Hello
I would like to send a text message or forward a text message to more than 10 contacts on my Galaxy S2.
I do not want to group the contacts up.
I am new to Android and appreciate all the help
Thank You
Some time ago there was an app on the news-page. About some sort of mass-mailer. I think it does what you're searching for. You just have to search the main-page, as I don't remember the name.

HI
Not long had my X10i, and so far very impressed. However, Im trying to find out how to send a text message to my favourites. I run a football prediction league, and have 13 members. On my old samsung phone, i was able to type one sms and send to my 'group' of 13 contacts.
I have sorted my favourites out, but cant send an sms to them all at once?
How do i do it?
Thanks.
not sure that you can send it to a full distribution list
the only way is to select one then click left button to add more contacts you have to do that each time

Download the app Handcent, and use it as your messenger service.

i think after sending first sms with all 13 contacts (manuell added recipients), you will automaticly create an entry in your sms list, with a group u looking for.
1. new message
1.1. add recipient
1.2. menu key --> add recipient
1.3. menu key --> add recipient
..
1.13 menu key --> add recipient
2. type text
3. send sms
after this you schould create a groupe entry in your sms list. now you can use this to send further sms to your football group.

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to forward a message using the native gmail app on android to a group of contacts already established on gmail? I often need to forward an email to a group of employees but have found no way to do it other than logging on to gmail on the computer which isn't very efficient. I've searched quite extensively but have found no solution. It seems hard to believe - anyone know how to do it, or know of a third party app that works with gmail to do so? I'd really appreciate any response!

Well I don't know about a group. But you can add as many as you like. Just tested a mass Email to 35 people. Just open up the message. On the right hand side towards the top you'll see a star, an arrow facing left, and a triangle facing left. Press the triangle and a menu will pop up Reply, Reply All, and Foward. Then when box pops up for send to just add as many Contacts as you'd like.
Yes, that works, thanks, but then I'd have to memorize the names or emails of everyone in my group which isn't my strong point (especially for groups with lots of members)....

A backwards way of doing this, I figured out, is to copy the message text you want to forward to a group and then go into a program like Go Contacts, select the group you want, click email all, then paste the text into the email body. A bit cumbersome bit the only solution I can find. Anyone else have any other more straightforward solution? I can't believe the gmail app wont allow for this.

Has anyone tried Contact Lookup Pro for contact searching (particularly for groups) and then bulk emailing?

I use Group Contact Manager Pro application. It has option "Copy all email addresses to clipboard." which make possible to paste all group addresses into forwarded email. Maybe it is not perfect solution but at least it is a real forward displaying as such in gmail.
how can I send forward my inbox text messages (sms) in miui?
Thanks
Once you're in the texting app go and find the exact text you want to forward. Long press on it and you will get a few options. Click "forward". You should be good from there.

Hi,
I have recently taken Motorola XT910 phone. I am struggling to find a easy way of sending SMS to multiple people.
Is there any way to select multiple contacts and Send the same SMS..
Just keep picking people in the contacts header. Once a person is added, add another. Works great.

Go to contacts Make a group in contact and add as many as contacts in group you want and save it. When you compose sms then find for group that you saved then hit send all done
When I do this on the Nexus it shows that it sends a message to each person you selected. But they cannot respond to the group. I use Whatsapp for group texting.

Hello everyone,
I recently wanted to group text with people with iphones and one blackberry and needless to say it was a disaster. I have tried both the stock messaging app and SMS go, and both fail miserably when receiving and sending texts that are in a group thread, I receive them all separately and send them all separately. Is there an app to do this?
I have a LG Nitro HD on ATT.
And yes i have tried Google and searching the forums only to find people not coming up with an answer.
Thank you so much for your help
Does your phone have an SMS mode? I know mine does. Also if it doesnt try Slate Droid forums or Android Central. Hope this helps!
What do you mean SMS mode?
bump, does no one know the answer???
I think textplus offers free group texting

I would suggest checking out Kik messenger. I haven't researched the group messaging apps in a few months, but I know Kik was always pretty good about speedy receipt of messages, and it looks like it is back on Blackberry too (it had been removed from AppWorld for a bit). Kik will also allow you to send pictures. There may be another solution or two that would also solve your problem, so search around for apps similar to kik.
Hope that helps.
How about this?:
