Has anyone else noticed this? I was getting pissed that I stopped getting my notifications and the only way I could get new emails was to manually go in and refresh. As soon as I uninstalled Go Launcher I immediately started getting notifications again.

I'm running Calkulin's rom and ever since I installed it, I randomly get the syncing icon in the status bar. It stays there for a while and keeps my tab up when I try to put it to sleep. Big battery drain. I've tried fcing different apps that I thought were the culprit, but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to see what's syncing? Or, does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
turn your gmail sync off
I was thinking it was gmail too. How do I turn off sync? I've checked the main settings menu, but I don't see under accounts and sync where to do it. This rom uses tnt's menu layout.
I have all my settings set up however randomly
my email sync will stop working or just not pull
anything.
I send test emails and wait for it to sync still
nothing. anyone else experiencing this or know
of a way to fix the issue?
Since upgrading my Bell ATRIX to Gobstopper 2.3.4 released by NFHimself, I have been having a few minor issues. One of them is that whenever I receive a new email (Hotmail, tried both pop and active sync, same result), com.Motorola.service.main force closes. For instance if I am looking at the list of emails and a new one comes in, I get the FC and the inbox screen closes. I can go back in and read my email, but this crash is annoying. I noticed that if I disable notifications for emails, the bug disappears. Simply disabling vibration and setting the ringtone to silent does not fix it, I have to untick "Notifications ".
Any ideas?
The motorola messaging widget is the only thing letting me know that I have email right now. I want sound, help!
Its broken
Bell and Moto are saying Atrix needs reflash that only they can do.
My push mail is broken for m.hotmail.com
As well battery dies in 3 hours now
Uses excessive amounts of data (moto blur service)
Device is warm all the time.
Obviously this is a coding bug as this is the 4th post I've found about this.
It has been my experience flashing roms in the past that cleaning out caches and doing a reset solves many problems. Might want to give that a try (if you haven't already).
It seems my phone is no longer syncing normally as expected. GMail doesn't seem to be pushing email and the built-in EMail app isn't notifying me either. Other random apps aren't syncing properly, either. It happens over both 3G & Wi-Fi. Sometimes restarting will fix for a moment as everything gets synced and notifications pop up for G/EMail. Twitter is about the only app that seems to be working properly.
Also GPS constantly stops working. A restart usually will re-enable it but it keeps failing. Opening Maps or other GPS-enabled apps does not get fix (GPS icon never appears). Even the GPS On/Off toggle does nothing most of the time.
I'm running Eclipse 1.3 on a 2.3.4 kernel with the beautiful ICS theme (Email app NOT themed). No settings were ever changed and checked to be set properly. I've even tried wiping Cache/Davik without success. I want to see if there is anything I can do before trying to Wiping/SBF back to 2.3.4 stock and reflashing.
Maybe I am missing a very simple option somewhere, but using the stock email app (not gmail) whenever I receive a new email notification the screen turns on.
I find this annoying when sitting at my desk, plus it drains the battery.
Anyone know if there is any way I can stop this happening?
