved (almost) itself. After one of the iterations Skype didn't disappear, and when I installed Talk, it remained too.
Now the only problem is the keyboard. Where can I take the old one from and where should I put it? Will one extracted from TB's archive files be okay?
By the way, I'm using the modified Xperia Launcher 1.3.7c, but it's obviously not a launcher problem: Talk used to be replaced by Hangouts, and it's not a thing to blame a Launcher for. I've heard of people having this (or similar) problem even on Samsung phones with stock firmwares.

Home APK Sony Xperia Z2 [HELP]

Hello guys,
I had been trying to install some Xperia Z3 Widgets, Home Screens and other stuff to my Z2. Unfortunately I accidentally replaced the Home.apk with one of the many that can be installed from the Z3, rooted or not. Now I'm stuck with the "Simple Home" mode. I tried installing like 4 different home apk's from the Z2 with no luck. Moved the file to the system/app folder, changed permissions to rw-r-r and installing the apk. Finally I tried with a factory reset, but nothing happened.
I would like to know if there's a way to reinstall the original home.apk, where can I download it, and the right way to do it.
My phone model number is: D6503, Android version: 4.4.2, Build Version: 17.1.A.2.55
I used the Z2 Community Rootkit v01 to get me through the process of changing file permissions and access system folders. But haven't tried to download and flash any custom ROM, because I'm still new to all this, and don't want to mess things up more than they already are.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
Go to settings -> Home and you can chose the original launcher from there and remove unwanted launchers.

Launcher3.apk recognizes as Trojaner / Jiayu G5

Hello,
the stock-launcher is recognized by virustotal(.com) and kaspersky as Trojaner (adevertisment, downloading banking trojaner). Therfore i istalled an other lauchner (CM-Launcher). The problem is, the stocklauncher quitly runs at the background, so i have the idea to replace it by copy over it the new launcher, using it's name. Another reason is, if anything went wrong and the phone will fall back to the stock-launcher (and i had it deleted), i will own a useless phone. So the question is, is it possible to simply copy the CW-Launcher.apk to Launcher2.apk? The phone is rootet (4.4.2 original rom), location is system/priv-app...
I will not go back to factory reset, to many installation-work must be done. I've manually killed the downloaded bankingtrojaner (located at SD-card/Android/data, shutdownlistener)
Hope i can upload some attachment showing the problem...
Thanks,
chris
