Ok so I know to backup my efs folder. And have already done so when I first installed a custom rom. My question is I've installed several roms that backup the folder also and have ended up with around ten backups, can I delete these or do I need to keep all of the backups?

AS long as you have a working restore delete the rest or just save them to your PC .

I tried restoring a backup of a stock ROM, but upon start up, it comes up with the tutorial setup to find it hasn't restored any of my applications, only my system settings. Can someone explain what the hell is happening?

By restoring a backup in CWM. It just doesn't seem to restore any applications.
Can't say what your problem is there, but it might be worth investing in titanium backup pro (batch restore saves a lot of time and effort). Hope you get your apps back.

I use Titanium Backup already It's just easier using a nandroid back up for me. Didn't back up in Titanium Backup unfortunately but I managed to retrieve me apps by using App Extractor to extract the applications and contacts from the nandroid backup

If you only wanna restore your apps use advanced restore and select restore data

How did u make backup of the stock ROM?
Ok, I need your advice on this one cause I am a bit confused...
Ok lets say I am using a certain rom and have installed all the apps that I want. I have done a nandroid backup in case of something goes wrong.
Now, I want to flash another rom but want the apps that I already was using to installed in the new rom also. I know that I can backup with titanium but my concern is that when I will restore them will create duplicate folders or files on sd... is that going to happen or am I talking bull?
Can someone please suggest me a procedure to safely back up apps in order to use with another rom without messing up my sd folders or create duplicate files?
Also when I'll backup my apps do I have to back them up with their data also or not?
My apps are located on sd-ext and phone, none on SD so when I will restore them will they be placed where they were before?
It doesn't create duplicates.
You can use nandroid backup or titanium backup

Hi people,
I need help, I have a backup from Copy & Restore that I've made, and I need to recover some sms and contacts.
Is there anyway to recover this backup file in ICS or in a computer?

What's the issue??
Backup and restore app just backs up app and not data!
Use titanium backup for getting data backed up and getting it to restore!
If that's what you're lookin for

I dont know how to use terminal or sdk adb
Depends on the format of your backup, search for similar threads and follow the one that worked -or go read the sticky thread on efs.
